That's the perks of it. When a family pet senses stress especially when one has a seizure it's them who protect the epileptics from injuring themselves further. Lady Di (Hot Lips in real life) brought reality to this scene. Well done to all the actors involved in this story.
Maddy Hill is now in Casualty and plays a trainee paramedic.It always seemed to be stress that brought on Nancys seizures,which happens a lot in epilepsy,so the writers got that right in Eastenders.
I had a 13yr old cat that NEVER left my side when I had my Convulsive seizures. Zeeky was the best at knowing one was coming. He would became velcro to me. According to my family he licked my face until I came out of it. Animals know long before we do. On a better note, the actress who plays Nancy, has at least my seizures down pat. Love her! About time someone shows that we can still have a life with seizures. It just has to be altered a bit.
I remember when I as in school a classmate of mine was epilectic and it was only a small school for people with attendence issues or behaviour trouble anyway she and I were the only ones in art class (with the teacher) and she had a seizure in class and just collapsed to the ground and started doing something similar to this. It really is scary to watch but I can't imagine how scary it is to experiance it.
Charlotte Me and peopel in my family have seizures and yesterday i was in town with my frend and i had one and hes seen me have 2 difrent kinds o seizure befoor then but wen he saw that one yesterday, he told me after i scared him shitles. its scary to have one trust me and after your so exorsted you just want to sleep so he sat next to me for 10 minits and let me sleep wich i liked becus lots of peopel have litraly just left me wen ive had a seizure.
That was really cool of him to do. Although I was scared I wouldn't of just left her especially when the teacher went to get the nurse. I was just told to keep an eye on her but not touch her too much unless she rolls onto her back. They took her home after cause of how tired she was though.
I used to have this type of seizure since a baby but now its all sorted its took me 16yrs and 4 typres of tablets its a long time but theres a light at the end of the tunnel
