    Excellent video ! Just a question : Why did the thrust reign supreme in 19th century colonial wars ?

      I woudn't say it was quite that significant. No doubt there was an endless discussion on point vs edge throughout the period, and the important and value of the point was well regarded. It seems to be the two main pro arguments are the speed of point work, and lethality. Of course there is a lot more to those two topics, but that was the reason for the massive popularity in pointwork for military fencing.

    Is the low carte (sp?) thrust aiming for the groin?

      It's against the lower inside half, so it could be the groin, but most people aim for the stomach with it. It could also go to the thigh as well.
