TH-cam needs more of this content, it’s cool to watch great golfers shoot great scores, but most of us are hacks and the journey to break 100 or 90 is more relatable. Love the focus on course management, I got my game from shooting 118 to breaking 100 without actually improving at golf, but just making better and more realistic decisions about my shots (we all need that buddy telling us to put that 3 wood back in the bag, because we don’t have that hooking 230 carry shot around trees and over a creek😂).

Last fall I shot 72 on my first 9 holes in 18 years. I had never been any good. I recently shot 42 and am now a solid bogey golfer with lots of room for improvement. Love your content and style!

You’re just a guy out there having fun. I try to remind myself often. More I can focus on the great shots the less I care about the tough stuff. Avoid the blow up holes. Don’t be the hero. Lag putts are good putts. You’ll get there Andy!

The tale of two 9’s ! Good shit. I can’t tell you how many time I still blow one 9 up and the other I’ll be like 1-2 over. It’s always the worst when it’s the front you do great on. Then you end up contemplating selling all of your golf shit on the back and wondering why you spent so much money just to play fetch with yourself and throw new expensive balls into the woods!

yep!! choking down allows for better clubface feel and control. also andrew (and myself) isn’t the tallest guy in the world so he doesn’t quite feel comfortable gripping at the end of the club

the first time i came close to breaking 90 at my home club, i needed to double-bogey or better each of the last two holes. i proceeded to shoot a 10 on 17 (par 5) and a 7 on 18 (par 4) for a 93. my only holes worse than double-bogey all day. forget throwing my clubs, i wanted to throw myself into the lake.

Choking down allows for better face control. Will lose distance, but easier to control the club head.
