The Kaguya clan and their abilities has always been one of my favorites. Just wish we had more info on them. Thank you so much for covering them.
Kurama Clan which was completely forgotten should have more series instead of BoruTrash. Kurenai, Yakumo and Anko should have series instead of Boruto and this should take place prior to and after the Fourth War.

Mora and genkai aren’t necessarily chakra combos. Only the truth seeker orb and advanced natures like ice and scorch. Dust might be reachable. Genkai just means bloodline. Shikotsumyaku is just a genetic ability to manipulate bones. No nature transformation needed.

no, 'kekkei' means 'bloodline, 'genkai' means 'limit'. therefore 'kekkei genaki' is 'limit of the bloodline'. now, why is it called that? i'm not sure, maybe because it's 'the ultimate ability of the bloodline' or something.
at any rate, in shippuden is is revealed that more powerful bloodline abilities are called either 'kekkei toa' or 'kekkei mora', and those ARE supposed to entail combining 3/more chakra natures, whereas 'kekkei genkai' are supposedly only a combination of 2 chakra natures; though this is somewhat plot induced stupidity seeing as the byakugan, sharingan, and other abilities which aren't related to combining chakra natures at all are also called 'kekkei genkai'

Kekkei mora and toa are nature releases that are found in certain villages. Like explosion release there are different characters of different clans with that nature release. Wait did you seriously forget that Zabuza had already left the Mist Village with Haku when Kimimaro ran into them? Also Kimimaro was fighting much like the other members of his clan being kept alive simply by his Kekkai Genkai & sheer instincts as everyone else died that night. "Vengeful Strike! The Bracken Dance!" was 1 of my favorite Episodes of Early Naruto so I remember it well & have probably seen it at least 9 Times.

I just had a head cannon that Hamura had a couple of children like his brother and each one was the ancestors of the Hyuuga clan and Kayuga clan. I mostly thought that since they dressed a little similarly and even looked kind of similarly, the look similarly part is only because Kimimaro has a similar build and appearance to Neji while the nameless members of the Kayuga clan looked like the nameless members of the Hyuuga clan.
It would make sense for the Kaguya clan to be Hamura's descendants to even things off. Hagoromo had the Senju, Uzimaki and Uchiha. Hamura can have the Kaguya, Hyuga and Otsutski of the moon. The gold and silver brothers were related to Hagoromo, so whatever clan they are from is effectively a fourth clan descended from Hagoromo.
What makes no sense, is Indra and Ashura has been emphasized, yet not one of Hamura's immediate children has ever been mentioned.

They even created a side branch that will sacrifice their lives to protect the main branch who hold the secrets of the byakugan. After witnessing what happened to the uchiha, uzumaki, and kaguya clans, special techniques should remain a secret from the rest of the world.
That doesn't negate the fact, the children of Hamura should have been also covered and mentioned. Heck, the entire Hyuga clan had no idea about the Otsutski clan at all.@@jbwavey9532

I find it weird that we talk about Anime as if it's real but when we talk about real history and stuff that actually occurred and the supernatural etc people act like it's crazy. "How could 1 guys survive on the moon when they were wiped out, it was a lot of people" Because the writer wanted it that way? Just a thought.

It's like the Senju and Uzumaki inherited the chakra of the gods, the Uchihas (and Hyugas?) inherited the visual prowess of the gods and the Kaguya clan inherited the hand to hand combat skills of the gods. "Their civilization was so focused on combat they neglected to make advancements as a society." Just like the Uchihas would have been if it weren't for the eventual connection between the Senju and the Uchiha. I see a lot of parallels between the mindsets of the Uchihas and the Kaguya clan.
A large amount of pride mixed with lackluster abilities usually doesn’t end well.

I wonder how many lesser clans branched off of the descendants of hamura and hagoromo besides the hyuga, Uchiha, senju, and uzumaki. There had to be plenty of people over that lengthy history who split from their clans and started families and clans of their own that we just don't know about. Maybe that contributed to the development of the many familial kekkei genkais as the original kekkei mōra broke down in dilution.

Does anyone realize that since Kabuto possesses the Shikotsumyaku he could very well recreate the All Killing Ash Bones. He has the Knowledge and capability to do it. Meaning Kabuto could become capable of soloing a 1 on 1 fight with an Otsutsuki, and win. I love Kabuto.

I think it's simply a clan who awakened the bone abilities of Kaguya. All shinobis are direct or indirect descendents of kaguya, so it's only natural different clans have access to different jutsus that Kaguya possesed. For example, Kaguya has the ability to use her hair to catch and attack enemies, something that we see Jiraya do as well earlier in the series
Dude, the white hair in humans... no human living when Kaguya arrived had that hair (I mean gray/white hair since birth) but many naruto characters have it. I think I could come from the otsutsukis.

I personally believe that this clan is an offshoot of the Hyuga side of kaguya's bloodline.
Mostly because we never actually see the sage of 6 paths using bone abilities.
However, the two clans also have a similar esthetic being somewhat regal looking. It also seems that the flower dances and gentle fist have a similar attack method in terms of physical movement.

@@flamingwolf8753 Uh no it wasn't because Gaara wasn't there the whole fight. Lee fought Kimimaro on his own for more than half the fight without Gaara. The point of the Sound Five part of Naruto was to give them extremely powerful opponents and make Orochimaru out to be a devious and clever enemy. Different plot points to this was that Sasuke was always going to escape, The sound 5 needed to be stronger than the Leaf Young Genin but they had to pull through assisting Naruto etc. Kimimaro had the Curse seal which boost you by default, then each level gives additional boost, Lee and kimimaro were going at it evenly when Lee was using Drunken Fist which is not really a boost just a Taijutsu technique he can only do while Drunk and Lee did not take off his weighs OR open Gates BUT Kimimaro used his Hack Curse seal and died of his sickness. So Lee used Drunken and Kimimaro couldn't beat him until it would wear off and Kimimaro HAD to use Curse seal when Gaara came.
So let's say Kimimaro wasn't sick and went full Curse, and Lee Took off his weights and went Drunken and Gaara arrived. You really think Kimimaro winning that? No. But the story was written to end how it ended. Lee's Drunken state wore off, Gaara came as back up and Kimimaro dies almost killing them. Lee was Handicapped.

My standing theory on the clan's origins is that they resulted from a bearer of a kama of Kaguya, inheriting her alien biology from a completely separate lineage from her sons
Given that Kaguya was so worried about maintaining her power and was actively preparing for a war with the Otsutsuki, it would only make sense for her to have implanted someone in the Elemental Nations with her kama seal. This wouldn't have helped her against Hagoromo and Hamura since they didn't actually kill her, meaning her soul wasn't available to reincarnate, but that would still have left at least one human who was partially or fully converted to Kaguya's genetic profile. Presumably, those genetics would also apply to that person's gametes (sperm or eggs), allowing them to hand down Otsutsuki characteristics to their offspring. This would explain both the Kaguya's possession of Dead Bone Pulse and the inhuman physiology that comes with it. This would also explain why Kimimaro was seemingly the only member of his clan with white hair. He had very strongly inherited the genes of his genetic ancestor, including the natural hair color of her race
As for why the Kaguya clan bears that name, there are some reasonably inferences that can be made. For one, Kaguya hated sharing her chakra, so she would have kept anyone applied with her kama mark on a tight leash at best. Assuming she was preparing for war at this point, creating her zetsu army, she would have been seen as a demon by humanity. However, this doesn't mean she wouldn't have had people who worshiped her despite her ruthless and inhuman actions, or even explicitly because of those actions. Essentially, I expect that she had a cult that both worshiped and feared her power, and that she gave one or more of them her kama seal. This would explain why they bear her name, why they stylize themselves to her appearance, and why they feared Kimimaro. He was probably the strongest inheritor of Kaguya's bloodline seen in centuries, and the clan recognized that based on their legends. He wasn't sealed because they feared his strength; he was sealed because they feared his appearance and what it represented. He was a demon where their mythos was concerned
anyone know what the dragons in naruto/boruto are about ? like there is Kirin, Nagato’s gedo statue awakening after Yahiko gets killed, sagemode kabuto’s blinding jutsu, in boruto when konohamaru summons the next monkey sage they face a dragon demon. just seems cool how theres so many and would be nice if they were connected in any way.
if I remember correctly, during Yagura's rule, Madara or Obito is hiding in the Mist village. (so yeah, big L to the Kaguya clan) if the Kaguya clan attacked during the 2nd Mizukage's rule, they are equally f*cked. the dude could practically solo the whole clan since they don't have any counter for ninjutsu and genjutsu. did I mention the dude also knows a infinite exploding water clone jutsu?
Either way they fucked up. They are literally a heavily nomadic group of shinobi, without 3 man squads or nothing like that.
Honestly, I think Kaguya was to the otsutsuki what a high functioning psychopath is to us humans. Look how willing Kinshiki was giving himself to Momoshiki as a fruit to help protect him, it was almost without question. Kaguya seemed to be the complete opposite. Not once have we seen the hunter parasite clan show affection. Only Kaguya (in her own unique way). Also think black Zetsu was unique to her a physical form of psychosis.
Yeah kaguya is going to be used again as an antihero no doubt. Black zetsu was most likely created by isshiki to prepare kaguya as a sacrife to harvest another fruit.

The thing is that Otsutsuki don't actually have to die to create a new tree as they can just use Karma to infect a human and be reborn from them.

The lore for the Hyuga and Kaguya clan always kinda upsets me because while its clear there should be a connection to Kaguya; it really isn't elaborated on fully like the Uchiha/Senju/Uzumaki. Having Hamura go to the moon and have his own branch of the Otsutsuki strains things when they easily chould've just been clans on Earth that eventually broke into the hyuga (eyes like Uchiha) and Kaguya (Body like Senju/Uzumaki). Even them being names Kaguya could've been a manipulation on Black Zetsu's part since they are more removed than the others

@@quentinjones6877I think Hamura's genetics is split the same as hagaromo's. Just like hagaromo's offspring was split sage eyes (Uchiha) and sage body (Senju and Uzumaki). Hamura's offspring was also split Sage eyes (Hyuga) and sage body (Moon otsusuki and Kaguya clan). This is probably why a moon otsusuki needed the eyes of a Hyuga in order to obtain the Tenseigan. Just like how madara a uchiha needed dna from hashirama senju who has a sage body in order to get the rinnegan.

It wasn't that rare. In the scene where the mist village was burning there bodies, you can see almost all of them had bones sticking out. Also during the fight you can see them using their bones also. Almost everyone in the clan had I'd, and the only reason why Kimimaru was locked up was because he was freakishly strong like itachi. They even say that's the reason...
I was under the exact same impression as nick, albeit its been a while since I saw og naruto. Maybe there is a better/worse clarification in manga vs. anime, assuming you are correct? Or possibly the anime throws shit in there filler style, same as Hagaromo's Sharingan/Mangekyou Sharingan lol

Pain/Nagato: Wanted to make everyone suffer the same so people would stop fighting. Essentially making peace by fear.

Madara: Wanted to have everybody living in a perfect illusion opposite to the crude reality of the ninja world.

Well, I don't see why a kaguya clam member couldn't learn the byakugo seal for healing. Sakura did it, so I'm sure they could. Then when they activate the seal and their bones they'd be scary
I think it's a cool coincidence that Kimimaro Kaguya is the last bad guy who closes out naruto, and Kaguya is the last bad guy who closes shippuden

Hear me out, what if Kaguya placed a karma seal on her husband Tenchi and he later went on to create a new clan in her honor if he was a percentage otsutsuki he would possess some of her abilities and dna 🤔 maybe after she was sealed in the moon he went on to create a new line, and named it the Kaguya clan. Actually it could be anyone, if she had back up karma seal subjects they could of also started their own clan having her DNA without being part of her lineage
If the anime version of events is considered canon to Kaguya's lineage, then Tenchi was turned into a white Zetsu via the god tree

Am more incline to belief that the Kaguya clan came from the Hamura lineage because Hagoromo had recessive genes thanks in part from the chakra fruit she consumed giving her the Rinnen sharingan in her forehead and Hamura had her Dominants ones the Byakugan and maybe the Bones manipulation🤔maybe like Hagoromo sons,Hamura had two kids one with the eyes and the other with the bones( dominant genes) before parting to the Moon.

Well black zetsu was born of kaguya so he probably carried some of her genes black zetsus goal was to create a vessel for kaguya so maybe this clan was one created by black zetsu however they went rouge.

NCHammer 23 I don't think it's impossible to figure that all other clans in the Naruto universe besides the Clans that have their Heritage proven in the data books that many more clans are most likely descendants of Hamra coming down off the moon at night getting random women pregnant for such a long time and their sons and daughters all gained fragments of powers from the otsutsuki through Hamura's DNA it's like the kaguya clan and the Hagoromo clan may not necessarily descend from Hagoromo at all and possibly are all descendants of Hamura. They inherited one of Kaguya's body abilities. They're Ashura descendants by process of elimination. Ashura inherited the "body of the sage" as well as his chakra. As far as where their mentality comes from, Zetsu says that he manipulated members of both Indra and Ashura's bloodlines throughout history. A clan that honors Kaguya sounds like Zetsu's work to me.
On a side note, Jiraiya has her hair manipulation and can absorb sage energy without body modifications. He wasn't put in the same squad as Hashirama's granddaughter by accident.

B. Hiruzen could use all elements
C. Konohamaru's female squadmate has mokuton and her last name isn't Senju
3. Random ninjas from other villages had Rikudo body abilities: Kin/Gin, Nagato, chosen jinchuuriki bloodlines, ninjas who could fuse chakra elements in their bodies, people who naturally absorbed sage energy like the Juubi (Juugo), and various Orochimaru experiment subjects (Kimimaru).
Orochimaru and Kabuto were trying to combine the eyes of the sage with the body of the sage and sage mode. Why do you think Oro wanted Kimimaru's body? To recreate Hamura's power? He wanted Kimimaru's body at the same time as he wanted Itachi's eyes. Danzo and Yamato were prototypes for his future Rikudo body.

2. The Senju clan disappearing without Konoha caring
3. A "random" child being chosen as the Kyuubi jinchuuriki
4. A "no talent" child (Jiraiya) being placed in Hiruzen's squad
5. Haku's clan being hunted down while Obito was secretly controlling the Bloody Mist
There's no direct confirmation yet but, all the circumstantial evidence points in the opposite direction of your conclusion. Your conclusion being correct would only create more plotholes in a manga that already has too many plotholes.
