My m2 business class with the mercedes motor is strong 1,2nd and 3rd gear 4,5th and 6th gear the power is 25-45 percent less any thoughts?? Thank you for this video!!
I mean . . I have one . . As it runs is a beaut . . but of course if I’m commenting i may have mere concerns of the same magnitude . . IS IT EASY TO SWITcH TO A DETROIT 6o?!
Hi my name is Dave I was wondering if I could ask you a question my 05 m2 with mbe900 has lack of power on the top end and it will only start on starting fluid I ask cause u actually sound like you know these awesome motors .
Dave - I am in the process of replacing the fuel pump on our 1975 OM352 engine. I have noticed that I am having to push the throttle pedal to the floor to keep engine rpm up when going up steep inclines. Hopefully replacing the pump will aid the power. Not sure just yet.
tomekgto was the loss of power in this situation sporadic or constant? My 04 mbe is skipping at 1500 rpm and losing power also. All lines are tested and good. Thinking its this problem you have here or maybe injector seat or ecm? Fuel pump is new
I work on a bunch of these frieghtliners and today one of them lost fuel pressure. I'm not getting any fuel and it won't start at all, it was running fine 4 days ago, the guys ran it and it died where they parked it and now it's not running. I was 98% sure it was a fuel pump issue but now I'm not so sure...
I am also not a master diesel tech or anything and was pretty sure it was a gear drive pump and ran off the crank or accessory belts but wasn't sure because I've never had to work on an M2 with the Merc engine. Things a POS with all the multiplexing and garbage modules failing.
Has anyone had any weird fuel leaks with this motor? I've got a fuel leak that Freightliner can't find. It seems to only leak under a load. They've checked everything, but without a load, everything seems fine. They've replaced a bunch of seemingly random parts to attempt to find it. Injector lines for #5 and #6, most of the DPF lines, the Dozer, the oil fill tube, crankcase breather tube ect... I'm now on my 9th visit to Freightliner, and they still can not find it. Everything is soaked in fuel, and when I get to a customer, it leaves a good puddle on the ground. But, without a load, it doesn't leak and all the pressures look normal. They have reached out to Detroit customer service to get any sort of guidance, but so far nobody knows. It's a 2010 MBE daycab with DPF and EGR 10spd with 650k miles. Trading it in for a sleeper DD13, but they won't take the trade until I get this leak fixed. Any ideas?
I have a 05 egr mbe4000 that is running fine when cold but looses lots of power when it warms up especially over 1500rpm, question- when you encountered this problem was it showing any trouble codes?
i have a 06 MBE engine truck, it has a check engine light. it cant start,. it only starts when i use a quick start. the pulling is very low. what could be the possible solution for this?
digstowndiesel it started off hard to start and over about 2 weeks it was loosing power on take off but would run highway speeds. The banjo fittings will give the same issues in the fuel system.
I have a problem. I have 08 freightliner mbz 460 that has a hard time to turn on but when unscrew the check valve that goes on the fuel filter housing turns right on. thanks in advance

Would you stay away from this engine or is it a good one?
It’s a hit or miss. Personally I would stay away.
Are these Mercedes engines any good ? Would you recommend purchasing ?
I like em I don’t know what else to say . . Just make sure you have a Gúd clutch

Chimwemwe Dzombe milage could be an issue. Idk without seeing it.
were any of the check engine or fuel in water lights on? thanks
Sol H no, the biggest issue was hard to start.
@@Aceswild269 awesome I just bought a step van with the 4.3 Mercedes..
Was this problem sporadic or intermittent at that time? Having a similar issue

Michael Fuhrer mine is fine at first. Then after 15 minutes it starts skipping and having a hard time going over 1500 rpm. Fuel pump is brand new.
digstowndiesel skipping like a hesitation?
Air in these fuel systems is huge! Any kind of leak or seepage can cause problems.
I have a Mercedes engine on 05 columbia
I have problem with fuel can I get your phone#

Gotta be sucking air or loosing prime some where. I hate the damn banjo fittings on these engines.
