This is one of the best duets Mylene has brought out. She ended a 20-year relationship in 2022, so it's not surprising you can feel the emotion and the anguish in her voice. In fact, a true artist like herself knows how to convey emotions and feelings through her voice. Her latest release L"Emprise (songs like "L'Emprise, Que Je Devienne, Invisibles) is a musical narrative of that painful experience.

This song "Ghosts (How Can I Move On) was released on November 25, 2022 as the sixth single from their ninth album "Will Of The People".
For the French version (the third after the English version and then the Italian version with the female singer Elisa), Mylène Farmer was chosen to perform a verse in the French language, the version of which was released on the night of December 8 to 9, 2022.
This is the group's second collaboration with an artist and the first in French. The French single ranks first on the French singles charts the day after the release.
It is about breaking up or losing a loved one, especially during the Covid-199 pandemic.
For the release of this single, each of the singers shared their enthusiasm for this duet, Mylène evoking a "huge gift" and Matthew Bellamy delighted to share this title with an artist and an incredible voice, thank you Mylène".
Mylène's admiration for this British group isn't new: already in December 2012, in the 8 p.m. news on TF1 (first French channel), she claims to have gone to the group's concert and indicates that she finds this artist "absolutely extraordinary, breathtaking even".
During the same year in an interview for TV Magazine (a TV program), she declares "to be impressed by Muse. And by Matthew Bellamy, who is as fascinating as Freddie Mercury!".
Moreover, in this regard, Mylène was present on October 25 at the group's concert at the Salle Pleyel in Paris in the company of Benoît Di Sabatino, her ex-partner.

When you have some time to spare, I suggest you do a double reaction with the title of *Indochine - "Un Été Français,"* the clip (English captions available in the video's settings - *"la petite mort,"* literally *"the little death"* - is a French expression meaning "the culmination point of a sexual enjoyment"), and then the live version in Lyon, which has just been published on their YT channel.
That's actually one of their most popular titles in France.

Mylene is not saying the same than Mathew in this duet, she wrote her own French lyrics apart, as another vision of the couple cos she's the ghost, died or left.... their conclusion are however the same about their relation harmonizing their voices magically (Muse and Mylène are "professional friends" since more than 10 years, Mylene goes to each MUSE concert, and MUSE does always the same, they have a big respect for her artistry and used to be enthralled by Mylene's career and live performances)
Italian version with Elisa (who knows her ? ) has no interest..... (screaming as if MUSE had chosen Lara Fabien for the French duet.....!!! imagine the result !)
but obviously MUSE seems to need some audience from France & Italy at this time....;)

C'est un beau duo, bien chanté, la musique , le piano , signé MUSE , Mylène chante sans pousser sa belle voix, le problème , c'est que ça décolle pas, ça monte pas en émotion, c'est trait dommage , et pourtant j'adore MUSE et un peu Mylène Farmer ,surtout leurs premiers albums !
This version is good, but not to be disrespectful, I much prefer the duet take of this song with Elisa. I'd check that out.
I totally understand you. This was only the second time I've listened to the version with Mylene (who I'm not familiar with, same goes for Elisa), but Elisa's approach of singing this song is simply more emotional to me, which is why I prefer the version with Elisa.
Love the original song, not this version, they change the lyrics and is not good because it's not a heartbreak but a song for the COVID victim 🙏🫶
