Kirby, I have been a client of Stefano Bemer for the past 3 years and have had commissioned shoes and suits with them. I am a huge fan of their products and enjoy them every time I wear them. What Tommaso Melani has done preserving the brand’s DNA and expanding it’s reach after the unfortunate and early passing of Mr. Bemer, I consider a great service and gift to our community of individuals that care for craftsmanship and tradition in the field of shoemaking and sartorial excellence. Thank you for your quality and in depth introduction to this amazing brand and the individuals driving it forward. Cheers! Sean.
Just when I think Kirby Allison can't outdo himself, he does! His content remains exceptional and a tour de force for every "Gentleman" on the planet. Thank you Kirby for your commitment to quality and style. Member for life!👍
What a wonderful and enlightening series you have produced on the style and related culture of Italy. Tomasso has opened a whole new perspective to me on the key elements and foundations of his brand and Italian clothing style. I can’t wait to see what surprise he has in store for you. Well done!👍
As an italian I love italian style from Napoli, Firenze, Milano but I appreciate french, british and american style. Beauty has many different ways to express itself.
It was immediately obvious how much more "relaxed" the Italian gentlemen were compared to Kirby. Don't get me wrong, he looks great and more like a day in London vs Florence. He'll be happy to have something made from that region.
Looks like Tommaso is going to break Kirby free from his funeral director preferences....Can't wait to see what he makes....but I guess that episode is months if not years away. We never saw the New York Huntsman ( ? Poole ?? ) suit....such a shame.
There are of course other brands that offered RTW handwelted shoes before Stefani Bemer, but this is what rejuvenated the brand and made it as famous as it is nowadays.
To add on to something Tommaso said: he says he thinks gyw rtw is easier to sell OTR. From my experience I'd disagree. I've had both gyw and handwelted shoes on right next to each other OTR and it's worlds apart. The handwelted shoe is way closer to the foot and shaped around the foot due to how it is constructed. There is this one shop in Vienna selling both John Lobb and Bontoni and the Bontonis are incredibly more comfortable.
The Embroidering at 26.30 is also an Bavarian Tradition called Kielstickerei, which is often used for wide Belt shaped Accessoire combined with the Deer leather trousers. The Belt price is up to 5000 Euro each.
I was in Florence a month ago. A city of history. I met wonderful folks. Truly, glad to see you visit there 🕴🤵 You should visit the wine farms in Tuscany. 🍷 🧺
@@kirbyallison also if you need a guide I know a few good American translators/guides I can recommend that also have youtube channels. Like Quinlan from Go North Japan. And it is one of the easiest places to travel/film (unless you're talking drone shots) but quinlan could probably help with that as he does a lot of drone stuff.
I'm surprised that the Stefano Bemer New York City store wasn't mentioned at all. In addition to their Ready to Wear and Made to Measure offerings, you can also commission bespoke Stefano Bemer shoes and suits. All the more surprising since Eric Jensen, who has made a number of suits for Kirby, is the new Stefano Bemer New York City Head Cutter. You would think someone might have at least referenced that in this video.
Tommaso and his family are a big part of traditional craft in Florence, so impossible to do something there without featuring them heavily. He also was very kind to help coordinate a lot of our filming in Florence. But, don't worry, with 20 episodes, there will be plenty of variety!
You are right. Montegranaro is calling. But while the craftsmanship is exceptional and I own quite a few pairs of Montegranaro made shoes, the design is not always up there.

👏💯
The intro with the strings it’s a masterpiece, gives me goosebumps…
The studio does a great job selecting this music. I wish I could take credit, but the credit goes to them entirely.
Tommaso speaks beautiful english. I'm English, and his vocabulary and turns of phrase dwarf mine....A passionate articulate ambassador for his brand.

This is by far your best series so far. Absolutely fantastic. Can't wait for episodes with Rubinacci
Another wonderful series, Florence is really a city of class
Enjoy!

The quality of the video is comparable with a cinema movie. Great video
I am always impressed with how comfortable and laid back Italian men are in their style. It's just so natural and looks so easy.
I am British and for me no matter what I wear of excellent quality when I go to Italy I feel like I look like I am wearing a burlap sack! :)

Thanks for the tour of Italy Kirby. I love the heritage and landscape there. I need to go one day.
Waiting for the ep. with food, Kirby 👍 Anyway, this ep. is enjoyable.
Don't worry! We have a fantastic episode visiting one of Florence's most famous restaurants coming up soon!
Loving the Italy series

Mr Allison perhaps Sir you should get a job with the Italian Tourist Bureau Thank you for a great show ♥️🇮🇹
Breath taking.............
Such a nice video. Cheers.

That was a casualty of COVID I believe.

Beautiful video ❤
Great video!
Nice video. Really.
The shoes are beautiful. Don't know about the jackets, they look like they've been slept in.

I would like to see Mr. Allison have a pair of MTM shoes made for him there as well.
Awsome 👌

Don’t worry, we went to Bondi Santi in Sienna next!
Mr allison is definitely the modern day clark kent love the suits so inspirational
We should see a video on the greatest bespoke maker of all time. YOHEI FAKUDA!!!!!!
Japan is on the short list for 2025… but it wish an easy or inexpensive place to film.
@@kirbyallisonJapan is a very inexpensive place to travel right now Kirby. The Yen is reeling in comparison to the USD.
@@Jim58223Agree, food is cheap and your dollar should go a long way.

I like this series and I found the character of Italian style is very interesting.

Love the series so far.... but is it the Stefano Bemer business tour or Italian tour ? 3 episode about these guys...

What’s the site call to buy a pair
Link is in the description.
Most Famous Shoemakers in Italy are in Marches not in Tuscany

...neat to see the chinese utilizing this process and keeping it alive in the italian culture ...highlighted by italians
Great Video! I love the blue suit you are wearing, double breasted, which tailor is this from may I ask?
If Kirby didn't look so selfconscious it would look amazing. The missing piece
Elephant leather ??? Honestly how unmoraly can one be
Just Awesome
