@@smoothsavage2870 yeah man as frustrated as i get with her stubby normals, easily jabbable specials, no invincibility, low damage, and dedicated anti-air specials that either trade or get beat... I'm just having so much fun with her. I went back to playing Dee-Jay, and was getting almost effortless wins on Master rank players (I'm not that good but I'm not awful) and it just felt silly that i had to do so much more work to get wins over the same ppl.
@@kt8770 Dee Jay is pretty scary to play against. I agree with you on pretty much everything you said about Kimberly though, that's why im also learning Rashid lol.
@@smoothsavage2870 "scary" is one way to put it. The way people are playing him is similar to Guile and i think it's lame and over-rewarding. I don't think chars who have easy answers to everything should also get so much damage, and i DEFINITELY don't think that chars that have ridiculous zoning should also be effective at rushdown. It's one of the problems I've had with Guile since IV and one of the issues I'm having with Dee Jay, especially when i look at chars like Kimberley who have low range, easily beatable rushdown (once you know the moves), and SUPER unreliable anti-air and defense, but then also need a Lvl3 install just to do as much dmg as the rest of the cast, lol. Gonna be interesting to see how the next balance patch shapes up. Hopefully they at least give her OD Bushin invincibility back, it would really help her out.
Thank you for uploading vids per topic.The ones at the top usually puts too much of niche scenario combos along with basic ones and was really confusing. Finally feels like I'm learning than just copying move off of vids.
About that l.elbow juggle at 8:15, it probably has been said before but it leaves you at +30 (instead of +29 that you would get by doing the run kick followup in the corner) and allows you to get the +1 on block run overhead that you would get midscreen
This showed me enough for lvl 2 to earn a sub man. good stuff. I've mained DeeJay, Jamie and Rashid and had fun. Looking to learn Kim instead of Camy for even more fun vs following others. Your vids have taught me some very good tech that helped me beat many diamond players. Even almost beat a Master yesterday with her. I'm Bronze 4 with Kim lol. Spray can combos are my issue now.
8:56 - instead of ending with l.elbow, if you have level 1 but not level 3 yet and a level 1 would kill, you can also level 1 off of it and it'll connect... never see anyone do this and have seen plenty of kims have a round win situation off of it and dont burn the level 1.
you can do run into lk 3x after the air drop if you do reg-ex-reg, then into elbow into level 3, or no elbow and into level 1. So much harder to execute tho. I'd still do the double tatsu to close out.
I prefer to use (if not blocked or jabbed) Fwd Hvy into S. Neutral Jump, into H.Punch or Md. Kick, hvy neutral kick, Med Punch, Drive Rush, Hvy Neutral Kick, Med Punch + Hvy Punch, then EX Run Kick, into Ex Tatsu, then LV 2. And if I don't have the bar I do some variation of this either without the bar or just converting my Heavy Neutral Kick into the rest of this combo.

If it's going to kill, might as well spend the bar to make sure it happens. For me personally it happens quite often, once every game or two I'll end up using that combo to finish off a little bit of remaining health

I started with Jamie and didnt like what was going on with his drinks, so i ended up choosing Kimberly. Been labbing her like crazy.

Too much startup. You can react to the startup of F HK and jab it, parry it, etc. St HK cannot

Yeah that's fair enough. I'd personally suggest working on the st hk timing for more + frames on block and consistency on techers
