That’s a good “real world” demonstration of a “contactless” was, the paintwork looked great from what I saw, which I think would be good enough for most people, me included for the taxi, but the key would have to be a well prepped and protected car to begin with, as yours is 👍😊
Thanks for watching! Yea it came up good to be fair I was just hoping for better in my head 🤣 but yeah because the paint on mine is well protected and does help alot with this process for sure. Yes this could be enough for most people I agree and wanted to see what the results are like for myself. 👍
@@the_jnlt_channel I think people in general wouldn’t get that the car needs to be specifically cleaned and prepped and may use this expecting it to work perfectly and be unimpressed with it Was thinking of getting some “touchless” stuff from BH tbh
Another great demo, when the weather is as bad as it's been I think a contactless wash makes a lot of sense! I sometimes do it on relatives cars when I've already got the pressure washer out to do mine but I'm like you with my own car, it would bother me if it wasn't 100% clean
Thanks for watching Heather. Yeah I agree if it is too bad to get out and do a proper wash, at least this gets some of the grime off. I've done it on relatives cars as well, maybe because they are not chasing perfection like I am on my car 😂
Great work! Doing a contactless wouldn’t get rid of everything as you have said but at least it’ll get the car back in a bit of a respectable state given the weather we’ve been having 😊
Thanks for watching! Yeah not bad results but I guess in my head I thought, as I used two different pre wash products which have strong cleaning power it would be completely clean. That is why the contact wash is still an important stage of the clean 👍
Nice video, it’s a shame there really doesn’t seem to be a way of getting alloys clean without a brush or mitt. Take it easy on those rims with the water pressure or it’ll get under the lacquer and the silver work will start looking milky. Good luck 👍
Thanks for watching! Yeah it is a shame isn't it. Ok thanks for the advice, I haven't had an issue when cleaning these wheels for like 2 years now so I'm always pretty careful 👍
What make are your spray bottles and where did you get them? I’m after a decent sprayer at a reasonable cost. Interesting video- with the cold weather might try this as an option to keep on top of things.
Thanks for watching! These are from eBay, really good for the price been using them for about a year now no issue. Here the link to them www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155046336524?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=uiqyrcpnqko&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=nrzR30U0SSO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Yes definitely a good way to give the car a quick wash during this sort of weather 👍
Over xmas i was on nights so barely saw daylight. But i had(😂) to do something. Surfex on the wheels, Autofoam everywhere else, get the Hydroshot and rinse with Spotless water. Back in bed in well under 30mins. It was a one off and my car forgave me. She appreciated i even did anything at all! Now I'm back to normal days i can prat around for 2-3 hours (which is my preferred norm). Like you, contactless is not enough, but its like a Pot Noodle (an In Case of Emergency desperate measure only)
Thanks for watching! Yeah if you haven't got a choice, what can you do. It's better than nothing! I'm the same, I prefer the full process and the end results with that. Pot noodle 🤣🤣
Great video. Your car definitely looked cleaner, but as you demonstrate, not 100% clean. Shows that good quality chemicals can help to get you so far, but nothing beats a safe contact wash. If you weren't filming, how quickly do you think you could have done the job - 30-40mins?
Thanks for watching mate. Yes it definitely removed a lot of the main dirt just left that slight traffic film behind. So if I wasn't filming I reckon you're right about 30 -40mins which Is good if you just want to remove most of the winter grime and add some more protection. 👍
Good video that! I've never done contactless and never had the urge and that's proven why. I think I'd rather cause a little micro marring and polish out in the spring, if I'm honest. If it hadn't rained, how would you have dried the car? All the best mate. 👍
Thanks for watching! Yes I was the same before but wanted to give it ago for TH-cam. I agree, once the weather is better you can do all your polishing etc. So I had a leaf blower, which I was just going to use for the full process as I don't own a car dryer (well the one I had is broken). I wouldn't normally use the leaf blower but would have done for this video just to show the whole contactless wash process. But it rained, so that was scraped 😂
How do you dry the car after a contactless wash? There are still a rest of the dirt on the car so drying with a microfiber towel can produce scratches. But without drying it will leave water spots. So what’s the safest way? How long do you need for a full contact wash?
@@lemony_ so if your doing this process of a contactless wash, then you need a car dryer to dry it. Since doing this video I have found better pre wash products that remove nearly all the dirt, like touchless V2. I would only recommend the contactless wash when the car isn't too dirty tbh 👍
It’s not bad given that it’s a contact less wash. I think it’s better to do this if you’ve not got much time. It’s definitely good to tend to the wheels as leaving them without any form of cleaning leads to the build up of brake dust and if left unattended it leads to corrosion in the barrels. Obviously if you’ve got the time it’s contact wash all the way. Good demo 👍🏽
Thanks for watching! Yeah it wasn't bad at all just I was thinking it was going to be better in my head 😂 good way of removing the winter grime for sure and if you haven't got time for the whole process 👍
Personally I wouldn’t bother. My mind wouldn’t let me leave my car still dirty. I also wouldn’t put a coating or rinse any over a dirty vehicle, feels like a waste of product to me. Good video tho! 😎
Thanks for watching! I wouldn't do it again for sure and after I re washed the car to make sure it was done correctly. I agree I wouldn't want to waste the sealant either but for the purpose of the video, I wanted to follow the process through. Just a shame the contactless wash removed less then I thought it would 👍

As you mentioned there’s no way of removing traffic film unless you contact wash it.
