Great video, Dave! My sister got her Bayon Premium 2 weeks ago and she is beyond delighted with it! The ride and seat design is kind to her coccyx; She wasn’t expecting to feel so comfortable in this price bracket. Great for town driving, running errands, etc. Very pleased with what Hyundai has to offer too (5 year warranty, 3 year service plan etc). The styling is quite eye catching and pretty cute! A very smooth drive, economic, quiet. Suits her needs perfectly.
I have one green Bayon waiting for me on order. Mine is the auto mild hybrid version. I had a very short test drive and it was pretty nice. Your review helped me understand I chose the right car. Can't wait to drive it.
@@greenlover4522 The car actually waiting for me for over a month. I had some issues with selling the car I had when i ordered the Bayon (long and crazy story). When I finally able to finalize the order and pay, it took about a week until I got the keys. I have it now for about 4 months and it is wonderful. This the 3rd Hyundai I drive and as always, as soon as you're behind the wheel you feel at home and know everything is. Fuel consumption is pretty good (the best I got so far is 14.5 Km/litter. Sport mode is very nice. But in every driving mode the car feels nimble and quick.
Thank you for the review. I have an Ultimate on order. I am unfortunately going from a Hyundai Ioniq as I have no home charger and the infrastructure for changing is not there yet. So pleased you were so positive about the Bayon.
Thank you for your comment Sean. I am glad you enjoyed the review. I was surprised by the Bayon and it is a cute and quirky little crossover. Hopefully you will enjoy yours.
I actually think it’s a good looking car. Why not drive something different. The alternatives are “Russian Doll” offerings from European manufacturers who, as has become obvious, are dropping their quality and imagination in favour of saving a few pence. Another great review, Dave.
Good evening, can I please ask you a question? We just bought a secondhand Ultimate and would like to know 1 thing. Is there a “safety feature” on the that shouts at you when you drive faster than the speed limit? I know the Kona ultimate got that feature.
my bayon premium is due to arrive in June, I went for the 120HP automatic and I am really looking forward to it I love my current car but compared to the bayon it is a little thirsty . Great video very informative and covered most of the questions I had roll on June
The lane departure is annoying and you have to turn it off every time you start the car but I do love the car "sailing" option which I have never had before also the DAB radio is a bit hit and miss and the boot won't fit a wheelchair in which as a mobility customer is a bit surprising but on the whole the Bayon is exceptionally well equipped
Have had my ultimate with the 120 engine in manual for two weeks now. I am achieving 43 average so far. Mainly a mixture of eco and comfort modes. The sport mode makes quite a difference in performance

Going to test drive at the weekend.looks a nice car.just want something good on fuel and cheap to insure. Currently drive a vw golf.not to bad on fuel.but costing me a fortune to insure.and for what I use the car for going to work and back and doing weekly shop the bayon will be just fine.if the test drive goes well and I get some good equity after selling and paying the balance off on my golf and get a good monthly PCP deal Going to opt for the premium trim.just can't decide what colour.mangrove green or dragon red.
a great car to customize up multi changer lights in the bottom of the doors coloured ally wheels lower it a little ive seen one all black with red front griill, and red crhromed door handles lots could do to it to look just yours
Had the Premium 120 bhp for 1 month . Never left eco mode yet . The best i have reached mpg is 35 even on a motorway journey . Impresed with the car but not the MPG. Not sure if drive mode will makes a diffrence . was told by hyundai it takes a 1000 mile for the car to settle in and mpg will improve . typical sales pitch i guess .
35mpg is terrible for a mild hybrid in eco . Spec varies on model and engine but was told over 45mpg was average with high 50's possible. I'd have it checked out.
@@AutoBears If you remember to put the key in it. It can't be in a bag when you are locking the car and a thief is within range to copy the code. I'm an ex police officer and seen hundreds pinched, including from car parks. I've ordered the 120auto Premium, so there is no keyless ignition.
These things are junk. They look OK, but the materials are so cheap. Nasty, nasty brittle plastic, paper thin seat fabric and typical Hyundai cheap plastic switches. And the three cylinder engine sounds like a lawnmower, the noise is just horrible, it genuinely sounds like a constant miss fire.

A work colleague bought one at the back end of last year and he loves it!
I'm glad to hear that Ross. I was impressed by it.
I’ve just ordered the bayon premium petrol automatic, white car with the black roof so brilliant seeing your opinion on it. Thank you.

I bought a premium one last november, I really like it. It can be very frugal and comfortable, it is not perfect but is just a nice simple car.
Have got one on order was very pleased with the test drive have a premium auto on order
Best review lve seen for this car. I've ordered an ultimate & l cant wait.
Well done Dave👍

What about the so-called ‘digital clutch’ with the imt system ? Did you find it difficult to engage the gears smoothly?
Nice car 🚘

I get 58MPG out of my 2016 1.4 i20, maybe it's your driving style.

Cant check tire pressure on the bayon! Anyone know where to see the tire pressures?
nice car
Yes it is Robbie. I did like it.
I think I like it. Would I be happy with an auto gear box? And I would go for the ultimate specs?
Thank you so much for your comment. I’m sure you will be happy with both Ultimate spec and the auto gearbox.
Ultimate has keyless entry and start. Easy pinched. I've ordered a 120 auto premium.

It has 4 cylinders in our market
