It really felt like a Spielberg film. Universal themes about survivers guilt, PTSD, forgiving yourself. Take the orginal Godzilla film mash it with JAWS and Jurassic Park and you get Minus One

Watched the spoiler-free bit; thanks for the review! Having lived in China and seen their industry, I feel America’s is limited in a similar way (obviously to a lesser degree). I don’t fully understand why inserting social messaging necessarily makes the story worse, but it’s getting hard to deny the correlation now. It’s really refreshing to watch foreign movies and older western ones. I’ll be sure to watch this when it’s released in the UK
