From my friend who plays RP Luffy a lot he says he likes Jean Bart because it’s a body to swing with in the Enel match up where Lead Performer is an event. Also it’s good because you wanna go first with the deck since it means that you’ll only have to ramp once to get to your 9 don turn early to play Newgates.
Yeah I definitely understand the thought process, but I guess I just like going second on this deck more so I kind of built it to do so. Taking Saka off curve and ramping on 4 DON just feels too good for me to make that change. Jean Bart is great but just not for me I guess.
Personally speaking Jean Bart is good as its another body you can run. I also am trying out King as a 2 of. May rid him. Also also, as replacements, I run 1-2 9 drop kaido for 1 WB and 1 10c Luffy.
I run Thunder Bagua instead of the lead performer. You can use it T2 if you wiff on zorojuro and it's insane after 10c luffy as you get to 9 don 1 turn earlier to play WB and it serves as extra protection. Having 4 don open to double RadBeam + Bagua is hard to surpass. I would also cut the 3rd 5c luffy for a Zorojuro or Jet Gatling for extra counters. Luffy isn't played every game so I'd much rather have all the counters I can fit.
What are your thoughts on running 4 drop uta (instead of queen) to rest one of their characters on block. Helps out with protection and prevent an attack
Haven’t played this deck since OP05, but nowadays I don’t think I’d play her. Might have been decent back in 05, but all the good decks now will be able to remove her before she can even block.
Would you recommend this Deck as a new player? Have had the three captains deck since release but have played it once. Looking to get into the game properly and like the look of the deck. Is it a good leader or is it a bit more rogue like?
As a new player the best deck you can play is always the deck that you’re most interested in playing. This deck is definitely a little bit rogue when compared to the best meta decks, but it’s still fun and would be a great start if you’re interested in playing!
Thoughts on running at least 1 of the 10 cost rush luffy from ST10? I think hes super useful against decks that go blocker heavy like Saka, Purple Luffy, and Uta if she becomes popular
I tried it last set and didn’t love it as it left me vulnerable on the next turn with no DON active if I couldn’t end that game. But I don’t think the card is necessarily bad, it just seems a bit too situationally good for me to run as this deck is already pretty tight for me.

Would you be able to also post the deckles in the descriptions as well, in case people (like me) wanna test it out on the sim.
Can definitely do that in the future if it’s something people want!

Would the ST-10 jinbe blocker or ST-01 chopper blocker or anything else work as a replacement for queen as you said he is expensive

@@AwakenedTCG ah yeah, that makes sense. I run 7 cost kid in my deck too so i use him to get a don back, feels a bit better.
Where do you get your mat from?
