  • This video shows how I tap center. I use a method I developed myself which uses a rhythm established by the pot touching the left hand. You tap with the right hand on the up beat of the rhythm. No guess work , mysticism, or esoteric knowledge required. You just need some coordination and practice on how hard to tap.
    I hope it helps.
Here are some links to some other videos on tap centering.

The moment this dude said he was applying his engineering knowledge to develop a technique you know this is gonna be a good video

I've tried to learn how to tap center from all the big potters on social media and have never gotten it. This makes so much sense and is so much easier, thank you so much!

Genius. I haven't tried it but I know I can do this. This is the only explanation I've seen on here that makes sense. Thank you so much.

Beautiful solution! This is very helpful. "Practice makes better," but only if I know HOW to practice in the first place.

After going through a lot of videos about tap centering this is the only video that actually taught me! Thank you!

Very promising. I will give it a try. I too have been frustrated by lack of analysis or real method from TH-cam potters.
