- Amy Marcy Cheney Beach (September 5, 1867 - December 27, 1944) was an American composer and pianist. She was the first successful American female composer of large-scale art music. She was one of the first American composers to succeed without the benefit of European training, and one of the most respected and acclaimed American composers of her era. As a pianist, she was acclaimed for concerts she gave featuring her own music in the United States and in Germany. This piece was composed in 1903. (Wikipedia)
I missed the "Amy Beach Day" by about a month :(
And i will probably record the "Gavotte Fantastique" (of the same opus), which is more challenging, sometimes soon.
A most beautiful piece, lovingly played. Well done sir.
Thank you so much 😊😊
Agreed. A beautiful piece...
@@paulfievet9301 thank you too.
Amazing piece< this, this is the kind of music that Classical Music needs. Pure human sincerity, no academicism, sagely phrases and interesting lines.
Tactful, balanced, sensitive playing. And lovely use of the una corda: Just a hint of the pearly sound from that pedal transports me.
Thank you ❤
Thanks for uploading!
Beautiful!
So touchy 🥰
Merci madame Rochechouart 😁
Such a beauty
Sounds wonderful!
It looks a bit technically difficult (might be because I suck at rhythm reading) was it hard to learn?
I have learnt half of the piece now...it was technical and difficult...but if you try, its possible...but hard work is required so much
🎼🎹❤️💐
Female composers are underrated.
I concur
There’s not too many - I can only think of Bonis, Schuman, and Boulanger.
It is nice video would u plz share teh pianist name plz
Hi, thank you ! I’m playing here :)
Part Hungarian, American, and a sprinkle of Scottish.
Wow, so lento that I could “listen” to the legend pass by so fast and not understand it.
pretty
出だしが「五木の子守唄」
Much admire Amy Beach but the piece is a little clumsy and almost morphs into a Habeneara!
Mandane piece of a primitive composer
