On the lack of fanfare at the store, I do feel like AG could have done a lot better with their roll out. Like the email announcing it only had Julie's roller skates on it with a very cryptic message, and when I clicked on the link and saw Julie's new collection at the top, I only by chance scrolled down to see Addy, Josefina, and Kirsten there. I'm sure a lot of AG fans had a similar experience, some might even be getting the news through word of mouth in the coming days. I really hope that the historical collection gets more attention like this, although with better promotions.
I only bought Julie’s new stuff and didn’t even noticed they had released Addy and Kirsten. I didn’t find out until I watched a TH-cam video with the announcement!

I have a Pleasant Company version of Addy that I got off of Ebay! Even though she looks different compared to this version, I am still very happy with her! Even though I can see why some people have both versions of a doll, I don't think I would go that far. I hope not! LOL!
Hi, Kris! I actually bought an early Mattel Kirsten a WEEK before this release! (I think, kind of hard to tell. I bought her secondhand and she came in a doll hospital box. She has a PC neck stamp with an early mattel era copy of "Meet Kirsten".) and I honestly feel like I got snubbed, but It's honestly the best snub ever! I can't wait to get my hands on the rereleased Josefina and Kirsten's Bday outfit!

Please do an indeph hair tutorials video's on putting the braid's back in on Historical doll's that comes in braided hair styled and do a video on Addy's hair like you said her hair is fun to play with
Great video Kris! Would you consider doing a tutorial on how to do Kirsten's meet hairstyle? I'm going to refresh my cousin's childhood Kirsten so she can pass the doll onto her niece and I'd love to redo her hair.
The original Addy had an either an actual gourd or it was wooden but looked & felt real
When you said, “Prairie girl!”🤣 I immediately thought of that feisty girl, “Nelly,” from the show that wore her hair like that. And I only have one AG doll, (Josefina), but my daughter has six, I think. My next dream doll used to be Julie, (I was born in the ‘70’s), but now, I think I’ve changed my mind to Addy! She looks so cute with her pink dress on! And thanks for the awesome video! Had no idea about the “re-release” of these dolls!❤

I love Addy's books. I just recently purchased a NIB 6 book set from Ebay. I already have a Beforever Addy and her original meet outfit and accessories that I purchased in 2015.
I decided now was finally my sign to get Addy. I’ve wanted her for a long time, but she’s always seemed to go on the back burner until now. I got her, Kirsten’s outfit, and Addy’s outfit. RIP my wallet

American Girl has verified that the new historical releases for Josefina, Addy, and Kirsten are limited edition dolls.
I would love to see the first 6 dolls returned to their original design and to add more original outfits and accessories.
Molly and Kits birthday were also allegedly limited edition, it’s really anyone’s guess if AG keeps something or not
I sent in my original Kirsten doll a few months ago. She is a white bodied doll. But she desperately needed a new head. I realize this downplayed the value of her a good deal. But I had another from about the same time period. So I ended up with this version of Kirsten's new head. I love them both! And I am so happy I finally after 30 plus years sent my childhood doll in lol. 😀

I was last at the New York store in mid April. I want to visit the Chicago one this year. I just ordered my second Kirsten too! I may or may not get Addy in the near future. I have a similar shirt that you’re wearing but with the American girl dolls on it ❤

my pc kirsten bonnet was also super flimsy like it think theyre just Like That and indicative of early AG manufacturing trying things out like with kirstens flimsy boots
The first Addy gourds were real gourds. I can see where that would be difficult to keep up with for AG.

Def getting Kirsten because my 1995 girl had an unfortunate haircut and the doll hospital put a modern head on her. We’ve got 2 PC Addys plus her clothes. She was our gateway doll

I'm still a PC AG doll collector that said I do from time to time get AG doll 's that are simply AG😮. I probably will get the new Addy at some point. You should get the New Josefina though 😂,that again.

Kirsten was my first doll 🥹🥹🥹 the problem is she has a crack on her eye lid and half a wig left from my 8-year old self. Idk what I wanna do about her cause I don’t want to replace her head, but she does new a new wig or maybe an eye replacement? Idk what to do. Any suggestions?
Does Addy have a hair net, or is that why they boxed her with the hat already on...to protect the hair?? And is it tied up in a bun?? Thanks!!
