- I'm not sure it gets more exciting than this for a brush addict! I designed this custom gouache brush set in partnership with Craftamo and I'm so excited to finally show them! In this video I'll do an unboxing, show some juicy closeups, and then demo the brushes with watercolor and gouache. The official launch date is Dec. 30 and I'll do a live stream during the launch.

Hi Sara! I found your gouache paint review through google. I started with the Miya HIMI gouache set about a year ago so I was very surprised that they were rated so low. I was thinking wow, I think they’re great but WHAT AM I REALLY MISSING OUT ON! I saw Winsor and newton was at the top of the list and was confused - long story short I had recently tried using the student grade W&N gouache and it was not enjoyable and then I figured out you use the designer set. So I ordered those through your link last night and look forward to trying them out! Now I’m considering buying your brushes too so I’m here leaving a supportive comment 😂 much love, thank you for sharing your art and expertise!

Bummer these are already sold out. This is the *perfect* set of gouache brushes. I have many many watercolor brushes and need new ones like a hole in the head, but I don’t have gouache specific brushes. I use my acrylic brushes for gouache, whatever I have on hand, and I’m never satisfied. I’ve seen other gouache sets on Craftamo but they are smaller than what I’m looking for, especially since I want to loosen up. This set looks damn near perfect.

Arrived today (UK). Yay!!
The box and artwork is beautiful, and I adore the separate print which showcases textures in landscape Sarah has created with these brushes. Simply gorgeous.
Of course, the stars of the show are the brushes. Aesthetically beautiful dark turquoise handles with sizes clearly printed on the handle (you'd be surprised how many companies of coloured pencil brands use colours that are difficult to read!!) These brushes feel lovely in the hand and bristles/hairs or whatchamacallit, are firmer than my sable watercolour brushes... So I've clearly been using brushes inappropriate for gouache and making my life unnecessarily harder, lol.
The quality is superb... and the points... I reckon detail work will be a cinch even with the larger brushes. Beautifully manufactured with care. I'm even looking forward to playing with the 'rigger' which I think I'll be using a lot for detail and line work. I'm sooo excited to create 😁
So happy I lucked in and didn't miss the launch. Hope there is a second (third... Forth...ad infinitum) run of these brushes as they appear to cater for every gouache need.

Congrats! Looks like a great set. I have a million brushes of every sort, but I have to say I am intrigued enough to want to give these a try. Where are these being shipped from? I am asking because I know there is currently mail problems in the UK and I live in the US.
Good question! The company is based in the UK but I’m not sure where the shipping warehouse is. But I guess they will probably offer tracking which is good for piece of mind.
