How's the clone 372 working out in the long run? I just bought a couple of these clone saws a couple months ago. Just put together a 372xp from a parts kit but not much use yet. The Holzfforma G660 power head I bought broke the G tang off the piston pin retaining clip on about my 8th tank of gas cutting firewood, trashing the top end. Hutzl claimed a 1 year warranty when I bought it but instead only offered me a new cylinder kit to repair it myself. Only a $23 kit on their website. Meanwhile I spent a good 8 hours total time tearing it down and putting it back together myself. Pretty shody customer service if you ask me. I just got it back together but haven't tried it yet other than first start. It's the midst of winter here in the northeast US so weather sucks right now. I been reading and seeing in peoples clone saw video's that the G part of the clip breaking off is a common problem on the saws with G style clips instead of the C clip. If your building one cut off the G tang upon assembly.
Thank you for this video! The thing sounds exactly like a husky. Not sure if you have figured this out yet but is it possible to use OEM parts on this knock off saw? Looks like it cuts pretty good. Not bad for $.
Oh yea its exactly the same you could put OEM parts on it, however its been perfect for me so far. Its honestly got more power than my 372s it feels like because the muffler design im assuming. For the price it makes me question even buying a 372 again. not that they will be for sale long with the release of the 572xp. The only thing I had with this saw is the the throttle cable was sticking a bit but I oiled it works like a charm now also the chains rakers don't cant out like Oregon or stihl chain so it jumps more on cuts but cuts faster than other chains. I cracked the clutch cover when putting it together but the crack isn't even visible and the cover still works so I dont care for the price. And I have the Chinese spark plug that it came with in it.
Just got one a few weeks ago and love it so far. How's yours holding up? I fine tuned mine and it runs seemingly just as good as the 372xp I've run in the past.
Mine held up perfect till I made a bad cut in our bucket truck and the saw took a fall ran just as good as a 372 like u said with a carb tune was a great saw now it will be a parts saw for 372s

100% compatible I run an oem carb on mine 24' tsumara bar
