He needed to stay at distance for his reach advantage to tell, but this seemed to keep him always moving backwards, without enough side-to-side. I wonder how the fight goes in a bigger ring. I've seen fights where somebody with great technique has caught the guy coming in with counterpunches, and Haggerty seems to get plenty of power, but Rodtang just wades through them and punches with better leverage, coming forward.
Anyway, it's such a treat watching Rodtang, because even against this bigger man, he just looks a lot stronger. Coming forward or toe to toe, he looked stronger than the bigger man.

      What? Lol
Let's not forget the UFC branding.
They literally rigged matches against Muay thai fighters when they first started. They didn't do that because it doesn't work in the octagon. They did it because it does work and it would impede their bjj marketing campaign.
I was there. The first Thai fighter mauled the opponent and they then brought in a Thai who was weighed about 70 pounds less than the opponent. Guess which on got the air time? You mma ufc fan boys are hilarious. A superior style doesn't need to rig matches. Ever. Like ever.
Muay thai wouldn't work in ufc?
      Lmao yeah cool story bro

@@LeviathanLee grappling is superior it has been shown time and time again. muay thai is good for stand up, but if a good greco roman wrestler or sambo/pancration practitioner gets control it is over. thai fighters were not even good at boxing before the west taught them but they have been always superior with leg strikes.
