I really liked your tutorial. It was very informative. I don't think I'm going to buy the Omni photo stick, however. The user interface looks like the software was hastily cobbled together. It was good to see that you had problems right away not being able to see the photo stick in your recents folder and that you had to create a workaround that required extra steps and also worked with one phone, but not another is a good enough reason to seek out a more reputable and more established photo stick manufacturer. Plus, their perpetual 40% off limited time offer, which is actually available all of the time, smacks of snake oil salesman tactics. Thank you for your tutorial and the sneak peek!
Thanks! This brand actually wouldn't be my first choice for a "photo stick" either, but it is what my sister wanted and she is not very tech-savvy, so the the video was actually to help her. For me, I would be more likely to just use a generic USB stick and copy selectively.
But I can’t find the Erase button (in case I tipped wrong and I actually don’t want to backup that one) and I can’t find how to sort and organize files and photo albums.
I think all you have to do if you selected something that you don't want to include, it to touch it again to unselect it. As far as the organization, I don't think there is much organization included. Everything just goes into the same folder. However, you could do a selective backup, then cut/paste the backed up files into another folder before repeating the backup with another selection.

I think it keeps the file directories. I can't check to tell you for sure as I have sent the photostick as a Christmas present and no longer have it to test.
Sorry, I don't know the answer to this as I only tested with Android phones. Even with Android, it worked with one phone and not another. If possible, you should ask the seller as they may have more specific information for you.
It doesn't require that the phone be active with a carrier, just that the phone is operational. Make sure the phone is fully charged, then plug the photostick in and see what files are on the phone.

Sorry, I can't answer this question. I only tested on 2 Android phones, so I am not sure how well it works on iphones. On the Android however, it found everything.
I can't figure out how to delete the photos from my iPhone after backing them up on the Omni Photo Stick? I would hate to have to delete each photo individually. But my Photo Stick doesn't have a menu button to permanently delete all photos that have been backed up. Any help would be appreciated.
You can delete them from the phone app, not using the Photo Stick. I don't have an iPhone, but I do have an iPad. On the iPad, you go to the Photos app and select (it lets you select all), then delete. I would think the iPhone photos would work similarly. There is also a "files" app where you can go to your library and do the same thing. I hope one of these options is available for you on the iPhone.

Yes, I think so, although I did not test it on an iPad. It has an Apple connector, so I assume it will work with an iPhone or iPad. (But, since I didn't test that, I can't say for sure)
Yes, it backs up other files besides photos if you choose. I didn't specifically test backing up notes, so I can't say 100% that it does, but it should.
Yes, you choose what files to backup, so if you had more files than would fit on one stick, you could select the ones that didn't get backed up to put on another stick.
Yes, if you needed more storage, you could just use another stick. I doubt that you would get any type of prompt telling you which files you had backed up, so you would probably need to select which portion of your files you want to back up on each stick. In my case, the Photostick had more space than the phone, so all the files could be backed up.
One of my phones didn't work with the Photostick, but with one I was able to get it to recognize that the stick was plugged in by rebooting with the Photostick already plugged in. Then the phone recognized it. But, like I said, on one of my phones, it just wouldn't work.
Omnistick ssd is NAND, where each individual memory cell can only handle a limited number of writes before wearing out. How many writes they can handle is often specified in 1,000 or more, they cannot handle current transients and spikes, humidity heat or cold. Which means that transfer to omnistick does not mean protection of material forever. In reality, it is the same protection as the memory device the material is already on. In addition, every time copying of digital material takes place, some of the data is lost during the transfer.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work on all phones. I had the same problem. Had 2 (both Android) phones and it worked on one and not the other. If possible, you could return as defective.
I regret to say that this does not work on my smartphone. I always get a different screen and so I can not use the back up. I put the stick aside and send my photos to my gmail, so I can save them. I am very disappointed with it. Nobody can help me with it, I live amongst elderly people and they do not know anything about these things.
I am sorry that it didn't work for you. It also didn't work on one of my phones no matter what I did. As I mentioned in my video, I bought this for someone else. I actually haven't purchased one for myself, because I think there are better solutions, but the person I bought it for is not at all tech savvy. It worked for her, but I suggest Dropbox or Google Drive which can automatically back up your device. You might want to try googling how to back up photos to one of these. Both have some amount of free storage. If they are backed up to one of these services, you can save from there or just leave them in the cloud to access when you want. Good luck.

I also prefer cloud storage, but this works for some--particularly someone who doesn't understand cloud storage and just wants to get photos off their phone. Doesn't work on all phones though. I wouldn't call it a scam exactly, but it is definitely not all it is advertised to be.

However, this video was actually meant to help the person that I bought it for. For someone who is not technically proficient, but who needs to back up their phone, this can be a decent "plug and play" solution (assuming it will work on their phone).
I believe this to be a video produced by the company. I found the Photo Stick Omni to be complete trash. I bought several as Christmas gifts and kept one for myself and decided to use it today. I originally downloaded pics from a Samsung Galaxy S10 and then from a Windows 10 PC and was originally satisfied. Then I realized that several photos sent via text were not copied. I moved them to Gallery and tried to download the new additions. It was then that I found TPS to be completely wiped. Nothing saved at all! I spent the next several hours re-tracing my steps, deleted the app, restarted and reinstalled several times. Nothing. I kept looping back into "Getting Started". Then I contacted TPS Customer "service". After repeating the canned information they gave me -- same as what I found on TH-cam and TPS -- I eventually received an email from "Teresa" who informed me they were closing my file. There is nothing wrong with my PC or my cell phone; the Photo Stick is clearly defective. There was no offer to swap my bad one for a potentially good one. They just cut ties and abandoned ship. This item does not work. Customer Service is useless. I believe most positive reviews come from people who downloaded picture but never tried to re-use TPC for additional photos. I wish I had just given my relatives the money instead of spending so much of it on this worthless POS.

You don't have to rescan everything. When you do subsequent backups, you can select specific folders from storage.
I search it on my iPhone from the app , there are 2 app for the photo stick Omni, which one do I get?
The title is ThePhotoStick Omni and it has the same logo as the PhotoStick package.

The software is on the stick. You can use the adapter with other sticks though.
