Hi there anyone who wants to answer. Should I be buying stocks in cad or usd? I've heard of withholding taxes etc but I dont exactly think Canada's dollar is likely to hold its value with the way things are going. What do you guys think?
I've been mainly in USD for the last few years, my knowledge of forex or even forex trading is pretty weak but I felt the CAD would tank a while ago & got lucky/timed it well. It's hard to decide which currency to keep all your $ in, but I've been buying properties in the US so I just got lucky since I had a direct need for it.
Hey buddy! Don't be seduced by large dividends. Concentrate on total return. There is no sense in collecting large dividends if your overall investment is going down however I’d say SPYI, JEPQ, QQI and IWMI. But do your research. Personally I put down 250k on few ETFs, still diversifying. Earning season is around the corner, It was this time last year I made a huge break through with 200k. Handed it to a firm here in Texas, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. IWM will probably crush it this quarter
My neighbor, who has done very well in life, was over for a beer this past summer, and told me his investing style which I had never thought of, but makes perfect sense. Most of his portfolio was in US stocks, as they are the economic engine, and he buys the stock of the dozen or so of what the wealthiest Americans own. He figures, they have the golden touch, the political connections and the resources to expand at will, and keep competitors at bay. This would include Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Page, Buffett, Walton, etc.
Hard to argue against that, its why I focus on US stocks, I dabble in random Air Canada covered calls here n there, but I've been much out of Canada since 2022.
I know you're a CPA and all but you have far more room to play with in your TFSA than you would ever have in your RRSP, I hold the higher Dividend earners in my rsp and the lower Dividend earners in my tfsa. You can't always let the tax tail wag the dog
Great transmission, as always. I appreciate the no-nonsense approach you take to the news and the markets. A lot has changed and that's about it ,but the truth is that I don't even care much about the bull or bear market anymore because OX trade covered me while I'm doing comfortable.20k 30k every week and I'm still counting thanks to her ❤
OX trade crypto knowledge is like a secret recipe for successWow!! I'm a bit perplexed seeing ox trade been mentioned here also Didn't know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful,
I remain eternally grateful to OX trade for her efforts that got me to this point , finally paid off my mortgage and all my debts, what more could I've asked for. She changed my life for good

Please this firm, can I look them up, thanks
Yes, June Renae Matthysse. Her performance is consistently impressive, and she’s a real name to know in the industry. Check her out
SPY, QQQ, IWM, and currently TLT. I only have 4. June’s firm grows a good portion of my diversification, I live in Connecticut
Great video! I just started buying PEP.
Good choice!

Can you explain, do you mean more contribution room in your tfsa vs rrsp?
