I feel like this song isn’t about difficulty, but more about telling the story of DustTale. From the start, we see papyrus slowing dying in the background, and once he’s dusted, his “spirit” appears. After that, we get a flashback to the ruins, where we see the “spirits” of the other monsters Sans has killed, including Toriel. All in all, it feels like Boyfriend is genuinely upset, angry, and a little bit scared. That’s how you know this song is top notch.
The sense of fnf is that while playing is that you have rythm (to enjoy the music you liste ing and most of all tapping the notes not only by watching them on the screen but by listening at the music you re playing since they must get hitten at music rhytmh so even if the mod or the week you was playing wasnt hard you listened to a music and tried to follow is rythm both visually and by ears that helped you so this is the true sense of fnf not about the difficulty like everyone or almost believe (if i didn't understood it wrong) but to listent to a music and to try to follow and mostly enjoy while keeping up with his times hard or not.
2:29 this part is so haunting to me (and probably alot of others), the fact the music cuts off and we only hear the vocals of the fallen ruin monsters and the fact toriels spirit (whos in the backround) never sings maybe because she feels betrayed by someone she called a freind, now am i reading too much into this? I noticed the music had cut out and only the screams were heard. I was so impacted by this, I was impressed by how well executed this was. I definitely look forward to more in the future.
Holy moly I knew it was going to be good but it really passed my expectations, for the longest of times we'd either See Frisk or Sans tortured by the sins/lost souls crawling on their back but never showcased in Games centring around dusttale a AU Based entirely around sin. Amazing stuff guys.

I love the expression Boyfriend gives off, it goes to show that Boyfriend is judging Sans for going into the genocide route and are arguing what is morally right and wrong.
I think he would have no reaction just like anyother mod, only form for him to react is if GF gets hurt (wich isn't an easy task), like Legion (Blue Balls Incident Mod) did
There isn't a thing in the world I'd change about this. The sprites, the music, the color palettes, all beautiful. I don't think I could've executed this better myself, even if I had the rest of my life to do so
Honestly I feel like this song accomplishes a faithful representation of Dusttale better than the dusttale mod itself. That mod got the sense of desperation correct at the start, but not what I think to be the message Dusttale as a story wishes to convey. A man pushed past his breaking point into complete shatter. The utter horror of watching someone you know descending into homicidal psychopathy. The dread of knowing they believe every murder they commit to be justified. And lastly, the heart wrenching, sickening realization that while pieces of who they used to be are still in there, they’ve gone too far to ever be saved. Though, these are just the ramblings of my own interpretation. Both mods are incredible pieces of work with time, love, and dedication put into them, and they deserve all the appreciation they can get.
@@inkdail365 you can't really compare the two mods with different aspects, in terms of the 'spam' it would make sense given that it's Lv19 Sans, but we're talking about story here so I'll just push that to the side. In terms of story they both present pretty good aspects of sans losing himself in each mod as you progress, such like comparing the beginning song and the last song, he's hesitant, not really wanting to kill but knows he has to if he wants to change his death from the human, and then in the last song he's just completely gone, going all out to try kill BF. Much like with the skeleton bro's version, it's showing the beginning phase of dusttale with sans murdering his brother, he has a reluctant look on his face while fighting BF as he doesn't want to do any of it, but uses his powers to continue And I also realise I'm going on and on so imma just shut up

I gotta say, this is one of the most haunting depictions of Dust Sans I've seen so far, and I'm here for it in every way. I will say that his left eye color is off (he is supposed to have a ring of blue of patience left, being subsumed by the red of LOVE and DT) but other than that he looks fantastic and the music so far has sounded great! I can't wait to see the release, the team should be proud!! Edit: MY B FOLKS i didnt notice in the pyrosomni vid that he does get his blue ring back! Thanks to the people who pointed this out. I just love Dust a lot and thats one of my fave aspects of his design, so yeah!!
He only gains that ring around his eye after killing more monsters. He doesn't have much LOVE after the Ruins, so his eyes are just red. You can see that he has the eye later on in Pyrosomni.
1:01 gives me the chills. The drop revealing the papyrus hallucination and how it’s laughter is practically draining Sans’ sanity as he sings is terrifying as hell.
@@cassius2530 i know he isn't screaming, i'm making an assumption. also, his mouth makes him seem otherwise, as people smile when they laugh, and it doesn't look like he's smiling while supposedly laughing. However, now that you mention it, his animation does make him seem like he's laughing.

The part that’s the most chilling to me is Sans’ idle animation. On a first glance, you don’t believe this to be Dust Sans, he just looks like his typically lethargic and lazy self. Then you notice the clump of snow and dust he’s standing on, the Bones writing in the ground, and his hood is up. You feel unsettled, Sans normally doesn’t posture himself in such a way, and it’s just unsettling enough to put you on edge before you see his actual animations. Suddenly his facial expression takes on a new, sudden definition with how cold, unfeeling, and *happy* it looks, with inklings of anger seething underneath.

I think from the way sans is always smiling, it invokes fear. But the fact he is grimacing instead of keeping a straight smile makes it feel a lot more unsettling because in a way he regrets what he's done

Okay, this. This right here. It's great. This is one of the best and most haunting versions of Dust Sans. It shows what he's become in the best way possible, from Papyrus dying, the souls of the monsters from the Ruins, this is perfect.
My analysis for this is literally just normal difficulty but puts the story thats being told to something i havent seen anywhere else in the modding community: show, dont tell. Its a nice change of pace and im exited for what next possible project will be!
I feel like FNF isn't its own game anymore. Instead, I feel like its a way too take popular or non-popular characters from different franchises and incorporate them into FNF to get their popularity boosted. This worked well with Madness Combat, Eddsworld, Mouse.avi, and even small games like Zardy's Maze. What I'm saying is that this game has gone from its own Newgrounds original game, to something WAY bigger. Even in some mods BF and GF aren't even in it. Which is another reason why this game has turned into a way too make YOUR very own OC into a popular character. What I don't really get is why some people get so mad when FNF kids find out about something like Camellia. Sure it's annoying, but given enough time they'll learn that not everything in FNF is from FNF. Which is what gets small creators more fans. Community Games wasn't even talked about until FNF hit front pages! Now I'm sure Community Games had some sort of popularity before FNF. But now you've probably watched him more than you can count on your hand. If given enough time, this Newgrounds game can turn into something bigger than what we have already. I can't wait too see what New (And familiar) faces that we will get to experience. Because I'm happy to find out about some of these franchises. I love how Frisk is in the background watching, it’s almost as if they’re thinking to either help BF get out of there or just leave the two alone and get out of there for sake of there own safety
I love the details like when Papyrus turns to dust and then becomes the phantom. Also, we have never really seen dust Sans tortured by random monster souls so this is unique! Great job!
The snow added to the transition from parts of the song is just so cool. Its the litt!e things man. The detail.. The shading.. Everything in general just looks good.
I will admit, when the ghosts of the monsters dust killed in the ruins came in, I genuinely felt unsettled. The way they sounded when they were singing, and the music being almost completely gone, and toriel just standing there staring...its was really unsettling. Also dusts eyes being red too made it more creepy.
I love the look of utter disgust on BF's face through the song. It makes him feel more engaged in the current scenario then most songs, where he's got that same cocky grin no matter the situation.
This is fucking lit man! I love how Frisk is in the background, how Papyrus is shivering in the background and dies mid song and appears to help sans, the short segment with torial and other ruins monsters, and even the tiniest detail like the arrows having a small gradient to them. I hope to see more from this mod in the future! Like, this is absolutely absurd how smooth and gorgeous this is! Good luck with the mod man! 😁
YOOO I LOVE HOW THE COMMON MONSTERS APPEAR, i swear this fits dusttale so much, it’s sad and dark and just overall creepy, this is the good side of the fnf community too, where there is true effort in mods and feedback towards the mod isn’t “oMg NiCe FnF oC, i will now proceed to attack people who dislike it”
one thing i love about sans idle stance is that he genuinely looks like he's second guessing this or sad, one thing some people get wrong is they think dusttale sans *wants* to do this, he absolutely does not. He is only doing this as a last ditch attempt to stop an endless cycle of genocides, sans still cares for his friends and loves his brother, but he feels this is the only way. Dusttale is honestly a very depressing AU

I think the creator of this mod made an entirely new BF with his own animations, sound effects, and systems which is amazing because this mod is extremely detailed by itself great job man
Everything about this song is just SO cool. I love the sprites, expressions, and gimmicks; it feels like there's an actual story progressing throughout the song. One thing in particular I just absolutely adore is how high BF sings at some parts of the song. A lot of FNF songs I've listened to kind of make me internally "cringe" slightly when it feels like BF is going to sing a high note, but he opts for the lower octave instead. Kind of a weird detail I noticed, but I love it anyways.
Love how Sans’ idle animation makes him look normal until you see the dust pile he’s standing on and the fact there’s Papyrus, who is is probably in agony sitting there before turning to dust.

Late to this but I love how in this song he doesn’t make any attempts to hurt you at least. It’s like he doesn’t want to fight you with attacks just yet because he’s not strong enough. He still needs more Lv. And I love that part where it shows those he killed, papy dying I no the background and coming back as the soul papyrus that sans hallucinations about, and just his poses just fit his broken mind. Going insane and now just killing to try to get stronger.
His eyes do turn red when he absorbs the Papyrus hallucination likely representing him gaining more EXP (which becomes LOVE with enough gained) and DETERMINATION.
He looks like he has a big regret in that face, but otherwise I think he’s chill with it, the only problem about it being the spirits won’t leave him alone.
In all honesty its scary how he looks so normal in his idle pose, the white pupils in this situation just show how unphased he is at the moment, and how he doesn't really care.

i love how his idle looks...it looks like he's trying to be his natural chill self, but the way he's looking you can sorta tell he's breaking slowly. he's not actually LOOKING at boyfriend, he's looking at his feet. he can't even keep eye contact. he only makes eye contact when he's singing. but if you look at his down emote, it looks stressed, his..."brow?" is furrowed, like just making eye contact is agonizing. you might THINK he's trying to be intimidating, but look at where his eyes are "roughly" staring at, BF's feet...again.
I love for the up animation how Sans transfers the power from one of his eyes to his other eye so it becomes the original one but red because he's winking lol.
For me, the part that gets me is at the very beginning. The piano goes from a “light” yet sinister vibe to when it drops at that final note, making you well aware that something is very wrong with our “bonafide” friend.

im a sucker for attention to detail and resemblance in songs i love the sequence where we can see the ghosts of the monsters sans killed off for EXP alongside the fact they actually sang for a bit not only that, dust sans' sprites look awesome! im not sure if anyone else caught the detail where he holds his index finger up to his mouth in most sprites, like hes aware boyfriend knows what dust did and is telling him to keep it a secret (in a horrific way, of course)
This is actually inspired by a fangame called dusttale where Sans just goes crazy killing Papyrus and Even mostly every other big Boss for us, basically his friends
So the lore of dusttale: The human keeps chosing to do genocide, which awakes charas spirit, so she "posseses" frisk. After a lot of genocides, sans finally remembers it all, seeing his brother get murdered etc, so he decides to kill every underground monster to gain enough love and determination to fight the humam
It's just a preview and it's alrealdy better than the first song of the Dusttale's mod. The details, the graphisms and the song, everything is perfect x)
Even just the down sprite for Sans is insane, it's like he is horrified at what he has done but knows it must be done and his finger is up to tell BF that he doesn't want to bring it up and relive his terrible mistake that led to genocide

This is one of the best and most haunting versions of Dust Sans. It shows what he's become in the best way possible, from Papyrus dying, the souls of the monsters from the Ruins, this is perfect.
I also like that when papyrus fully dusts away u can hear his voice while sans sings
My analysis for this is literally just normal difficulty but puts the story thats being told to something i havent seen anywhere else in the modding community: show, dont tell. Its a nice change of pace and im exited for what next possible project will be!
I feel like FNF isn't its own game anymore. Instead, I feel like its a way too take popular or non-popular characters from different franchises and incorporate them into FNF to get their popularity boosted. This worked well with Madness Combat, Eddsworld, Mouse.avi, and even small games like Zardy's Maze. What I'm saying is that this game has gone from its own Newgrounds original game, to something WAY bigger. Even in some mods BF and GF aren't even in it. Which is another reason why this game has turned into a way too make YOUR very own OC into a popular character. What I don't really get is why some people get so mad when FNF kids find out about something like Camellia. Sure it's annoying, but given enough time they'll learn that not everything in FNF is from FNF. Which is what gets small creators more fans. Community Games wasn't even talked about until FNF hit front pages! Now I'm sure Community Games had some sort of popularity before FNF. But now you've probably watched him more than you can count on your hand. If given enough time, this Newgrounds game can turn into something bigger than what we have already. I can't wait too see what New (And familiar) faces that we will get to experience. Because I'm happy to find out about some of these franchises. I love how Frisk is in the background watching, it’s almost as if they’re thinking to either help BF get out of there or just leave the two alone and get out of there for sake of there own safety
I love the details like when Papyrus turns to dust and then becomes the phantom. Also, we have never really seen dust Sans tortured by random monster souls so this is unique! Great job!
The snow added to the transition from parts of the song is just so cool. Its the litt!e things man. The detail.. The shading.. Everything in general just looks good.
I will admit, when the ghosts of the monsters dust killed in the ruins came in, I genuinely felt unsettled. The way they sounded when they were singing, and the music being almost completely gone, and toriel just standing there staring...its was really unsettling. Also dusts eyes being red too made it more creepy.
I love the look of utter disgust on BF's face through the song. It makes him feel more engaged in the current scenario then most songs, where he's got that same cocky grin no matter the situation.
I love how natural Dust's animations flow together. The swaying looks so good.

I love how Frisk is in the background, how Papyrus is shivering in the background and dies mid song and appears to help sans, the short segment with torial and other ruins monsters, and even the tiniest detail like the arrows having a small gradient to them.

YOOO I LOVE HOW THE COMMON MONSTERS APPEAR, i swear this fits dusttale so much, it’s sad and dark and just overall creepy, this is the good side of the fnf community too, where there is true effort in mods and feedback towards the mod isn’t “oMg NiCe FnF oC, i will now proceed to attack people who dislike it”
one thing i love about sans idle stance is that he genuinely looks like he's second guessing this or sad, one thing some people get wrong is they think dusttale sans *wants* to do this, he absolutely does not. He is only doing this as a last ditch attempt to stop an endless cycle of genocides, sans still cares for his friends and loves his brother, but he feels this is the only way. Dusttale is honestly a very depressing AU

Fun fact: Dusttale is not really an AU, instead it's a AT (Alternate Timeline) of the regular Undertale
The way Papyruses head's shadow makes it look like hes sad, while being penetrated by 30 bones just makes me feel bad for him

Puedo concluir que la mayoría de mods, por no decir casi todos, de fnf que estén relacionados a undertale son de una calidad increíble, superando la mayoría de mods que existen en "general" muchas veces, tanto musicalmente como en Sprites y chart.
E de decir que el mod se ve muy bien pero no creo que supere a algunos de los mods mas populares y trabajados como sonic.exe, doki doki takeover, vs tricky o uno de los mas recientes mario madness si no que diría que esta a la par con ellos

I think the creator of this mod made an entirely new BF with his own animations, sound effects, and systems which is amazing because this mod is extremely detailed by itself great job man
Everything about this song is just SO cool. I love the sprites, expressions, and gimmicks; it feels like there's an actual story progressing throughout the song. One thing in particular I just absolutely adore is how high BF sings at some parts of the song. A lot of FNF songs I've listened to kind of make me internally "cringe" slightly when it feels like BF is going to sing a high note, but he opts for the lower octave instead. Kind of a weird detail I noticed, but I love it anyways.
Love how Sans’ idle animation makes him look normal until you see the dust pile he’s standing on and the fact there’s Papyrus, who is is probably in agony sitting there before turning to dust.

Late to this but I love how in this song he doesn’t make any attempts to hurt you at least. It’s like he doesn’t want to fight you with attacks just yet because he’s not strong enough. He still needs more Lv. And I love that part where it shows those he killed, papy dying I no the background and coming back as the soul papyrus that sans hallucinations about, and just his poses just fit his broken mind. Going insane and now just killing to try to get stronger.

His eyes do turn red when he absorbs the Papyrus hallucination likely representing him gaining more EXP (which becomes LOVE with enough gained) and DETERMINATION.

I like it when papyrus passes and then comes back as phantom papyrus! It is a clever reference to the actual story of dusttale! I hope we’ll have a phantom papyrus song in chapter 2! Wonder what chapter 3’s au will be, maybe underswap? Underfell? Guess will have to wait to find out!

i love how his idle looks...it looks like he's trying to be his natural chill self, but the way he's looking you can sorta tell he's breaking slowly. he's not actually LOOKING at boyfriend, he's looking at his feet. he can't even keep eye contact. he only makes eye contact when he's singing. but if you look at his down emote, it looks stressed, his..."brow?" is furrowed, like just making eye contact is agonizing. you might THINK he's trying to be intimidating, but look at where his eyes are "roughly" staring at, BF's feet...again.

I love for the up animation how Sans transfers the power from one of his eyes to his other eye so it becomes the original one but red because he's winking lol.
For me, the part that gets me is at the very beginning. The piano goes from a “light” yet sinister vibe to when it drops at that final note, making you well aware that something is very wrong with our “bonafide” friend.

not only that, dust sans' sprites look awesome! im not sure if anyone else caught the detail where he holds his index finger up to his mouth in most sprites, like hes aware boyfriend knows what dust did and is telling him to keep it a secret (in a horrific way, of course)
Little does he know Frisk sees it all, cant tell if Frisk is thinking killing is ok right now or is suprised.

The human keeps chosing to do genocide, which awakes charas spirit, so she "posseses" frisk.
After a lot of genocides, sans finally remembers it all, seeing his brother get murdered etc, so he decides to kill every underground monster to gain enough love and determination to fight the humam
