To me, it was always "Thank you" was never aware people heard it differently for the longest time. I do think people's hearing works differently or people just want to hear it for the sake of causing controversy.

To make it easy for you, do you think they wanted the most succesful franchise of Rare, which Microsoft paid a lot of money for back in the day, to be a totally different game than all the fans wanted and expected? Do you really think that they intended to make it a kart game when they announced the trailer back in the day which gave away basically the third game in the franchise and there were 0 cars to be seen? So, this game threw the whole franchise into a direction nobody asked for, and because of poor sales and disappointment amongst fans it also killed the franchise. And all of these reasons doesn't make it a bad game, but it does give us a sour taste in our mouths when we think about it. Cheers! :)

lol, most of these are so blatantly obvious, but are still vague enough for kids not to notice them. Most of them are the same kind of dirty jokes you would find in many PG rated children's movies. I am slightly surprised at what they got away with in Jolly's Bar, though... I mean, Grab-a-sailor-night? Seamen's Brew? Definitely a bit more risque than I'd expect for an E-rating. :P
and of course the devs/directors can't help but make adult jokes bleed through, even into their G/E rated games. But do you really expect the ESRB to notice all of that? They'd have to be pretty perverted, enough to where a kid obviously wouldn't understand. But as for adults who want to play an E rated game without any sort of adult jokes or innuendos, tough luck.
