Absolutely addictive Kit Kat muddy buddies AKA puppy chow | extra chocolatey recipe in description

Kit Kat Muddy Buddies Recipe:
10 Kit Kats, chopped
10 Kit Kats, cubed
9 cups Rice Chex
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Melt the chocolate, butter, and peanut butter in a double boiler (or the microwave, but I will say it’s easier to work with chocolate that has been fully melted in a double boiler - there is no guess work on ‘how many more seconds before I burn it’). Remove from the heat.
Add the chopped Kit Kats to the melted chocolate and mix well. Pour the melted chocolate over the Chex and mix until the Chex is fully covered in chocolate.
Shake it all together with the powdered sugar until it’s relatively well-distributed. Add the remaining cubed Kit Kats and shake again. If you see too many large clusters, you can break them apart, add a bit more powdered sugar, and shake again.
You can make this ahead and keep in the freezer.
The addition of the Kit Kats results in lots more of those insanely chocolatey clusters everyone wants. This is the perfect game day - or any day - snack. I promise you this will be the one everyone keeps reaching back for.
