Great band that nobody has heard of the album is brilliant
Wow, Mark Radcliffe played this twice on his show this morning. Immense tune.
YEP, BBC 6 MUSIC IS TO DIE FOR CHECK OUT STEWART MACONIE'S FREAK ZONE SUNDAY NIGHT PEACE
Gideon Coe also played it last night. Have you heard One Rizla by Shame? Have a listen and you'll see the striking similarities. It's almost like Shame did a cover version
@Jen handy I researched it after my comment. Turned out that Thus Love was November 22, Shame in 2018 as you correctly say. As soon as I heard Thus Love I assumed it was an 80's Post punk track!!
It's like I had a dream about my favourite 80s band that no one else can remember and you've finally turned ıp in real life. I love everything you do.
❤
Love this comment ♥️
If it were 1985 this band would be big, like Duran Duran or The Smiths big.
¡ Excellent ! It sounds like a fusion of 'The Replacements' and 'The Church.' With a little Chameleons thrown in as well.
Good God, 3 brilliant bands in one breath!
... I can also hear elements of Frozen Ghost, The Bolshoi and Fiction Factory... all great auditory tributes.
The 80s still live!
John Hughes would love this and put it on one of his movie soundtracks!
Glad to see I wasn’t the only one thinking of John Hughes
no nonsense spatial guitar, great vox and drumming. 2023's big thing mos def ! cheers Millsy
Also heard on BBC 6 Music this morning. Echoes of The Chameleons and The Wild Swans although judging by the photo the band are far too young to remember either band. Anyway, lovely stuff.
just played it again on 6 music and I love it, totally get the Wild Swans link, amazed anyone else remembers them.
what about 1000 Violins too and The Church?
This blew me away on first listen and cant stop playing it. Brilliant band.
Fantastic song, haunting melodies, brilliant guitar, vocal - all!
One of the best albums of 2022. Highly underrated band, amazing stuff!
They’re not under rated ! They are highly rated ! Don’t confuse success or popularity with talent . A great mistake of the young. It’s better that the plebs don’t know.
@@nopants3560 You know what I meant, don't be so nitpicky. If an artist is highly talented, and you think they are not being appreciated enough because only a handful of people care about their work, you can very much called them underrated. It has nothing to do with confusing popularity with talent.
Seen them supporting Dry Cleaning in Bristol last week. Even better live!
Their amazing live seen at Glasgow cant stop it playing them
Oh wow, discovered these guys just yesterday and haven't had this tune off the playlist, along with some of their others. Love it when you discover a band whose music just resonates so much. Getting serious Chameleons and Furs vibes. Fabulous.
From Japan
I found this CD and try to listen. Love cool guitar sound.
Then, I bought it and play this album in my room!
This LP is gold
This is exquisite in form, style and lyrics. You're awesome!
Yes Meem !! xoxo
Cracking tune that reminds me of early nineties jangly Manchester guitar bands. However, what do I know as just read the sound is in fact more like post punk. Definitely going to check out more from this band. Thank you as always Radio 6.
Absolutely love.this riff can't stop.playing
My favourite new song of 2022 - and I heard it for the first time on NYE !
Gorgeous song 😍
Kitchens of Distinction meets the Bolshoi, but with an edge - so cool
The verse parts (music) in Repetitioner have been stolen from the verse parts (music) in the song Something hot in a cold country by Echobelly from their 1995 album 'On'.
- C 01 - 10 - 2023
you're absolutely correct!
😉
Cant wait for this record!!!
Yoooo I saw these guys at a beach show on the fourth of July they leveled the damn place
Brilliant Song Amazing Band!
Ps. Sad to hear their original bassist left.
Gutted
@@nataliel4836 For the life of me I cannot find out why. Help - Do you know maybe? Thx
Come to Glasgow again please 🙏
This is "En la Ciudad de la Furia" by Soda Stereo a band from Argentina!
Literally just heard Mark saying that on their show, the their being Radcliffe and Marconie 6 music best station ever in the world evererer.
Such a beautiful song
Fucking tremendous this is
If there is one modern band I could tour with it would be thus love.
One of the best opening guitar riffs I've heard in a long time.Espect to hear it drifting across the fields of Glastonbury in the not to distant future
Your music hits home....
Absolutely beautiful song.
Autumnal 🍂
That was my first thought!!
Exquisite. 💞💐🌻
This is incredible
Want to see y'all in Australia. You'll be loved. And breakfast is on me.
Like sooooo totallyyyyyy 80s man! 🙏
Dr. Creepen!! You turned me on to this great band! Thanks 😊
greetings from Colombia. very good music. I congratulate you
What a tune ❤
🖤🖤🖤🖤
Another classic :)
Got tickets today ! Only £5 in Brixton . I bet it cost £100 to see Ed shitron
Beautiful song.
Like others heard the track on radio 6. And immediately thought of 80’s indie rock. Echoes of American band The Prime Movers track on the trail.
Beautiful 🖤
Bloody fantastic
Its the opening chord from the band "Killing Joke, love like blood" or Siouxsie and the Banshees "spellbound ". however, very cool sound !!!😎 I really like this band!! going 40 years back in time to cutting edge of college radio.
Yes...but it also sounds like FontainesDC Roys tune
How lovely is this ❤❤
Right tune 👍👌👌
Great stuff. Might sound a bit mad but I was reminded of Fatback Band's I found Lovin' by one of the guitar riffs 🙃
Such a GREAT Band I Love You Guys, please come and play in Tijuana CDMX and Monterrey my city, you are more than welcome here.
Banger tbf
KOOL 1!!!
When are you coming to Chile or South America?
🖤
Wow,love it.
I love the core sound of this band. great feel, lead singer vocals are immense. Really getting some Psychedelic Furs and Echo and the Bunny men vibes from them. The only thing I would currently say is i find the songs a little undercooked. They are a little long and repititive and on the album song to song are too similar. It's their first album so hopefully they I'll develop along the way. Would be great to hear more variation and 'colour' from them on future albums. They have amazing potential. keep up the good work boys.
Best band in the EARTH
I love Perfection
Goosebumps
tune !!
🤩
Fuck this song is beautiful
Musically it sounds very similar to Mihalis by David Gilmour.
Luv that DG Album
Omaha Introvert sent me here.
Same with me ))
sounds so authentically 80s
omg!!!
Kool
Love you mark radcliffe🙄
I know him.
Come to Stockholm, do itb now....
Guauuuu,me volví a enamorar de una banda.
This is like a sequel to rescue by echo and the bunnymen
It really is very close to Shames - one rizla …….very
Steve Lamacq sent me here
Me too!!! Thanks Steve ♥️
@@jackiemacmillan6264 Gid Coe’s also been caning it. What’s not to love?
Ps lush sounding tune..
I think he's in love with a German film star
🤣
Their sound does their talking not their social or sexual construct! Great track!
fanclub
He doesn't do a great job of not sounding like Peter Murphy.
Peter Murphy...????...No...Thus Love
The vocals sure do sound like influenced a lot by Morrissey's
The vocals sound somewhere between Morrissey and Paul Haig. Brillant band !
Seriously? I can hear inspiration from the genius of Johnny Marr but I really can't hear anything resembling the Cheshire Bore on vocals.
If the vocals sounded like morrissey, i wouldn't be listening to it. He's terrible.
@@whssy Maybe Dheeraj was really meaning Peter Murphyssey
Sounds like some dull band from the 80's like Then Jericho or Cactus World News, boring then irrelevant now.
