Ekaterina Krysanova is so beautiful. And what a terrific performance of all the dancers!
The dance is as magic as the story...
La Sylphide is one of the Great Ballets of the History where the principal couple could show her/his talent, musicality, feeling sensibility and expressiveness...
Both Krysanova as Lopatin arre sublime performing this extraordinary Ballet. ❤️🌹👍🏻✨🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟✨
La Sylphide is dancing perfectly with so much Feeling. BRAVOOO...
Técnica perfecta ,expresividad a flor de piel.Emocionante !!!
Her feet move like magic when she did those fast runs en pointe!
One of my favorite ballets
BRAVISSIMI.BIGHIN GIULIO RENZO

Honestly I know nothing about ballet...other than that it is pretty to look at and I like Swan Lake haha. However I like mythology and I was reading a story and they mentioned Giselle and that it included sylphs (vila/vili/willis). I just watched a few clips of Myrtha and the Willis on youtube and maybe it was the wrong sections but I was quite disappointed. The choreography seemed so bland for sylphs! Then I read about La Sylphide - maybe it's the part of the performance or just this dancer or whatever but though I love both stories, if I ever had a choice between going to see a performance of the two, I'd definitely choose La Sylphide over Giselle! This dancing is exquisite and the choreography so beautiful and graceful and AMAZING!
If you watch Giselle, you have to watch the whole second act. Otherwise it is, yes, a bit boring. Although Giselle does not include sylphs. They are willis. Willis are dead ghosts of girls, who died before their wedding night, so they roam the woods at night, killing any man, they come accross, by making him dance till he drops. They are mentioned in Heinrich Heine's poem, Deutschland ein Wintermärchen, from where the entire ballet came to be. Both stories are tragic in itself. Although for completely different reasons. Sylphs are basically like fairies (mythological spirits of the air).
Not to mention the music is absolutely amazing 😻
Which company is this dancing is very nice but the set with its papiere mache rocks looks terribly cheap and spoils the efeect
It is Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Russia
Very distracting.
Great dancing but the uneducated audience keeps interrupting with applause
Yes I’ve noticed Clapping seems to be the culture in Russia, Ukraine, and Cuba. When the dancers Wows the audience with incredibly difficult steps and tremendous leaps , the audience show their appreciation by clapping. They may also shout bravo for the danseur and brava for the ballerina. But In western countries, they try to save clapping till the end mostly, except maybe when a ballerina flawlessly executes 32 fouettés or balances on one leg for a really long time
