I love it!! I love your walks and you showing the residential areas and all kinds of random stuff like egg shells and jellyfish on the beach as well as the short house sandwiched between tall buildings 😂. Oh let’s not forget the dogs who didn’t quite like you and the cat who ignored you 🤣🤣🤣. Although you didn’t get to go to your planned destination this place was great too. The beach is amazing- no crowds!!! I can’t imagine walking so far though 🥵. Thanks for showing the food! They always look so yummy. I missed the earlier video before this one, so am going to watch that next!
HAHAHA Lim, I’m so glad someone else find the residential areas interesting! I think it’s interesting to see ‘normal’ places as well as the tourist hotspots so that’s why I put it in the video 😂 If I see something funny, usually I put it in the video just for fun! I walked A LOT this day 😅 thank you for watching and thank you so much for your support! 🤩
We have cruised all over Europe and the Middle East. We always use tours if the port is over an hour away. I use mainly private tours and have never has problems getting around or back.
Hi Ben I have done the same cruise, but in reverse didn't you receive the $50 off each port on excursions. I know the excurions can be high price on some ports but check them out. Enjoy your trip is great......
were there places at the buffet to put your dishes? i saw a video saying that people trying to be nice and picking up after themselves can get crew in big trouble because management will see it and think that the crew are neglecting their duties forcing passengers to pick up the slack....that's why i dump all my food on the floor 😀
I accepted that the first two ports were a decompressing experiences and I spent it all of the time on the ship. I'd also been to Amsterdam before. I did survive the crazy electric bikes in Amsterdam.
My first trip to Europe was in the 70s to Paris. We had to fly from Toronto to Brussels, Belgium because we couldn't land in Paris because of strikes. Seems like not much has changed.
I am currently on this itinerary on the NCL Prima. Couldn't agree more with you. Zeebrugee is a dump. I took the train to Bruges and that was worth the time. Arriving in Geiranger tomorrow.
Aloha Ben! Thanks for all of your great videos. Aside from your crazy adventure on this video…you are hilarious! I always wanted to do a cruise and being a single person I always thought it wouldn’t be fun. But you always make everything so positive. I guess now I just have to be able to afford to go on one. Any thoughts? Mahalo Nui Loa!!!!
I'm a recently moved to Ohio resident - I didn't know the state flag isn't a rectangle! I love how you jump on those transatlantics! Such a good value but doesn't it rot your socks to have to pay single supplements?
I didn’t know the Ohio flag wasn’t a rectangle 😂 I learn a lot from trivia! I didn’t pay a single supplement 😊😊😊 find out soon how much I paid! Thank you for watching!
Bruges is a very pretty town. Maybe the time in Bruges, even if only 1 hour or two, would have been better than saying the port was a disaster. BTW - was it some kind of holiday?
I don’t agree, Anda. My day didn’t go to plan but I had zero stress. Why rush to Bruges and spend an hour there then rush back to the ship? I can go to Bruges anytime I want, I’m not going to risk it when there’s a ship waiting for me 😁 maybe next time!
Some ports are like that .... one of the worst ones was Kiel, Germany. Nothing to do there, the Hop-on-Hop-off bus was ridiculously mundane. And, I almost never get off the ship at Nassau anymore. As far as the ship, I didn't enjoy the Prima that much because I believe it's more of a warm-weather ship. The inside areas aren't sufficient for the number of passengers and on a transatlantic cruise we were all crowded inside due to the weather. I DID love the Indulge Food Hall though ... it was fab!!! I'm not really a buffet fan, but this was a totally new experience.
It’s annoying when a port is advertised as a city that is very far away 😂 the port in ‘Rome’ is extremely far away from the city! Sherry Ann, it’s funny you mention Nassau because I talk about people continuously going there in an upcoming video 😂 so stick around! I understand what you mean about the Prima being a hot weather ship but I didn’t spend any time on the pool deck and I never felt like the ship was too crowded or didn’t have enough space for everyone! Indulge Food Hall was great! A great alternative to the buffet. Thank you for watching 😁
it seems pretty peaceful...it's nice that it can function without being crammed to the gills with people...the businesses/economy must be very efficient...i'd worry that without tons of foot traffic everything would go bankrupt
I'm watching all your videos out of order but it doesn't matter. I was giggling over the comment that they don't know what language they're talking in Belgium...so damn funny. For sure set up a group cruise... I'm in Canada but I'd try to make it... I think it would be totally unpredictable but fun...would certainly see things wouldn't see on regular excursions...the blind leading the blind🤣🤣🤣🥰🇨🇦
@@ychaps HAHA I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos, Yvonne 😁 this cruise was so fun! Sometimes things don’t go to plan but that’s okay 😂 group cruise would be so fun! Wow, thank you so much for becoming a channel member, Yvonne! I appreciate your support so much! 🤩🌹
Hi Ben! I’ve missed you! I’m so glad that I’m finally getting to catch up with your videos! You’re too funny with the mishaps you keep having. Funny for you, lol. I would have been sitting on the side of the road crying😂hey, I do what I do best, you know? God Bless you for keeping a cool head and thinking logically! I can’t wait to watch more excursions❤
Thanks for catching up, Madeline! Everyday is an adventure 😁 Sometimes it doesn't go to plan but it's always fun! Life always goes on so relax and enjoy it 😇 More adventures coming soon!
Haha … went to the middle of nowhere in Alaska and found a Chinese restaurant, too. Chinese people go anywhere in search of better fortune for their families.
Belgium has 2 languages, French and Flemish. The port is pronounced Zee bru geh, shame you missed out on Bruges, it is lovely. You had a poor experience in Belgium sadly
Sorry Ben, but I kind of like it when things don't go smoothly. I love all your videos, but there is an extra layer of entertainment when you have to figure things out or roll with the punches. 😁 Your poor nose...I hope it didn't hurt too much! I'm American and didn't know that about the Ohio flag. Hopefully, that is a question next time I play trivia. I've always wanted to go to Belgium. I had a mental picture of it that doesn't match what I saw in this video. I know this is one small area, but if I'm on a cruise, this is what I'll see, so I think I'll visit Belgium a different way. Thank you for another great video!
HAHAHA As long as everything turns out okay in the end, I'm fine with a few bumps in the road! Everyday is an adventure anyway 😁 Thank you for watching early, Matthew!
I was in that Port on the Getaway on a Sat I think it was last month. There was literally no one around. I thought why did the ship stop here. It turned out to be a fun adventure! I had my doubts at first. You make all your videos interesting and I thank you for that.
Everyday with a good attitude is an adventure, Fredwina 😁 (I had my doubts at first too 😂) thanks for tagging along!
Sorry you missed Brugge. I took an excursion from an NCL cruise and absolutely loved it. It’s one of my favorite cities.
That’s great, Mary Lee!
You have such a great attitude even when things go wrong.
What the alternative, Pamela? 😁 get mad?? That doesn’t help anything! Always smile and move on 😊 thank you for watching!

Thank you! I didn’t receive any credit or discount in excursions 😁
Sorry to hear that you didn't I was in the solo cabin. You will enjoy each new day..
Is there a reason you don’t suggest cruise excursions? Also good for solo travelers.
Sometimes you pay a high premium to do something you can do yourself! I do recommend them but always do research first.

There was always somewhere to sit in the buffet 😊 I always try and help the crew when I can, it’s easy to stack plates and not leave a mess!

Thanks for watching, Elden! Solo cruising is a lot of fun, you do whatever you want. There's plenty of cruises from Hawaii :) Good luck!
I think the 'eggs' are cuttlefish. We would collect from the beach for our birds to sharpen their beaks when l was young.
Very interesting! Thanks, Karen :)
I remember seeing cuttlefish on the menu several times ... it was good.

The price wasn't the problem, James. I was more focused on the time. Not that insane to not rush if you ask me!
