This is legit a concern living in northern maine. Between the wind and amount of snow, once I got to slide out the window down a huge drift of snow that had blown up against the house. Years later, i still regret it hasnt happened again. I got to slide down a pile of snow from the second floor. It was delightful
It takes a certain level of playful to look at "snowed in" with that attitude. Honestly, I never got to experience snow like that, but if it happens to me now that I'm living in Washington State, I'll welcome the opportunity to try tunneling away from the front door.

I remember a couple years where kids could park their snowmobiles on the roof of my high school building because the snow had made a perfect ramp. The building was only one story, but still, people are stunned when I tell them that.
