in my head canon Jegan number 69 is piloted by a guy named Chad Thundercock who survived the second Neo Zeon war and still fights using the same Jegan until the Zanscare Empire war in Victory Gundam, lol.
The simplicity of this kit really lends itself to customizing. I just bought the MG Jagan to use for kit bashing but after looking at it ,I felt it was too cool of a kit to sacrifice .
The stark jegan from unicorn is a standard release as well. If they were to do a revive version they should base the design off the jesta [to some degree] specifically the torso area which has decent movement compared to the solid torso of the jegan. But I'm just rambling here cause the jesta came out just two years after this one... They'd obviously go for up to date standards. Anyway!
Ah, the HGUC Jegan. I love this kit but one of my biggest gripes is the inconsistencies is the beams. In CCA they were yellow- but they were retconned to be pink. (They were changed back to yellow for a few SD G Gen Games though) I personally think they were cooler as yellow so I use yellow beams whenever I pose mine with its sabers.
Funny this video should randomly come up in my recommendations. I was sent one of these kits a while back to use as reference for webcomic project that never happened. At first, I was kind of irritated that it was something I'd have to build. But when I knuckeld down and got it done, I was amazed at the end results. Really a fun kit to build. And I can totally see how so many folks are so into building these things. It's a very handsome robot.
The most modern jegan in hg line is actually the jegan blast master, which ditched the hip ball joint for modern pegs. Guess you could still make regular revised jegan with that kit, only in orange and no beam saber blades, no shield, and no default chest parts. They only included blastmaster's chest piece and shoulder parts.
This is a real gem of a comment. I'm about to do a custom Jegan using ECOAS type for the Jegan-D type. Definitely gonna hunt a Blast Master now for the improved hip joint.
Was considering the Jegan for my first gunpla build since it's my fave grunt suit but it's sold out in all my local stores :( Might go with the Stark Jegan instead.
I built that kit way back when it came out and really liked it. The complaint that I have with the hguc jegan and it’s variants is really the lack of hands. I wish they had an open palm or closed fist. The hand type is also a bit bigger than the hands that came on the gm kits from around that time and unfortunately you couldn’t use spare gm hands on the jegan. All those gm kits especially from 0083 had really great sets of hands and then they cheaped out on the jegan kits
No, oddly enough the hands on those gm kits are actually smaller. The char’s counter attack kits are a bit bigger than the previous hg kits. But as another oddity the Zaku f2 and a few other zeon kit hands of the time will work with the neo zeon kits of that series other than the hguc sazabi which has bigger hands.
I am sure when they made a new Jegan kit from the ground up, it will be very very good. Because the Jegan is with the Zaku II the most popular Grunt Suit.
I had this idea a few days ago, just wondering, are most of the parts compatible with either the HGUC Nu Gundam or the Entry Grade Nu Gundam, because I really want to make this kitbash I call "Jegan Nu spec" which is just the Jegan with some parts from the Nu
Painting this kit now. Would be nice if someone on YT would shed some light on how to paint standard verniers and thrusters, like the Yellow for the Jegan
The way I would tackle the thruster bells would be to mask, prime, and then spray yellow. The verniers mounted on the body like shoulders and top of backpack I would treat similarly i the bells except to color in the square recess around the nozzle I would either hand paint or put a ball of sticky tack into the nozzle to mask the previously sprayed yellow and spray grey.
That color......what were they thinking...? Did you guys know the early deployment model use very traditional red/white color scheme similar to traditional GM. But the feedback from early testing was it stand out to much so they change the color to this green..... So that it blend in more.....? Hahaha, the color scheme was probably the least of their worry.

Gundam Thundercock when?
@@kingn0ah377 2023 fingers crossed
He then upgrades his jegan to transform into a gundam.
@@jaypeadieL611 A Gundam with a Jegan head and color scheme would be badass.
YES NO MATTER WHAT THIS IS CANNON NOW

Yeah I totally get what you mean!
Man, I love this kit. It's so chunky and solid and it looks so nice even with the seams and missing colors.
Jegan is my favorite grunt suit. Always reminds me of the ODSTs from Halo.
Really cause the Jegan always remind me of the marines from halo 3 and the Jesta give me ODST vibes

seeing as how there's a kajillion remoulds of the HGUC Jegan, all i gotta say is "I will destroy P-Bandai"

Nothing like waking up at 3 AM to a new Gundam a video that looks like such a bad ass kit 👍
This is my favorite grunt suit ever thank you for reviewing it:)
0:37 - Vanilla? I'd say it's closer to mint chocolate chip with that coloring XD
My 7th hg model kit and it is so cool love the mint color really my fav grunt suit
Love the video! Would like to see a video of you modifing the jegan (this hg or the mg you mentioned) into a heavily armed/armored version!
*coughs in Stark Jegan*
YES! I’ve been waiting for awhile

What a nice ms to look at
Jegan is one of my favourite grunts
I am the grunt
It’s a gunda-! Oh, nevermind it’s just a grunt suit.
I salute you, fellow grunt suit enjoyer.
Respect
I’m close to having all the P Bandai Jegans. The default Jegan is one I haven’t picked up yet.
5:52 nice
6:43 also nice

One of my favorite grunt designs ever!
Never realized the jegan didnt have front skirt armor. Huh
An entry grade or HG revive would be so good for this kit

was actually eyeing this since forecer. now i know to buy it
A bit of panel lining really makes this one pop, too
ABS joints in high grades make me happy
Ah man, now thats a work of art.
Need panel lines painted to make him pop
Was any similar to Rgm 89 jegan to Rgm 89j from Gundam F91 movie?
I like the Jegan but that color! I would let myself get blown up easily, too if my mobile suit was that color.
This is weird coincidence, i order HGUC Geara Zulu Guard Type but my seller wrongly sent me this Jegan and it arrived today, then this video show up.
I think you should grab Jegan F91 ver
I Like the regular Megan but I like the ecoas one more
It begins...
This looks very modern for a 2009 kit.

Looks worry my time as a Jegan. Nice.
This kit is $39.99 and Barnes and Noble.
Stark jegan is a regular release
What is your favorite grunt?
Oh I finished mine not too long ago. Lol.
Hguc jegan kit is very nice!!
He looks like he's made of mint chocolate

The GM is kinda mint green, too. Just not as much as the Jegan.
if they are really worried about standing out in space they shouldve painted all their space use suits in the jesta colors or something lol
I just bought this kit
dat pewdiepie merch tho ZakuAurelius confirmed 19 year old
19 and proud
Nice kit
This a very nice kit
Jegans are like GMs on steroids.
You had to pick 69

It's a nice kit, but the color...makes it even more...toyish?
Ez8 review
the green plastic on this looks so soapy on camera, this kit is absolutely one that needs to be painted or at least topcoated
Panel lining, some painting for the thruster intakes and verniers, and some light weathering would help it too. ;)
@@DarkAlex1978 The Jegan D type had a color variation that was exactly that. The test/prototype/or early colors or something
