I have been watching your content for a few years and you have great ideas and great craftsmanship to make these parts look and function so great. So thank you for your work and love from NYC.
I watch the two part video. You put soo much effort and skill into that project. I personally would recommend that you to try some open back headphones with angled drivers (Sennheiser HD500 series for example HD599 or Audio-Technica ATH-AD500-2000) just for a comparison. I never had any problems to recognize direction of sound source in 3D space using that type of stereo headphones.
Great build it's difficult to get the full experience of the headphones through a video I think you need to try them yourself to get the real understanding on how great they work... keep up those great builds and ideas!
@@RulofMaker I love to watch your videos and the amount creativity you have is amazing my favourite is the cement mixer you made to a fireplace for the house is great and the CNC machine damn I would love to have something like that myself I will try and make a mostly 3D printed one on my Ender 3... I love music and speakers and would love to create some surround headphones like that for a better music experience... keep up the great work and have a nice day :D
Why would this work tho? You only have 2 ears and they locate sound by moving your head around. Since you can't move the source of the sound independantly to your head, due to the headphones being attached to your head, so using more than 2 sound sources is pointless. It's like giving 3d glasses to a person with only 1 functional eye - it's not going to suddenly let them see in 3d.
@@spadebeats137 sorry i meant normal headphones without 7.1, but there actually exists 3.1 it has 3 channels front , left, right and the 1 represents subwoofer.
It would also be cool to have 3d models for a 3d printer for the part of the headphones that holds the speakers, because I think it would be much easier to manufacture like that, than it is from wood - not everybody has a wood CNC machine. If anyone copies these designs at all, I personally only watch the videos for enjoyment to see how ingenious designs can be made.
@@RulofMaker keep the great videos coming. I'm one of your biggest fans and have been subscribed to your videos from the start and enjoy each and every one of them. Good luck
There are many flaws to this project and its impossible to have surround effect like this. We people understand from where a sound came because of the difference in time its soundwave will reach each ear. This phase difference of the soundwave our brain translates to how we experience where it came from. So.. either we physically send those 7 suround signals to speakers around us ,unlike you did in this video where u mixed them all in the 2 speakers of your headphones (doesnt matter how many speakers u have on each ear, it can be coaxial 5-way or howmany-way u wish, its still 2 speakers left/right). Or we can have somewhat surround experience with 2 speakers(2 signals L/R) when the media played is mixed properly for that effect. Last when so many speakers are used so close without crossover to split the bandwave there are so many issues i could write for hours. So even if those headphones are used as stereo i can only imagine how bad they will perform, except if u mute 4/5 speakers and keep the ones that sound the best.
Savage. But yeah, I was thinking the same lol came looking for this comment. I still think it's cool he put all that effort into it, and I think this guy could actually get it right if he digs into it deep enough. All that said though... If he's happy with the headphones, well... Then they're good for him, I guess
Wouldn’t it be more effective at telling where someone is it you made like a small box with a screen in the front and the speakers place in front sides and back for true directional sound mount to to a good gaming chair where is slides down over you head with a curtain to block out all light .

awesome work! You think they compare to other 7.1 surround headphones? I bet pc cable management ties will tidy up the spaghetti coming out of them!
DUDE YOU'RE AWESOME!
hahaha thats a lot of cables you got. You're crazy. love it!

You obviously haven't done any research. We can hear sounds behind, above, in front and below us because of the shape of our ears. Look it up bruv
Agreed 3.1 sound system is the way to go. Here is a deeper explanation th-cam.com/video/EszSnWldA0I/w-d-xo.html
@@tomusklepipieta1009 3.1? There is nothing like that and if there was it would be pointles, in both headphones and speakers

Correct it won't work. linus tech tips has a video debunking this type of headphones th-cam.com/video/-_JpAyWMeiQ/w-d-xo.html
How about for listening to music was the sound quality good?
Love this i want to make my own headset now!!!... cheers from Argentina. I'm a half Italian!!

I'm not disagreeing with you but not everyone has a 3d printer either
i know! i pus 3d model file in the info so you can dounload them!
Try lowering your mouse sensitivity, you'll be able to do fine aim adjustments much more easily

Why do the pre-amps for the "S," and "SB" channels look different that the rest?
no reason... i was just testing different preramps..
I really like your videos.
Hi Rulof, Can you please show us how to make a high ampere transformer or a power supply for the HHO project.
MAAAAAAMAAAAA MIIIIIAAAAA MARCELO!!!
Why did you use trrs 3.5mm jacks but only 2 cables on each one?
(idk if fortnite suports 7.1, and idk if it does suport 7.1 on nintendo switch)
beacause i have 10 jaks coming fron the headphones
