I had fun doing this! I ran across your video, pulled out some wool yarn and crocheted away. I just finished felting the wool, blocked it, and my potholder looks awesome!!! I made it in gray, white and gold. Really pretty. Thank you for sharing. Many blessings!
Thank you so much, Shweta! I agree, it is a great project to learn tapestry. I enjoyed making the colorful potholders a lot. I appreciate your positive feedback! Happy crocheting!
Hi Lisa, you're welcome! I'm so glad you like this pattern. What a great idea to make a purse with it. I can already imagine how cute it will be! Happy crocheting!
handmadebyraine I pulled out some colors out of my stash and scraps and I’m going to make it. Well, try because I’ve never done that stitch before but following you I think I can do it. 👍 I’ll let you know. 😁
everytime i try to teach myself to knit something like this pops up and it's back to crochet. Thanks for sharing! looks so lovely will be making in hemp most likely. What about making another for the back to cover it up it could be just single color, what does the back look like?
Thank you, Ophelia! I'm so glad to hear my tutorial is inspiring for you to pick up another crochet project! The back of the potholder actually looks very nice. To me it looks perfect to keep it this way but you can definitely double it to cover the back and make it thicker which is a good thing for potholder! :)
Hi , thank you for sharing your beautiful potholder tutorials. Do you have a graph or written instructions to follow. If yes can you please let me know where to find it. Regards Renate
Thank you so much i was looking for circle tapestry with easy working i tried one it was so nice hope you can show us another video with bigger circle .i put for kitchen decoration
raine, i just wanted to know you made a tutorial on the toweltopper using the waffle stitch.how many chains would i need to make a dishcloth?are you doing to be making more tutorials with doilies and a placemat and a holder to place fork, knife and spoon on placemat.thank you, nancy
Hi Nancy, the towel starts with 60 chains - it's multiple of 3 plus three. I have 19 waffle squares - 57 chains plus 3. So if you want to make a smaller dishcloth let's say 10 waffle squares, you would need start with 33 chains. I am going to make more doilies, but I haven't thought about placemat yet.
Thank you so much Joanne! It’s a shame you waited until the fifth round to give your tip on how to keep the yarn from twisting because I had a twisted mess of yarn! Tips like this should be given at the outset of your video.. otherwise, the pattern is coming out as it should.
Or.......you could have watched the video through first, which is the logical thing to do with a new pattern, and then you would have known to do that. Plus you should have been able to recognize thay it was twist and tangle and fixed jt as you went. It's only 2 yarns as a time. Also it's not like she's a paid profession. Just a very nice person sharing with us a pattern she came up with.
Thank you very much for these very clear explanations and your work. I like it a lot.
Glad to hear that! You are welcome!

I Love it! How would I keep it flat to make placemats?
Thank you Patty! If it curls I would recommend adjusting the tension by using smaller size of hook or thicker yearn. Happy crocheting!
So very nice
Thank you, Suzanne!
These are super cute, I've never done the tapestry stitch.
Thank you! I hope you want to try! It's not as difficult as it may seem.

Could I make it double thickness?
Hi Denise, I'm sure you can! I think someone made 2 pieces and then stitched them together, it could be one way! :)
Can I make this with two colors?
Sure, why not.
Good
Just to clarify.....a 3.24mm hook? Seems kinda small and maybe your handle is throwing me off, but mine seems smaller.
Yes, I used 3.25 mm hook.
3.25 mm cotton yrd
