Amazing song, Amazing lyrics. From what I understand, the lyrics are partially referring to the band and their destinies aligning. They really just got me pumped up and ready for battle. It's another epic masterpiece, one of the first songs I remember watching when I started with this band, The awesome change ups through the song really stick with me. One thing their Music Videos don't do, Is highlight how incredible Haruna is, She is a wrecking ball that doesn't ever stop, if you listen again without the video, focus on the drums, just fantastic.
The band plays this song in a lot of their LIVE shows. On stage, Asami (lead vocalist and stage general extraordinaire) introduces this track as "this is us" and you should check out these amazing ladies kill this track LIVE !
After composing “When Destinies Align” , Miyako gave it the temporary title “LOVEBITES”. She had been saving that honor since 2017 for use when she wrote a song “devine” enough to bear the band’s name. Miyako described the song as melodic speed metal. Recognizing the song as representative for the band, Asami wrote the lyrics about its five members. 🤘

Asami was a ballet student for years thus her graceful movement on stage and with her arms. Check out her ballet steps in Frozen Serenade th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html While 4' 10"may not make her the ideal ballerina, her graceful movements make her a real Napoleon stage general when she grabs a mic and hits the stage. A song about the band sticking together from the start despite the struggles to make it in the ultra competitive Japanese music scene. Sadly, Miho/bass (founder and one who put the group together) ended up leaving for personal reasons in 2021 (replaced by Fami), still the group went on a long hiatus searching for Fami and stayed together throughout the process. Here is another great lyric rich song done by Asami. Midori with that eye patch just confirms she is the basa$$ of the band and the one I want on my side if something happens....LOL

The story is about five warlords who fought together in the Warring States period, who are reincarnated in the present, trade their swords for musical instruments, and form LOVEBITES when their destinies are aligned. "When Destinies Align" The original plan was for five warlords from the Warring States period, but it wouldn't be interesting if everyone was in armor, so one of them was dressed in light clothing like a ninja. The color of the kimono underneath the armor was changed for each member. As a result, Miyako-san ended up in light clothing like a female ninja (=kunoichi=ku no ichi). "Kunoichi" refers to a female ninja. The name was chosen because the kanji character "女" (女=on na= woman ) can be broken down into the characters "く", "ノ" and "一". Break down the kanji character "on'na" → "く" (ku) "ノ" (no) "一"(ichi) "く" (hiragana) "ノ" (katakana) "一" (kan-sūji＝Numbers written in kanji) The costume rental store didn't have enough armor for five people, so they reused armor and shot each person individually. The "eyepatch" used in the shoot is difficult to put on when wearing full makeup. The "eyepatch" for the "One-Eyed Samurai" was originally supposed to be worn by Miyako-san, but since both eyes had already been made up, they put the "eyepatch" on Midori-san, who was next in line for the shoot. 「隻眼の侍」＝「独眼の侍」= "One-Eyed Samurai"🤗

To see their other side, strongly recommend ballad "Epilogue" IMHO one of the best ballad in metal.
