Damm it jay !!!! I am a sucker for that reverse tanto , and I've been looking at civivi blades for Amin a few caught my eye but you sold me this one brother it will be my 1st civivi blade . I hope my action is as good as the knife you received. Thanks for the great videos as always man .
I just bought the copper version. It should arrive next week. I’ve carried cheap knives (440c) normally. The copper version has 154CM blade steel. It’ll be a good change.
Great review. I think they brought the plastics back too far from the liners though. Other makers guilty of this sometimes too, it exposes the metal corner or edge on the liners and you can notably feel it. In contrast, pick up a RAT 1 or 2 and look at one of those in comparison, it's perfection how they mate the plastic to the metal liner.
Damn I like the looks of it! Sadly I'm on a knife buying hiatus atm; the dentist wants around $3000 😢. There are not that many wharnies or sheepsfoot around, unfortunately. My favorites in my collection are the Viper Novis followed by the Tangram Santa Fe. I'd like to jump all over this one given that I had any money :). Thanks for showing Jay.

My favorite wharncliffe is the spyderco air, mine is so nice. Even though no clip, I had a great leather maker make me a slip. My most used wharncliffe is the spyderco q-ball, I messed mine up, and still love it!
Wow, that tics off a bunch of boxes for a good knife. D2, good ergos, deep carry, excellent price. I wish the tip was a bit thicker tho... I can see that breaking off if not very careful. Thanks!
Great review. Awesome looking knife. It looks like it could be the long lost brother of the Bestech Barracuda, which I own. Also a great knife. My next purchase will probably be the Ganzo FH71. Saw your 1st impression video on that 👍👍.
Both are great knives, but I think you made the right choice Harry. It slices so well, that once you start cutting stuff with it, you're not gonna want to stop.
Not to criticize, or to be picky, but I have to question your classifying the blade as being a "wharncliffe" style. It is not, by accepted design standards. I would, at best, call it a "reversed tanto" blade. That being said it's not, by "accepted design standards," really a reversed tanto either. ??? Looks like Cvivi has opened up a whole new class of blade design! BTW, great review.
Very nice knife. Like the blade shape. I know I am in the minority but I wish they still had liners with a pop of color. I liked it especially the gold wish they had done a red. 60 bucks may be worth it but since they are the budget WE line and the first 3 were a great price I am not a fan of their pricing. The knife performs well and that tip is wicked good.
i'm not totally against the colored liners, I just got tired of the blue ones specifically. Yeah, CIVIVI's prices have been slowly creeping up, making them seem less and less like budget knives. Thanks for watching Rick.

I know Jay, I really do need to get that done. I you're trying to decide between the Hooligan and Elementum, I would get the Elementum. Even though I love the Hooligan's blade shape and Micarta scales, the Elementum is a little better overall. Hope that helps Jay.

mine has detent play when closed and pivot slop when tightened. sucks cuz I like the knife.
