  • This is a walking tour in the Old Town of Zadar, Croatia taken on May 19, 2024. Zadar, a historic city on Croatia's Dalmatian coast, is known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning natural beauty, and vibrant contemporary attractions. The city boasts well-preserved Roman and Venetian ruins, including the Roman Forum and the 9th-century pre-Romanesque Church of St. Donatus. Zadar's picturesque old town, set on a peninsula, is filled with narrow, cobbled streets and ancient stone buildings. Modern highlights include the Sea Organ, an architectural sound art object that uses the movement of the sea to create music, and the Sun Salutation, a solar-powered light installation. Surrounded by beautiful Adriatic beaches and close to several national parks, Zadar is a blend of historical charm and modern innovation, making it a unique and appealing destination.

Hello Arwin, Lately you have been providing us with some great walks of Croatia, I have been enjoying all of them. Thank you very much! I appreciate your work a lot! Small note: I personally would greatly appreciate it if you could mention the approx. date of filming in the description. It adds to the immersion in my point of view :) Thanks!

We really enjoyed Zadar, particularly because of the great excursions we took from there (the Kornati Islands, and Plitvice National Park) but also, its Sea Organ, the Roman Forum, the Venetian cathedral ...) so much to see and do. We went at the end of September, so there were fewer crowds. I cannot imagine the hubbub in June July and August!

I love Zadar pretty much the same reasons as you. I usually stay across the bridge, the road next to the sea is just stunning! Great for bike rides back to the old town or a jog. It can be a bit dangerous though with the guard rails but amazing nonetheless.
