This might be the coolest car Lamborghini has made since the Countach. The fact that this both exists and does what it was designed for so well is an absolute treat
I think the STO is cooler like yeah it's fun driving this thing off road when it's not your car....I'd imagine a real owner would cringe at the likelihood of rock damages and repair costs
Personally I think the Lamborghini Countach is downright hideous . The Diablo was a pretty good-looking car . But I would say my favourite would be the Aventador SV . And modern Lamborghinis don't just look good , they're actually quite reliable . Thanks to Volkswagen owning Lamborghini .

To me, it's the most striking design Lamborghini has ever put out and that in itself makes it the coolest. But I do agree with you on the newer stuff, I actually really want an Aventador myself and would take one over a Countach, I just wouldn't say it's cooler.

I lived in that desert for several years, and that sand is INCREDIBLY soft, deep, fine, easy to get stuck in. Less like sand and more like dust. The fact that you're able to mob in it with the Lambo really speaks to its capabilities. I used to commute on that stretch of I-10 (between Palm Springs and the Arizona state line), and had to use the trails that run alongside the freeway many times. Any accident in that area brings traffic to a dead stop, as there are only 2 lanes in each direction with only one alternate route through Box Canyon.
@@2011blueman I wouldn't call it "specially prepared". The run-off areas of Chuckwalla Valley Raceway are the same terrain as the surrounding desert. They may have smoothed it out a bit to get rid of the bigger ruts, but you can still see the Lambo bog down a bit in the deeper sections
I've only driven it a couple times but the whole drive from Phoenix to Socal on I-10 sucks with only 2 lanes. Constant backups, semis creating traffic when trying to pass each other, etc. That entire stretch probably needs to be improved.
@@JackAttak The semis will straight up kill you. The number of times I've been cut off by a semi doing 20mph less than me is probably in the hundreds. I've been nearly run off the road or crushed between a truck and a guardrail MULTIPLE times.
That off-road drone footage was epic! I love this trend of mildly off-road capable sports cars especially as our infrastructure continues to crumble. I hit a pothole in my Jag yesterday that just about stole my soul!

I love this new trend of "rallifying" supercars. It's a nice deviation from the typical "extreme track racing" package, that just strips out all the insulation and comfort.

I think of this as a modern turn-key Audi Quattro S1 Rally car. I don't think it will be able to take huge jumps on the stages of Finland (not enough suspension travel and ground clearance), but that is an exception.
More off road friendly cars! This video just continues your excellent video trend of better production values. I love Richard Antinucci as the rally co-driver giving road notes too! I still think about that Porsche Dakar video, it was so good.
Video came out awesome. I love how the Richard is very professional the first lap and when he realized Matt knew exactly what he was doing his driver instinct kicked in and he just wanted Matt to get fastest lap😂

If my dad were alive he would have bought one. We used to take our Porsche 928 S4 out to Nevada for speed runs, then not be shy inching along dirt roads to get to trailheads. We dreamt about something that could handle both surfaces equally well. This is it. Now I want one. For Dad, of course.
Super rad video on this thing, especially all the diff gopro angles of it throwing roost in the corners. Wish lambo chose a different style for their overfenders though

The quality of public roads make this and the Dakar great road cars. I hope it starts a trend of more compliant road cars. Our obsession with lap times and big wheels has come at expense of enjoyment on public roads. I'd love a sports car with more sidewall, suspension travel, body roll, etc that's not off-road focused.
This thing would fall apart real quick if you actually went Forza Horizon on this thing. It's built for dirt and gravel, not launching off of hills and dunes.
This thing would be perfect for the dirt road leading to my non existent lake house!

for me the Sesto Elemento is up there among coolest for me, but it's not street legal so not sure it counts or not.
