Nice review. Over the summer i was custom fit remotely for a LAB DF3. Counterbalanced, heavier head, 36 inches, NN head marking, SS 17 inch grip, most importantly 72 deg. lie angle. Yes its not the best looking putter like a Scotty C. but this one performs like no other. I saw the video of LAB CEO spinning this PXG putter in that revealer and it doesn't stay square thru the stroke. For me that's a no brainer. Yes the PXG looks more appealing to the eye, but i want a putter that I know that is Lie angle balanced to me and stays square to the line. No manipulation is needed to get it square at impact. Looking forward to your head to head video.

I would also watch PXG’s video on the Allan vs the DF3. I think it offers a completely new perspective on it rather than “the putter spins in our homemade tool”. Not on either side but I don’t think that video is as damning as people think and PXG did a good job showing the difference in the two putters.

@@CinemaSteve I watched both videos too ..........Exactly right . Every company is going to try and show how their putter is better than their competitor's .
I say if the PXG looks and feels better over the LAB buy it , or vice versa . Different strokes for different folks 😁👍
Axis 1 comes to mind for the so called zero torque putter that Justin Rose plays comes to mind too.

Similar concept and goal but two slightly different ways of getting there. There will be other putters coming out that will also follow suit because of LAB's popularity.

I tried the Allan putter at the PXG store. Like the LAB, Axis and others, I just can't get used to the onset shaft. And don't get me started on the price! I remember when I thought $300 was outrageous for a putter. For me, I saw much more initial skidding as compared to my Bat Attack putter. The Allan also felt harsher than the Bat Attack. I really wanted to like it, but at the price, I didn't want to experiment. Maybe in a few months, when I find a used one, I will pull the trigger. BTW, I love your videos.

I've been using a Never Compromise Zi Kappa for over 2 decades now mainly because I love it but as I've discovered because I'm colorblind the silver and black works best for me. Looking at this PXG putter I think I'm going to have to try it out. Something about that contrast just sets up great to my eye.

Played my first rd this morning with the Allan putter. As an 8 hc golfer putting has been hiding me back. Recent Rds have been average 38 putts with three 3 putts. This morning, 32 putts with zero 3 putts. You literally feel like you can't miss from 3/4 ft. Every early days but I'm a believer

@@derekl3495 PXG does have a revealer type gizmo as well and LAB passed with flying colors. But the PXG putter in the LAB revealer gizmo still spins around like a conventional putter. all the Revealer does is suspends the putter by a hook and you make a putting motion. its nothing special or built to trick anyone.

Why in the world anyone wants to use a putter that is designed to be used in a “revealer” is a mystery to me. I want one that is designed to be used when I put my hands on it. The L.A.B. putters are probably great in a revealer but as soon as I touch it I have defeated the “zero torque” claims. The L.A.B. feels like it twists during the stroke very easy.

Hi Gabe, good video but not for me I just think it looks awful.
Personally have always used blade style putters. For all the supposed technology the manufacturers try to say is in their putters ultimately if you cannot read greens or have an inconsistent strike nothings going to help.
A carbon shaft to minimise flex! How fast are you swinging it? Maybe I’m just too cyncical but I think there is a lot of “emporers new clothes” about a lot of the so called technology.
The one thing for me I don’t like is any sort of insert I always want to feel metal to ball.
