I am TRYING so hard to get my teenager to understand she can’t use several different skincare products of different brands because she’ll never pinpoint exactly what is making her breakout. It’s infuriating to have to raise a teenager in this age of tiktok overconsumption. They think they need everything they see. And I don’t have a lot of money to supply these things.

As a disabled person living on less than $13k a year, I am just flabbergasted by the amount of consumption. I feel guilty buying a $15 bottle of witch hazel toner from Wal-Mart--I can't IMAGINE having enough money to just throw away on shit.
Jeez they’re really doing the disabled so wrong like it’s possible to live comfortably on that much a year is ridiculous I hope your doing well and are able to get by without to much trouble !
@angelofdusk13 oh my god. I don't know where you live but that must be so hard....where I live a one bedroom is 1700 and a room for rent is $1000 they should give you more money
I’m in the exact same boat. With SSD I get $13,000. The internal debates I have when buying anything over $1 is insane. I can’t imagine wasting money on all this expensive and unnecessary stuff. Like how often do you need to replace your purse hairbrush that you have 3 more on standby. What are you doing with them to cause that?
@Ireland41110 the fingernail tapping and packaging squishing aren't ASMR. Those are specifically to annoy viewers and get engagement by way of people commenting about how annoying the tapping is.
what bugs me the most about overconsumption is A- the HUGE amount of single-use plastics and B- taking products out of perfectly good boxes or tubes and putting them into a different container!! extremely un-necessary.
I’m not an influencer but I’ve got so many water bottles that had been given to me by either my job or at events that I’ve attended, it’s nuts. Seeing these restocking videos grinds my gears because it only promotes overconsumption.
I think my biggest petty pet peeve with restock influencers is that they ALL seem to wear the exact same oversized sweatshirt with the longass sleeves. It just makes me shiver, imagining how the filthy cuffs would be, getting into absolutely everything😭 Also, back in the late 2010s I had a brief period as a skincare account on Insta, & I had a whole RACK of different sheet masks. Even using them daily, sometimes twice a day, the vast majority expired before I got to them. Same with other skincare products. It is SO hard to go through it in time, especially if you’re trying new products constantly. Most of it will never be used more than a handful of times.
Thank youuu I hate it so much too ! And these videos all look the same 50 shades pf beige or pink, the sleeves, the same products, camera angles, tap tap on the objects… It took me a while to realize the videos I was seen were from multiple people
100% agree !!! Same hands, same manicure, same nails, same house, same background, same sweatshirt, same products - EVERYTHING is the SAME !!! I’m soooo over it and now I just scroll when I see this stuff and it’s getting sooooo BORING !!!
That Stanley customization silliness is giving purse dog energy to me, like early 00s Paris Hilton vibes. Put a little dress and a rhinestone collar on that thing and the illusion is complete
My "favourite" overconsumption vid (aka the one that broke my brain aka the one that made me barf) was "pack my Stanley for a walk" with all sorts of clip on additives. It was weird and did NOT look walk friendly. And then another one popped up and another. Girls get a grip!
The little food tray you can get as a Stanley add-on that just sits on top of the cup and it's not even like a little lunchbox, it's JUST an open tray is what did my head in!!!! Like what is the use for that!! You can't carry it around with your Stanley cause the food will just fall off so you'd literally only get use out of it at home where you.... have plates and bowls for your snacks already...
I was once in the elevator at work with someone with a bigger than carry-on wheeled suitcase, and made the offhanded comment "oh, you must be going somewhere fun once we get out of here!" She just looked at me and was like "no, this is just what I need to bring to work." WHY would you need a whole checked bag to go to work every day? I pack less for a whole week away from home!

It's literally rage bait. Anyone is going to comment what bothers them and that will give them the engagement that they're farming for
I used to work as a content creator and had WAYYY too much skincare and beauty products it was scary. A lot ended up going to waste too because I wasn’t able to finish everything before it expired (sad). Now, a few years later, I only buy what I need and will use it all up before buying new products. I am definitely not a minimalist but for skincare and beauty, I try to consume as little as possible. I also no longer work as a content creator so I don’t have to worry about have excess products anymore.
I really hate these videos when they appear in my TH-cam feed. They actually look ridiculous to me with all that stuff they can’t even use up before it expires. It’s so wasteful! I had to get over my need of wanting everything that I don’t need. I like having money more than stuff😂 Thanks for talking about this!♥️
Exactly my thought. I like variety too but there is only 1 of me. 😂 How much product is literally going down the drain? I've been finishing off all my products lately. THIS IS KEEPING AMERICA IN POVERTY. 😢
Yeah, even if I'm not nuts about a product, as long as it's not _bad_ I try to use it up before buying something new because I'll never manage to use it up before it expires otherwise, and I don't wanna just throw it in the trash. They're literally throwing away money and plastic and chemicals for no reason... 😞
Absolutely this !! Especially with the current state of the world, theres a lot to be depressed about even if you dont have diagnosable mental illness 🖤
im super sensitive to smell hate when theres a perfumey residue on my phone from disinfectant since i cant rinse it off so i just use rubbing alcohol, works like a charm and takes about a minute lol. i have adhd and a really hectic life im obsessed with anything to make my life more organized or easier and as someone obsessed with organization i see 95% of these things and go “wtf is that why”
It’s so funny that you posted this today because I was JUST thinking about how much I despise those restocking videos. Like ‘the guest bathroom’ restocks? Those are my absolute least favorite. Not only is it over-consumerism, but it’s not even for themselves, it’s for a hypothetical situation where a guest is going to come visit and manage to forget to bring any and every toiletry. It’s just soooo obnoxious because you know they’re just buying all that shit for views.
@rachel3620 I know. Lol I grew up in a house with 4 girls and one bathroom. People acted like we lived in a 3rd world country when I told them. The horror!😂
This trend is most definitely part of the reason why plastic production and consumption keep rising despite the fact that environmental concerns have become so established that nowadays they’re basically a marketing strategy. This is insane. And, frankly, it’s wrong and harmful on so many levels.
Outside the obvious emphasis on overconsumption that I find appalling, there’s another reason I avoid this content and would never implement it: my anxiety. I’ve been able to manage it in my personal well enough, but trying to implement a system even half this complicated this would reactivate it so hard. The amount of plastic containers and the idea of the time spent restocking them would make me not even want to start without several days to emotionally prepare myself.
hey isabella, I've been watching your videos for about a year now - 90% of the time I'm not interested in the topic before watching, but by a couple of minutes in, you'll somehow make it interesting. Anyway, I really appreciate the effort you put into your content, and I'm sorry you've been struggling. Depression is a beast. Thank you for talking about it. It really does help people
The ice,in a smaller quantity, makes the most sense. I know people who mainly drink water with fruit in it so this would work well for them. One doesn't have an automatic ice maker so they to do the ice trays anyway.
Yeah and if it’s a big family and they all like drinks with ice like that, they might go through it pretty quickly. I know some people use fun ice like that for their kids cus it gets them to drink water. So this ice thing seems like the most “normal” one to me. It’s a couple relatively cheap, reusable trays used to turn something average into something a little more whimsical, and I like that.
i think if you like ice like this, then go for it. it's when it becomes a trend to do this and promote ice trays on your amazon page, it becomes something for show and not because you genuinely want it
I'd even venture to say you don't need ANYTHING like these restock videos even if you DO have the income for it. It's wasteful regardless of how much money you have.
The things that bugs me the most about the restock videos is when they put it into another container but it doesnt all fit so they still have to find a place to put the remaining product and its package!! They all must have like a dump closet somewhere we're not seeing.
I only restock what I need- my skincare lasts 2 months, body scrub- haven’t even gone through the whole tub in 2 months… I don’t understand how people restock so much! I enjoy the videos for ASMR tingles but saving the earth is more important- just get what you need
something i think is rlly interesting is the way this extreme overconsumption leads to extreme underconsumption, and ik that sounds like it’s not possible but ive seen many “underconsumption” influencers promoting things that are just unsafe in order not to buy something new.
@@missmia196 this one girl said that dog toys are a waste of money and you should just buy stuffed animals from the thrift store. literally just a choking hazard
Saw a video where someone suggested to tape a charger with exposed wire instead of buying a new one like.. Why? That's such a fire hazard 😭 We shouldn't be buying and hoarding things that we don't need, but we also shouldn't risk our own life in the name of trying to avoid overconsumption. Responsible and safe consumption is the key, really
@@Maivinity she was the same creator that also suggested to pour melted old wax into thrifted glassware. Never mentioned how it has to be heat proof or else there will be glass in your eyes. She also promoted the "thrift stuffed animals and use them as dog toys" video the other commenter mentioned. I stopped following her pretty quickly.
I am sure we have all seen that one person now doing videos packing their Stanley. It’s too much. My water bottle doesn’t need accessories. I put a boot on the bottom to keep it from getting dented, maybe stickers, and that is it. I don’t need a pill case, pouch, charm, and other silly items.
I actually was shocked I couldn’t comprehend so much shit on a portable water bottle 😂 to each their own but most people probably won’t need that. It’s just a trend rn that’s it!
I have to carry a pill case for my medication tho. Same with other people who have other illnesses and health problems. But it’s just in my purse lol 😂
That name is a blast from the past 🤯 the things people will do for views and money. Also it’s super weird all her anti mlm content is gone.. was she in a controversy or something? I vaguely remember the anti mlm world kinda blew up a couple years ago but I had lost interest
i am currently in the process of using every product i have and not buying a new one until i’ve finished my last bottle of the type of item. i’m not rich so i never had absurd amounts but i’d have like 3 face washes, 2 toners, multiple lotions so i told myself no more new products until i’ve finished the ones i had. it’s almost time for new face wash!😂
As someone with OCD, I'm so thankful it stops me from having excess of things that won't stay with me forever. I get so overwhelmed when I have too many things that I'm not actively using, so it helps me stick to a few things per category, like makeup and skincare for example.
I like the ones that are normal amounts of things organization. There are SO many things that just make no sense to have so much. That scrub will be like two lifetimes worth. But cute little containers for bathroom stuff like qtips or floss picks, it’s super relaxing. I hate the ones that are obviously just ads for expensive fridge bins or whatever, there’s so much at dollar tree that looks just fine in my pantry 😅 I know some will think certain things are silly like dumping bulk product into a glass jar but it makes me feel happy. It’s truly the overconsumption itself that lies the problem. I’m SUPER glad to see ‘underconsumption’ stuff trending now 💕
I do actually have little "jars" for my q-tips and cotton balls in my bathroom at home (much easier to grab something out of a jar adjacent to the sink than go digging through a drawer or cabinet), but I hate the people who talk about buying special containers for that kind of stuff for travel. I got absolutely roasted for saying "you know, hotels have those, you can just ask" on another forum (ranged from "they're generic, you're low-class if you are willing to use generics!" to "how cheap are you?"). But, yeah, hotels have those, you can just ask. I asked about two weeks ago, and they sent up 3 packs of each, 4 in each pack (so 4 q-tips and 4 cotton balls in each pack), which was MORE than enough for my 7-night stay! I may be a little cheap, but more than anything, I don't want to buy special containers for things like that, and I often need to maximize space in my bag for things I can't get on the fly (y'know, like clothes)!
@@toda2638 like travel sized products? I’ve gotten them occasionally but only to refill with the regular size when I need to. I do agree on the sentiment with people who continually get those smaller products out of convenience, I personally go out of my way to get something reusable for any extra containers. I think that’s where the bulk of the waste lies, relying fully on disposable products so often and feeling the need to have way more than you’d need. I try not to be wasteful but wouldn’t go as far as to consider myself an environmentalist. I aim to be as ethical of a consumer than I can, I think that’s what bothers me with these is that people just don’t care. Even when pointed out they just stick their nose and say ‘I can spend my money however I want’. I know they can but that should still be criticized
The way so many influencers are overconsuming to the point where their homes are starting to look like stores is crazy 😭 The lifestyle comes in pretty packaging but the more you think about it, the more inconvenient it sounds. You just know these influencers’ stuff is in the corner collecting dust when they could be in the hands of someone else who would actually use them :(
I was packing my bag full of similiar little travel things when you said “where are you going??” and I literally said, out loud, “ESTONIA.” 😂 (I am on vacation and taking a day trip)
I honestly do the ice stuff. I don't have/make as many, but it makes me so happy to see my mom pick out a (few) ice cubes when she comes over in hot weather. It sparks joy. And the trays are usually available at dollar stores as well. If you like to drink cold, flavored drinks, this is not a weird one!
also if you put lids on the containers the ice doesn’t rly go bad/taste weird. I don’t make tons of ice, but I do think it’s the chill-est (lol) of them. a few bucks for each tray is the biggest expense and mostly you just put water in which… you pay for anyway lol.
I literally cringe on these videos. The overly excessive restocks drive me insane and the intentionally slow movement for ASMR pursposes is what I hate even more. INSANE!
I’m glad it’s not just me! No hate against ASMR but I totally agree with you. Simply using extra slow movement and tapping on everything and then tagging it ASMR is silly and annoying.
Those Stanley cup ones, have they not got a bag? A purse? A ruck sack, a fanny pack even!! Like what? And that one at the end, makes me feel gross all that up next to your straw, going to drink and getting dip and a burger in my hair 😂
If you look in the background of these restock videos, you'll notice perfect, shiny, large bathrooms and marble countertops in the kitchens. These are very rich people with enviable homes and an aesthetic-pleasing environment. Part of the appeal of these restock videos is how nice the home looks.
Not the overconsumption tacklebox I am screaming 💀 fr though these Stanley restocks just look like a microcosm of upper middle class insanity - they remind me of a miniature version of a middle class fancy finished basement that was filled to the brim with ridiculous shit people didn’t need but it certainly looked cool and was convenient to have a twizzler drawer for movie nights 😂
I live in Germany and influencers here have to flag ads constantly, also if they didn‘t receive money but they got the product for free. Their stories/posts/… then have a little text box with something like „ad, gifted“.
@@sophiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie yes i lived in germany for 3 years and that was when all this started trending, so i thought this was the norm. imagine my surprise when i moved back to canada and i don’t know who to believe anymore haha
Realistically even if these ppl WERE using this amount of product, that fact that they would be choosing to buy individually wrapped minis instead of larger sizes is so yuck anyway
The snap-on capsule holder at about 17:18 could be great for if you have a daily medication. Using it for a breathing is over the top, but if I always have my water bottle handy also having my medication handy would be super convenient.

I watch ice restock and sometimes Gen restock videos, but I watch them specifically late at night and purely for the ASMR. Like finances aside, I would not have the effort or fridge space to restock all that stuff.
I've gotten around the serotonin high when buying new stuff. Either I buy food for my 2 cats, or I get the subscription food package for them. Or if I really want something I try to find it in a store bc most of the time I don't buy it if I have to directly spend money..... I also get it when buying groceries, lol. I also disabled all the notifications from online shop apps or deleted them completely... if I need something I can Google the shop...
ive never watched your videos before, but i saw this on my suggested and gave it a try. your quick message at the beginning really spoke volumes for me. ive been struggling a lot with major depressive disorder and the highs and lows that come along with it; lately ive been in a difficult low trend. but hearing you, someone ive never met or seen before, mention your struggles reminded me that im not alone, and it is hard, but i can do this. thank you, great video ❤

I live in a small apartment in San Francisco and I love my life. You know where San Franciscans store stuff? In stores. We store our stuff in stores. That’s why they’re called stores.
What and how and why would you ever possibly need 22 sugar scrubs at one time?? That’s insane, as someone who works in retail with beauty product I stock these scrubs and I see people buy 4-5 at a time and come back within a month to buy another 4-5 more. It’s too much exfoliation and waste and money down the drain.
I've spent so so so much money on beauty products trying to keep up with TH-cam influencers. I knew nothing about TH-cam until 2019 I wanted to buy and try everything.
It’s really crazy what company’s sell overseas. I have NEVER seen these 14:34 singular packed neutrogena wipes here in Germany and by god I could never imagine these being sold here
13:12 some of these light up phone cleaner guys do work, there was a dude who tested them on TH-cam. Can’t remember who right now… basically Lysol worked better and you still needed to clean it of oils and debris for an effective clean, but the box did make a noticeable difference
Biggest red flags of these "restocks" is that the containers are always ALL 100% empty. Like girl waited for the last item in the fridge to run out before getting groceries. (It hit me during the "stanley restock". There was nothing left in her little side case, and everything she put back in was a brand new product. (Sidenote, but using a Stanley cup as your entire purse is BATSHIT) Also, I've seen a bunch of these insane restock/collection videos before. The ice girl and the shower girl ones make me feel like I've stumbled in the wrong timeline.
I really applaud you for taking the time to make videos when youre feeling depressed. You dont have to but its so very brave (im depressed rn too pff) bevause i know it takes freaking physical strength ❤
A lot of these are also weird desperate attempts to get sponsored/be a partner for a brand. They're doing all this free labour in the hopes the brand will notice them and legitimise their need to be an influencer
Your lash video popped up for me and picqued my interest and I found myself so in agreement with your points. Just wanted to let you know you're beautiful and extremely well spoken! Thank you for verbalizing all my thoughts.
It is so bad for your skin to be putting 100s of different skincare products on your face and using new products constantly. It will destroy your skin’s epidermis layer. Trust me!! You are better to use potent skincare packed full of deep healing hydrating ingredients that total to 4 products including sunscreen. Your skin won’t be able to keep up with everything your applying to your face, you will suffer tightness, redness, frequent reactions, breakouts and possible dermatitis. These influencers don’t care about the health of your skin! They care about you spending the money on the products they were paid to talk about through sponsorships!
I super appreciate your vids ❤ ngl the best thing I ever did was admit to myself (and my psychiatrist) that I was depressed. I knew I needed medication or my life would continue to downward spiral. I am on 3 different anti depressants and have never felt better. It has been 5 years since my lowest and although I tried to get off of them, I am fully okay with continuing them for life. If you need meds that is between you and your provider. I had to tell myself I was not "weak" or "lazy" or "less than" for needing meds. We are enough ❤ sending hugs and happy thoughts your way 🤗
I don’t even go through my shampoo and conditioner at the same rate, so the fact that restock influencers can fully “restock” their tackle box with random single-use products blows my mind. There is no way they finish everything at the same time to do an entire restock of every product at once.
God bless you for encouraging folks to be a little more restrained with their purchasing. We are often encouraged to buy, buy, buy, but it can just be so over the top sometimes. We don’t need every little gadget the market puts out. I’m now struggling with an over cluttered home after years of consumption. Pairing back is really making my head feel clearer and calmer.
I actually do use that carry sleeve for my tumbler. I hate carrying my bulky purse to things like a kid's game or outdoor event. I put my bottle in the sleeve, my keys, chap stick, my cash (for snacks or extras), my phone and I'm good. Then I'm not having to use a heavy purse for a casual event but still have all the things I need while away from my car or purse. I've had it now for over a year and it's worked well for me. I just keep it in the car so I have it if we go somewhere and tote it around like a crossbody.
I LOVE your frames behind you with the 3D flowers. 🌸 stumbled upon your page and this video def was top tier. I always watch these restock videos etc and feel so shitty about how not put together my own life is. I’ve learned to just keep scrolling. 😅

i recently cleaned out my closet and it made me realize how much stuff I bought because of social media. i am now more conscious of what I buy and I buy it when I run out of what I'm using, specially skincare and make up ( I'm a victim of the 2016 makeup era lmao) but honestly I think the overconsumption trend is getting out of hand
Besides being a bad representation of realistic cleaning and shopping, I feel like these restock videos can negatively impact people with mental health issues or other disabilities. People with ADHD may be more likely to purchase these items due to the dopamine hit and end up with unnecessary junk. People with FOMO/self-esteem issues might have a hard time not buying these items because it looks like everyone is getting them. I just think these videos can encourage unhealthy spending and unrealistic expectations.
I'm usually quick to point out that it's not the responsibility of the individual consumer to save the environment with their spending habits...... but "tackle box full of individually wrapped single-use items to put on my stanley cup (of which I have 9)" is so far past normal. like what's she going for, plastic waste chic? There's also the "guest bathroom restock" ones where theyre putting thousands of dollars worth of skincare into drawers, like why are they pretending they keep five identical drunk elephant moisturizers sitting around their guest bathrooms?
I used to purchase way too many skincare products recommended by one of my favorite MUAs (who, to her credit, was always very up-front about what was a paid sponsorship and what was her own opinion). In one video, when she was showing a breakout and expressing her frustration with it, I finally realized: she’s an MUA and a model, and having perfect skin is her *job*. And even with all that time and all those resources at her disposal, she’s still going to have breakouts. It made me feel a LOT better about my skin and I’m much choosier about skincare now.
Ugh the microphones turned on super high sensitivity while they crinkle the packages and tap their fingernails on them and rub the plastic eye mask packages and things together. It's AWFUL. I can't express how much I hate it. I don't watch any content like this.
This is why I deleted all social media (aside from TH-cam) during Covid. The entire point of it is to convince you to buy shit you don’t need lol. Btw, you’re my go to favorite comfort TH-camr as I’m getting ready for a stressful workday ❤
Had to stop and comment on the ice tray/bin combo. I had my kitchen and dining room redone last year, and my fridge (which makes ice! I am WITH YOU on an ice maker being the greatest thing ever!) was disconnected from the water for the 5 weeks it took to tear 1/6 of my house apart and put it back together. I got one of those bad boys because girl needs ice in her dranks! It was pretty, pretty good! Once the ice was made, you can store it in the bin, and then the ice trays sit on top of it, so you can make more ice without having to figure out how to set trays down level in your freezer. I gave it to a friend who doesn't have an ice maker once my fridge was back in place and hooked back up to the water, and he thinks it's pretty great, too!

I remember someone saying "We make fun of grandma for buying every crap on TV infomercials but we do the same on social media", it was so eye-opening!
It’s crazy how much product placement is ALL OVER our media. Even movies and tv shows! So much product plugging!
I think my biggest petty pet peeve with restock influencers is that they ALL seem to wear the exact same oversized sweatshirt with the longass sleeves. It just makes me shiver, imagining how the filthy cuffs would be, getting into absolutely everything😭
Also, back in the late 2010s I had a brief period as a skincare account on Insta, & I had a whole RACK of different sheet masks. Even using them daily, sometimes twice a day, the vast majority expired before I got to them. Same with other skincare products. It is SO hard to go through it in time, especially if you’re trying new products constantly. Most of it will never be used more than a handful of times.
Thank youuu I hate it so much too ! And these videos all look the same 50 shades pf beige or pink, the sleeves, the same products, camera angles, tap tap on the objects…
It took me a while to realize the videos I was seen were from multiple people
Lol Most influencers all look, dress, and have the same house 😂
They look the same they talk the same & virtually have the same homes w the same type of restocking 😂🙄 a very beige life
You forgot to mention how they always wear the same rings on the same fingers 😅

I feel that. If I get things I don’t need I give it away to friends and family.
I really hate these videos when they appear in my TH-cam feed. They actually look ridiculous to me with all that stuff they can’t even use up before it expires. It’s so wasteful! I had to get over my need of wanting everything that I don’t need. I like having money more than stuff😂
Thanks for talking about this!♥️
Exactly my thought.
take all the time you need, youre not alone in having depression
Not me just having.... one bathroom. The horror! 🤯
Them: "I stock up like a 1000 room hotel for my guests!"
Me: "Oh, you forgot your deodorant? There's a grocery store 3 blocks away..."
@rachel3620 I know. Lol I grew up in a house with 4 girls and one bathroom. People acted like we lived in a 3rd world country when I told them. The horror!😂
Yep. I always think that if their guests actually use even third of that stuff, they've overstayed their welcome.
The amount of plastic containers and the idea of the time spent restocking them would make me not even want to start without several days to emotionally prepare myself.
hey isabella,
I've been watching your videos for about a year now - 90% of the time I'm not interested in the topic before watching, but by a couple of minutes in, you'll somehow make it interesting.
Like what
@@missmia196 this one girl said that dog toys are a waste of money and you should just buy stuffed animals from the thrift store. literally just a choking hazard
Saw a video where someone suggested to tape a charger with exposed wire instead of buying a new one like.. Why? That's such a fire hazard 😭
We shouldn't be buying and hoarding things that we don't need, but we also shouldn't risk our own life in the name of trying to avoid overconsumption. Responsible and safe consumption is the key, really
@@Maivinity she was the same creator that also suggested to pour melted old wax into thrifted glassware. Never mentioned how it has to be heat proof or else there will be glass in your eyes.

I only use the straw hole covers and that’s it. Everything else is so unnecessary.
Ohh yes to the stickers!

It’s funny that the girl who did the Stanley restock thing is Emily Leah, & she used to do Anti-MLM content 😂 back when it was a new thing

@@IsabellaLanter she blocked me too but her robotic voice, tapping things with her nails and non disclosed adverts made me so annoyed
Good work! Save that money!
The way so many influencers are overconsuming to the point where their homes are starting to look like stores is crazy 😭
The lifestyle comes in pretty packaging but the more you think about it, the more inconvenient it sounds. You just know these influencers’ stuff is in the corner collecting dust when they could be in the hands of someone else who would actually use them :(
The tapping and like, *scrunching* of the plastic on products drives me absolutely insane.
My dog loves the sound but it does drive me nuts
I was packing my bag full of similiar little travel things when you said “where are you going??” and I literally said, out loud, “ESTONIA.” 😂
(I am on vacation and taking a day trip)
The lengths people will go to in order to not carry a purse. Those loaded Stanleys look so silly 😂
hey girl heyy! take your time with the videos. its totally okay to be gentle with yourself. i’m in a funk too. sending love 💕

The “overconsumption tackle box” 😂😂😂😂😂 YES! That’s so good
I watch ice restock and sometimes Gen restock videos, but I watch them specifically late at night and purely for the ASMR.

That’s insane, as someone who works in retail with beauty product I stock these scrubs and I see people buy 4-5 at a time and come back within a month to buy another 4-5 more. It’s too much exfoliation and waste and money down the drain.

The part with restocking the Stanley...... The hand sanitizer is supposed to be refillable! Like, she shouldn't be opening a new one!! 😬😭
People forget that this extra bs is somebody’s job and they’re getting paid for that time and materials where as the person influenced is not
I've spent so so so much money on beauty products trying to keep up with TH-cam influencers.
Why would I want to walk around with a tumbler that is now TEN FREAKING POUNDS after adding all that crap?!?!?!?
Biggest red flags of these "restocks" is that the containers are always ALL 100% empty. Like girl waited for the last item in the fridge to run out before getting groceries.
(It hit me during the "stanley restock". There was nothing left in her little side case, and everything she put back in was a brand new product. (Sidenote, but using a Stanley cup as your entire purse is BATSHIT)
Also, I've seen a bunch of these insane restock/collection videos before. The ice girl and the shower girl ones make me feel like I've stumbled in the wrong timeline.
I really applaud you for taking the time to make videos when youre feeling depressed. You dont have to but its so very brave (im depressed rn too pff) bevause i know it takes freaking physical strength ❤
My purse is a small black hole and I could restock forever because it disappears once it goes inside….except receipts. So many receipts.
The Stanley video content creator used to do anti MLM videos several years ago! Recently found your videos and they are awesome!! 👏🏻😂
Real life issues can be so hard. You have to take care of yourself first. I get it. I'm glad you're back
I LOVE your frames behind you with the 3D flowers. 🌸 stumbled upon your page and this video def was top tier. I always watch these restock videos etc and feel so shitty about how not put together my own life is. I’ve learned to just keep scrolling. 😅
I feel this so hard!! I had been doing soooo good w my depression for a solid year. then shit popped off at my job and I’ve been soo struggling since! I definitely appreciate you sharing!💜 depression is not that bitch!
On the other hand those ice cube things are kinda satisfying but I mean it could be somebody's special interest or something
i recently cleaned out my closet and it made me realize how much stuff I bought because of social media. i am now more conscious of what I buy and I buy it when I run out of what I'm using, specially skincare and make up ( I'm a victim of the 2016 makeup era lmao) but honestly I think the overconsumption trend is getting out of hand
I just think these videos can encourage unhealthy spending and unrealistic expectations.
the ice machine thrill is so real, got my first fridge with an ice maker at 21 and i was so excited about never having to use a ice cube tray again
I don’t understand why people take things out of container’s or packets to put in other containers!
Ugh the microphones turned on super high sensitivity while they crinkle the packages and tap their fingernails on them and rub the plastic eye mask packages and things together. It's AWFUL. I can't express how much I hate it. I don't watch any content like this.
i really appreciated the intro to this one, i fear it seems we were attacked around the same time.. sending you peace and healing girl
