You may want to check the door jamb switch to see if anything is corroded that could cause this, or you could try to pull the headlight fuse, dome light fuse etc. while the chime is going off to try to narrow down what may be causing this. If your at a total loss, you may want to join a Saturn message board and post a thread about your issue to see if any fellow Saturn owners with your year make and model have experianced the same thing. You may need to remove the door panel and reach inside the door to see if you can pop the door open by hand. If you tug on the rod it should open for you, then you can fix the handle issue. Hope this helps you out.
There is a large bolt that is located under the rear deck lid. You will have to remove the head rests as well to gain enough access to the seat belt bolts.

Just had to fix this today, was looking for the same thing. This video certainly helped, but we went further and took the outer frame off as well and bought a replacement clip. Had to pry our way in, but got it done.
Do you have a video showing how to access the rear speakers under the rear deck panel too? Thank you for the no-nonsense tutorial on how to remove these panels. You just saved me a bunch of headache time.
I saved myself a lot of work and just slid the rear deck interior down the seat belt. It at least exposed the whole rear deck, so it's good enough for me

My door is stuck shut any ideas on how to remove it even though it wont open? I have a 2006 saturn ion and the drivers side door wont open from either inside or out. The locks work, the window rolls up and down just fine. The door handle has no tention.

I did this to clean something out, but the windows stopped working, They were working fine before but after i put the little inputs back in , none of the windows are working

You could use a putty knife too.
Once you remove the window crank handle, you should be able to apply most of this video to your vehicle.
