Love you! I get where you’re coming from. I hit the ground hard with IG this fall, hit 1000 followers, was receiving PR, and started to lose the joy. I want to post when I feel like because I WANT to. I also don’t want to live my life on social media. I love it for some of the connection, but it’s not REAL life. I was spending too much time and missing out on what was right in front of me. Take your break, and I hope you’ll start posting for YOU and find that excitement to just share when you feel like. I don’t unfollow people because they don’t post regularly. I’d rather have quality than quantity. You’re awesome!!! ❤❤

Please don’t feel like you need to change and contort yourself. YT analytics drive us all batty from time to time. But do definitely take a well-deserved break. You were going at an unsustainable pace in December and need to slow down. Even 2-4 videos a month for awhile will keep us all with bated breath. Love you, Girl! 🤗💕

Hi Gabby, thank you for sharing your feelings in this video. As someone who has been into fragrances for 30 years and been on TH-cam for 15 years, I have noticed that a lot of content in recent years lacks sincerity and feels like a sales ad. The majority of fragrance channels seem to talk about the same perfumes. However, I enjoy your channel because your channel is not like a lot of the "white noise" that is out there in abundance. You are honest, genuine, and passionate - something that is lacking in the world of TH-cam these days. I remember when TH-cam first started, the majority of the content came from people who were sharing their knowledge and passion. It's not to say that this type of content has disappeared entirely, but it is getting harder to find. Your channel is a breath of fresh air and I love hearing you describe fragrances and talk about scents that you love. I understand that you are exhausted between a full time job plus creating TH-cam videos. That sounds very tiring and you definitely need and deserve days to rest. I hope you are able to take a break and if you are motivated to make videos in the future, I will still be here to watch and support you 😊 On another note...I LOOOVE Chocolate Queen! 🤩 It's a perfect balance between gourmand and woody notes. I have been wearing it every single day since I got it 3 weeks ago. It's even getting better as it ages. I enjoy wearing it any time of day and any occasion. I even wear it to bed because I can't get enough of it 🥰 In a market where everything is smelling the same, Chocolate Queen stands apart from the rest and is unique. I found your channel about a year ago, as a gourmand lover. Only knowing designer frags.. because of your recommendations and content, I bought Girl of Now, Italica, Lira, Stricnina, & Dama Bianca, Minuet et Demi, Raised Spirts, & Chocolate Queen! I adore all of them, and love that you share not well known houses. Even my wishlist, is full of Gabby recommendations.. I trust your opinion. I appreciate you, do my makeup in the morning with your videos. I’m grateful for all your effort and content. Lol, I don’t buy anything without seeing if you have a video on it and your opinion. Over the last year, your collection has changed and it’s so cool. Because even a year ago, I got a sample of minuet et Demi and Delina. I hated them both. Here I am a year later, on my frag journey , and my nose has changed and I love them both now. I think it’s so cool we are all on a fragrance journey together finding others we identify with & each of us loves craggy for our own reason. Do what you love and what brings you joy girl. 1 video a week is more then enough , even 1 or 2 a month or less. You have to do whats best for your mental health ❤. It sounds like you're burned-out and when that happens you loose love for what you once loved. Go at your own pace , put yourself first, people can take it or leave it . People that care about your opinion will stay ❤.
Hey Gabby, you're one of my favorite fragrance-TH-camrs. Even if I discovered you just a few month ago (last summer), I liked your content so much I started to watch your videos from day one to see your whole journey. I'm so grateful for you introducing me to a lot of amazing fragrances. So my heart dropped as I read the title. But I get where you're coming from! It's a hobby and it should be fun and make you happy, not being like a second job. Take a break, do what's best for you. And just my 2 cents: There is no need to upload every day! Quality needs time, I'd rather have one video per week with a passionate creator than a new one every day and a stressed TH-camr. The community wants the creator to be happy, too! And to be honest, I have no time to watch so many new videos either. I love your honesty and really hope you get some rest, you deserve it! Gabby, please don't leave! I am addicted to watching your videos, truly, you have become my fragrance friend. Regarding lower views in December, maybe it was because people are generally busier during the holidays? I know I certainly was, things were crazy for me in December what with relatives visiting, all the reunions, work, and I had very little time to watch TH-cam in general. So don't be too hard on yourself. I never take your videos for granted; in fact, I enjoy when you talk about new fragrances I've never heard of, like I discovered Trussardi, Mula Mula, Une Nuit Nomade and so many other brands I want to try, like Theodoros Kalotinis, Argos, Accident a la Vanille, etc., thanks to you! So you are indeed a fragrance influencer in my book. Once you've gotten a good rest and some perspective, I hope you can do videos on your own terms and rediscover the passion you once had for it. I watched every single of them within one hour you posted them 😊 Your passion about fragrance ignited mine too as I have recently started my own fragrance channel. Having said that I do relate with everything you said. It's a LOT of effort in creating video as there's a lot of things (like you mentioned) involved that normal viewers don't see. You can't show up in the camera not in your best and ready to film with all your full ideas and research about the topic you want to talk about that day. There will always be clueless and bored people Gabby so just don't mind them. For sure you have a lot of smart viewers because you attract them not only with your beautiful looks but your knowledge about perfumes. Also just to let you know, I love your perfume so much that I talked about it in my channel twice. So you know, you inspire people ok?! Don't quit please as we need someone like you in the fragrance community who wants to bring something new all the time. And as for the videos you should start going back to film what you love, I know I would love to discover new things and maybe you will get new subs who the interest are more alike with yours. Hello Gabby, Thank you for sharing your feelings with those of us who follow your channel and enjoy your perfume reviews. I think some of the key things you said that resonated with me were that you are tired due to the amount of work involved in the production process; that you felt demoralized by some of the criticisms; and that you wanted to do perfume reviews that were original and not ones that follow the crowd, i.e. the same as every other reviewer is doing. I can totally understand how you feel. I also think you are an excellent reviewer who is knowledgeable, genuine and honest. Based on what you said, my advice would be: Please don't give up because you are very good at what you do and it would be a loss to the fragrance community if you gave up your channel ; perhaps you could hire an assistant (volunteer/intern) to help you with the production process (maybe a student who wants to learn video techniques or may want to have his/her own channel one day; take a break for a while and do other things that make you happy; maybe you do some videos outside where you take us along on a trip to one of your favorite perfume stores when you try new perfumes, etc. which would be something different; and lastly, please do not take the criticisms to heart because everyone in the public eye has critics. I know it's not fair, but it just goes with the territory. Don't let them rob you of your enthusiasm or stop believing in yourself because then the critics win. And we want you to win, so please keep posting your marvelous videos. Good luck and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2023!

When December hit and you were pumping out content I was excited and then thought oh no that’s gonna cause a massive burnout. BUT now it makes sense why content is critical in December. I can relate to so many points you mentioned Gabby, especially the one about never having a day off. These days I’m only posting videos when I really feel like it, as opposed to viewing TH-cam as a job that I stick to religiously. I found that committing to 2 vids a week was too exhausting for me, and took the fun out of it at times. TH-cam is one of the most challenging things I’ve done and it requires so much work!
Awww Gabby, big hug from York. You know your people and we are here to see what you have to say about niche fragrances and designer fragrances and to see the amazing stuff you have been sent and to hear about perfumes we might otherwise not hear about. I get that the algorithm is a b*tch and many youtubers are frustrated by the shifting numbers of views and the sheer entitlement some viewers display. I get it and it must be really annoying. But some people will be like that no matter what you do, some people think you are producing a video on fragrances and you are automatically their personal fragrance consultant. What can I say, maybe just ignore the obnoxious comments and questions and emails? I bet many of them won‘t even remember they sent you an email at 5am, they probably sent 20 to various people and won‘t even notice whether you respond or not. Your time is precious and you decide whether you want to respond or not. I totally get you have to be realistic. This is not your job, you invest a lot of time and effort and it feels like it is not appreciated. BUT YOU ARE WRONG. WE LOVE YOU and we are here for your content and to discover new and exciting niche (and if there are some exciting ones also designer) fragrances. Keep at it but do what you want to do, don‘t let anyone or anything dictate what you do. And forget about the numbers, whatever you get from adsense is probably not worth the hassle, I bet. Focus on your own enjoyment, which fragrances you love and which you don‘t and your community will be here for you if you decide to share that with us.
I love your honesty here Gabby and I think it shows how genuinely tired you are. I say do it for you. Yes this is a community but people do take things for granted. The more you give the more they want to take and the more they demand. I’ve discovered amazing fragrances because of you, I think you are very honest and knowledgeable and truly passionate about perfume. Take the time you need, creativity will flow again. This shouldn’t feel like a job, even if it kind of is. It should make you happy. 🙂 I appreciate your time and effort and I’m very happy with everything you’ve accomplished. I'm glad you started your channel! You do describe perfumes well!👌 Although I'm happy to hear how well thought out your videos are maybe you can dial it back. Some of the things you were doing before when your channel was smaller are no longer sustainable now that you are bigger. You do not owe people anything and should not put pressure on yourself to be as responsive as some people expect. Maybe setting some boundaries with your channel/audience will relieve you of some of the pressure. You deserve to enjoy and share your passion for fragrances without people's expectations weighing on you. Burnout is a real thing and it's okay to take some time for yourself!💗💗💗

Guilty as charged! I haven't watched many of your newer videos because they feature niche bottles straight on the front page and I tend to automatically skip niche videos. I thank you for your honesty, obviously you find niche far more interesting (than designers) and are interested in sharing your new finds with your viewers. You also don't like to feature discontinued/"old" fragrances - I love vintages and donot mind "unfashionable" or old fragrances e.g. Organza, Venezia, Dolce Vita, Babydoll, Yvresse etc. being featured on TH-cam at all - you can still find them for sale on the net. In fact, these golden oldies are some of my favourites. I think you find your inspiration discovering niche and sharing it with your viewers. If this makes you happy, maybe just keep on doing what makes you happy. As for questions of price, maybe feature some indie brands, Carthusia, Fragonard, Riva del Garda, that are not so "common", but affordable, unlike what is commonly regarded as niche (e.g. Bond, Tiziana Terenzi, Parfumes de Marly, etc).
Oh Gabby...PREACH GIRL 🙌 I started TH-cam last year as a hobby, I have 3 jobs, one my own practice, a family, including a young child. I work my butt off. Yes TH-cam is fun and worth it (to me), but I had NO idea the amount of money, work, and time it takes. It's insane! Not what it appears at all. But I hope you never leave bc I love your channel and fragrances SO much ❤ But at the end of the day, unless you have a gigantic channel, it is a hobby you work hard for, and you have to weigh the pros and cons. Perhaps cutting back on videos per week or taking a break might be an option? We love you and I hope you stick around! Know you aren't alone 💕

Gabby, I (and at least 20,000 others) enjoy your channel and your style very much. Perfume has always been simply another part of getting dressed for me, but before TH-cam, I did not know how many options other than designer fragrances were out there. Your channel is one that I know will always provide information not just about what the notes are, but what the fragrance smells and feels like. I have purchased a lot of new fragrances these last three years, but not nearly so many that were not for me because I had good information. Where I live, Alaska, the winters are long and cold and dark. January seems to be the hardest month to get through. Seems like spring will never come. Holidays are over. Hard to find energy to be enthusiastic. Take some time to appreciate yourself and what you have accomplished - but don't forget us! Spring does come eventually.

You’re one of my favorite fragrance TH-camrs and it would be sad to see you go! I say you take it slow and post about the fragrances that interest you bc you will definitely have a following since you have such great taste!
(It's a long one so don't read if you don't have time) Usually don't have time to write comments because I can't be short but I had to on this video. You are hands down my favourite perfume content creator because I have related to you the most out of everyone that I've watched and I absolutely love the variety of perfumes that you have provided on your channel. I also feel like I have grown with you on my perfume journey because I was getting into perfumes when you had started your channel and then I got into niche after you did. Even though I have no idea what it's like to be a youtuber I can also relate to people in my life not having interest in unpopular niche perfumes. All my friends were obssessed with my collection in the beginning and constantly asking for recommendations or to smell some of my fragrances. And when I got into niche they would only care about the very popular ones. If I showed them a penhaligon's or navitus for example they would say they liked it a lot but didn't really care about getting it because if it's not ysl or chanel or BR540 or Delina then it's irrelevant to them even if it smells amazing which is so bizarre to me. So many people I feel like have the hype mentality where they will only get interested in checking something out if it has been mentioned from many people or the brand is popular. If you were to change your content to please the masses you would get views but you probably wouldn't enjoy making videos. I also understand how some people online like to treat others and it's so sad. Some like be negative about everything whether it's leaving bad reviews on everything for no reason or critising you for receiving pr because they don't know you and decide to assume the worst from you. There's always gonna be people like that even if you are the most honest and transparent person. The people that watch you regularly and love you can tell how you really are and will always appreciate it and the negative ones will never fully go away. You should probably take a break and come back whenever you feel passionate about making videos without that taking all of your free time off. I couldn't tell you what videos people would love to watch the most because I love seeing anything from you (hauls the most of course but I understand if you feel like going on a no buy). But I can tell you that the community of people that you've created is very appreciative of your work and the influence you've had on many people's perfume journeys is immense. It is fine to change your content if you feel like making different types of videos or quitting if that's what's best for you. I love you and make sure you do whatever makes you happy regardless of what people expect from you.

This video touched me so much because I have been feeling the same way, people really don’t realize how much work we put behind the scenes, and how much money it takes to have a channel like this, even though we enjoy perfumes, that doesn’t mean that we have all the free time in the world in a team behind us, taking care of everything. I agree a lot has changed in the past two years and maybe it’s because we’re no longer in lockdowns but it’s sad, I remember when I first started seeing a couple of people quitting and I couldn’t understand how they were doing that since they already had a little bit of the following, but now I understand 😢 you are one of those channels that I started watching in the beginning of my journey, and you inspired me a lot. But beyond anything you deserve to be well and happy and not get yourself sick. I know you probably have goals that you want to achieve in your life always put you first. 🤗

I also think I can relate in some ways to the way you feel right now, because I got burned out some time ago. I think it is so important to stop sometimes, like you do right now, and reflect on what it is that drives us, that make us happy, to take care of ourselves and to try to slow down and find a balance in life that will make us happy - but it sure is not easy! I remember your first video, when you sat on the floor - I subscribed in a second, because your passion for perfume was so genuine and your descriptions spot on. I'm not surprised you're tired after your huge effort in December and all the extra pressure of the launch of CQ. Maybe have a break, post less often and stick to what you are passionate about, perhaps don't worry about the algorithm. I think then you'll feel the spark again. It can be easy to become frustrated, annoyed, or sort of tired and fed up for various reasons. I know firsthand 😆. I actually took a 2 month ish break where I barely posted anything perfume related because I simply seeded a break. It had been 2 solid years and I was just - sort of over it a bit 🤷🏻♀️. Well, now I feel 100% renewed and I’m so glad I didn’t give up completely. I’ve only just started watching the video so now to finish. ❤️. I sincerely hope you stay!

I always genuinely look forward to watching your content Gabby, I could always see that you are a hard working fragrance content provider. I thank you for that. Maybe you could just diminish the amount of videos you do, like provide one video per week or even one every two weeks, or even one per month, or one whenever you feel like it instead? Just a thought, because the most important thing is to enjoy what you do, and not to feel too much pressure, especially since this is basically a hobby for you, it should always be fun. Therefore, Whenever you do decide to post a video, subbies like myself will be very thrilled and have something to look forward to. I find this happens to many content reviewers a lot. They post a lot and work so much that they just stop cold turkey because it becomes too much. I think the reviewers doing TH-cam as a hobby, that post at random times through out the year or whenever they feel like it, are much less tired. If you decide to leave, you could always take a break and come back. I love the niche videos, Gabby, even if I cannot afford some of it! Your videos are unique and resonate with hard-core fragrance lovers. We don't need to hear about the basics anymore. People who are starting their "fragrance journey" enjoy watching the "top-10-designer" kind of videos but us, old-timers, prefer your unique style of videos!
Gabby, please don't leave! You are the only TH-camr I watch every single video of! We really appreciate your honesty and that you are always so real and open with us. For me, personally, 5 videos per week was also too much. I think 1-3 videos a week would be perfect as most of us also have full-time jobs. Also, I feel like people also like more interactive videos like the one you did with your friend where you had to guess the perfumes. First impressions videos are also interesting to watch, even though the opinion about those perfumes might change later on. I Would love to see those types of videos once in a while. I believe you could make fewer but more diverse videos so that you can have better engagement. Also, I think you should totally be paid for this job as it's a lot of hard work, so don't be afraid to accept sponsored offers or to ask to get paid for featuring the perfumes. There is no way a youtuber can last without doing this! You can totally take a break for a while but please come back! 🥺😭❤

I want to post when I feel like because I WANT to. I also don’t want to live my life on social media. I love it for some of the connection, but it’s not REAL life. I was spending too much time and missing out on what was right in front of me. Take your break, and I hope you’ll start posting for YOU and find that excitement to just share when you feel like. I don’t unfollow people because they don’t post regularly. I’d rather have quality than quantity. You’re awesome!!! ❤❤

Hi Gabby, thank you for sharing your feelings in this video. As someone who has been into fragrances for 30 years and been on TH-cam for 15 years, I have noticed that a lot of content in recent years lacks sincerity and feels like a sales ad. The majority of fragrance channels seem to talk about the same perfumes. However, I enjoy your channel because your channel is not like a lot of the "white noise" that is out there in abundance. You are honest, genuine, and passionate - something that is lacking in the world of TH-cam these days. I remember when TH-cam first started, the majority of the content came from people who were sharing their knowledge and passion. It's not to say that this type of content has disappeared entirely, but it is getting harder to find. Your channel is a breath of fresh air and I love hearing you describe fragrances and talk about scents that you love. I understand that you are exhausted between a full time job plus creating TH-cam videos. That sounds very tiring and you definitely need and deserve days to rest. I hope you are able to take a break and if you are motivated to make videos in the future, I will still be here to watch and support you 😊
On another note...I LOOOVE Chocolate Queen! 🤩 It's a perfect balance between gourmand and woody notes. I have been wearing it every single day since I got it 3 weeks ago. It's even getting better as it ages. I enjoy wearing it any time of day and any occasion. I even wear it to bed because I can't get enough of it 🥰 In a market where everything is smelling the same, Chocolate Queen stands apart from the rest and is unique. I found your channel about a year ago, as a gourmand lover. Only knowing designer frags.. because of your recommendations and content, I bought Girl of Now, Italica, Lira, Stricnina, & Dama Bianca, Minuet et Demi, Raised Spirts, & Chocolate Queen! I adore all of them, and love that you share not well known houses. Even my wishlist, is full of Gabby recommendations.. I trust your opinion. I appreciate you, do my makeup in the morning with your videos. I’m grateful for all your effort and content. Lol, I don’t buy anything without seeing if you have a video on it and your opinion. Over the last year, your collection has changed and it’s so cool. Because even a year ago, I got a sample of minuet et Demi and Delina. I hated them both. Here I am a year later, on my frag journey , and my nose has changed and I love them both now. I think it’s so cool we are all on a fragrance journey together finding others we identify with & each of us loves craggy for our own reason.

Regarding lower views in December, maybe it was because people are generally busier during the holidays? I know I certainly was, things were crazy for me in December what with relatives visiting, all the reunions, work, and I had very little time to watch TH-cam in general. So don't be too hard on yourself. I never take your videos for granted; in fact, I enjoy when you talk about new fragrances I've never heard of, like I discovered Trussardi, Mula Mula, Une Nuit Nomade and so many other brands I want to try, like Theodoros Kalotinis, Argos, Accident a la Vanille, etc., thanks to you! So you are indeed a fragrance influencer in my book. Once you've gotten a good rest and some perspective, I hope you can do videos on your own terms and rediscover the passion you once had for it. Your passion about fragrance ignited mine too as I have recently started my own fragrance channel. Having said that I do relate with everything you said. It's a LOT of effort in creating video as there's a lot of things (like you mentioned) involved that normal viewers don't see. You can't show up in the camera not in your best and ready to film with all your full ideas and research about the topic you want to talk about that day. There will always be clueless and bored people Gabby so just don't mind them. For sure you have a lot of smart viewers because you attract them not only with your beautiful looks but your knowledge about perfumes.
Also just to let you know, I love your perfume so much that I talked about it in my channel twice. So you know, you inspire people ok?! Don't quit please as we need someone like you in the fragrance community who wants to bring something new all the time. Hello Gabby, Thank you for sharing your feelings with those of us who follow your channel and enjoy your perfume reviews. I think some of the key things you said that resonated with me were that you are tired due to the amount of work involved in the production process; that you felt demoralized by some of the criticisms; and that you wanted to do perfume reviews that were original and not ones that follow the crowd, i.e. the same as every other reviewer is doing. I can totally understand how you feel. I also think you are an excellent reviewer who is knowledgeable, genuine and honest. Based on what you said, my advice would be: Please don't give up because you are very good at what you do and it would be a loss to the fragrance community if you gave up your channel ; perhaps you could hire an assistant (volunteer/intern) to help you with the production process (maybe a student who wants to learn video techniques or may want to have his/her own channel one day; take a break for a while and do other things that make you happy; maybe you do some videos outside where you take us along on a trip to one of your favorite perfume stores when you try new perfumes, etc. which would be something different; and lastly, please do not take the criticisms to heart because everyone in the public eye has critics. I can relate to so many points you mentioned Gabby, especially the one about never having a day off. These days I’m only posting videos when I really feel like it, as opposed to viewing TH-cam as a job that I stick to religiously. I found that committing to 2 vids a week was too exhausting for me, and took the fun out of it at times. TH-cam is one of the most challenging things I’ve done and it requires so much work!
Awww Gabby, big hug from York. You know your people and we are here to see what you have to say about niche fragrances and designer fragrances and to see the amazing stuff you have been sent and to hear about perfumes we might otherwise not hear about. I get that the algorithm is a b*tch and many youtubers are frustrated by the shifting numbers of views and the sheer entitlement some viewers display. I get it and it must be really annoying. But some people will be like that no matter what you do, some people think you are producing a video on fragrances and you are automatically their personal fragrance consultant. What can I say, maybe just ignore the obnoxious comments and questions and emails? I bet many of them won‘t even remember they sent you an email at 5am, they probably sent 20 to various people and won‘t even notice whether you respond or not. Your time is precious and you decide whether you want to respond or not. I totally get you have to be realistic. This is not your job, you invest a lot of time and effort and it feels like it is not appreciated. BUT YOU ARE WRONG. WE LOVE YOU and we are here for your content and to discover new and exciting niche (and if there are some exciting ones also designer) fragrances. Keep at it but do what you want to do, don‘t let anyone or anything dictate what you do. And forget about the numbers, whatever you get from adsense is probably not worth the hassle, I bet. Focus on your own enjoyment, which fragrances you love and which you don‘t and your community will be here for you if you decide to share that with us.
I love your honesty here Gabby and I think it shows how genuinely tired you are. I say do it for you. Yes this is a community but people do take things for granted. The more you give the more they want to take and the more they demand. I’ve discovered amazing fragrances because of you, I think you are very honest and knowledgeable and truly passionate about perfume. Take the time you need, creativity will flow again. This shouldn’t feel like a job, even if it kind of is. It should make you happy. 🙂 I appreciate your time and effort and I’m very happy with everything you’ve accomplished. I'm glad you started your channel! You do describe perfumes well!👌 Although I'm happy to hear how well thought out your videos are maybe you can dial it back. Some of the things you were doing before when your channel was smaller are no longer sustainable now that you are bigger.
You do not owe people anything and should not put pressure on yourself to be as responsive as some people expect. Maybe setting some boundaries with your channel/audience will relieve you of some of the pressure.
You deserve to enjoy and share your passion for fragrances without people's expectations weighing on you. Burnout is a real thing and it's okay to take some time for yourself!💗💗💗

Guilty as charged! I haven't watched many of your newer videos because they feature niche bottles straight on the front page and I tend to automatically skip niche videos. I thank you for your honesty, obviously you find niche far more interesting (than designers) and are interested in sharing your new finds with your viewers. You also don't like to feature discontinued/"old" fragrances - I love vintages and donot mind "unfashionable" or old fragrances e.g. Organza, Venezia, Dolce Vita, Babydoll, Yvresse etc. being featured on TH-cam at all - you can still find them for sale on the net. In fact, these golden oldies are some of my favourites. I think you find your inspiration discovering niche and sharing it with your viewers. If this makes you happy, maybe just keep on doing what makes you happy. As for questions of price, maybe feature some indie brands, Carthusia, Fragonard, Riva del Garda, that are not so "common", but affordable, unlike what is commonly regarded as niche (e.g. Bond, Tiziana Terenzi, Parfumes de Marly, etc).
Oh Gabby...PREACH GIRL 🙌 I started TH-cam last year as a hobby, I have 3 jobs, one my own practice, a family, including a young child. I work my butt off. Yes TH-cam is fun and worth it (to me), but I had NO idea the amount of money, work, and time it takes. It's insane! Not what it appears at all. But I hope you never leave bc I love your channel and fragrances SO much ❤ But at the end of the day, unless you have a gigantic channel, it is a hobby you work hard for, and you have to weigh the pros and cons. Perhaps cutting back on videos per week or taking a break might be an option? We love you and I hope you stick around! Know you aren't alone 💕

Gabby, I (and at least 20,000 others) enjoy your channel and your style very much. Perfume has always been simply another part of getting dressed for me, but before TH-cam, I did not know how many options other than designer fragrances were out there. Your channel is one that I know will always provide information not just about what the notes are, but what the fragrance smells and feels like. I have purchased a lot of new fragrances these last three years, but not nearly so many that were not for me because I had good information.
Where I live, Alaska, the winters are long and cold and dark. January seems to be the hardest month to get through. Seems like spring will never come. Holidays are over. Hard to find energy to be enthusiastic. Take some time to appreciate yourself and what you have accomplished - but don't forget us! Spring does come eventually.

I will be sad if you quit but everyone needs days off. If you decide to continue I will still watch even if you post less often. It’s hard to not burn out when you put so much time in. (It's a long one so don't read if you don't have time) Usually don't have time to write comments because I can't be short but I had to on this video. You are hands down my favourite perfume content creator because I have related to you the most out of everyone that I've watched and I absolutely love the variety of perfumes that you have provided on your channel. I also feel like I have grown with you on my perfume journey because I was getting into perfumes when you had started your channel and then I got into niche after you did. Even though I have no idea what it's like to be a youtuber I can also relate to people in my life not having interest in unpopular niche perfumes. All my friends were obssessed with my collection in the beginning and constantly asking for recommendations or to smell some of my fragrances. And when I got into niche they would only care about the very popular ones. If I showed them a penhaligon's or navitus for example they would say they liked it a lot but didn't really care about getting it because if it's not ysl or chanel or BR540 or Delina then it's irrelevant to them even if it smells amazing which is so bizarre to me. So many people I feel like have the hype mentality where they will only get interested in checking something out if it has been mentioned from many people or the brand is popular. If you were to change your content to please the masses you would get views but you probably wouldn't enjoy making videos. I also understand how some people online like to treat others and it's so sad. Some like be negative about everything whether it's leaving bad reviews on everything for no reason or critising you for receiving pr because they don't know you and decide to assume the worst from you. There's always gonna be people like that even if you are the most honest and transparent person. The people that watch you regularly and love you can tell how you really are and will always appreciate it and the negative ones will never fully go away. You should probably take a break and come back whenever you feel passionate about making videos without that taking all of your free time off. I couldn't tell you what videos people would love to watch the most because I love seeing anything from you (hauls the most of course but I understand if you feel like going on a no buy). But I can tell you that the community of people that you've created is very appreciative of your work and the influence you've had on many people's perfume journeys is immense. It is fine to change your content if you feel like making different types of videos or quitting if that's what's best for you. I love you and make sure you do whatever makes you happy regardless of what people expect from you.

This video touched me so much because I have been feeling the same way, people really don’t realize how much work we put behind the scenes, and how much money it takes to have a channel like this, even though we enjoy perfumes, that doesn’t mean that we have all the free time in the world in a team behind us, taking care of everything.
I agree a lot has changed in the past two years and maybe it’s because we’re no longer in lockdowns but it’s sad, I remember when I first started seeing a couple of people quitting and I couldn’t understand how they were doing that since they already had a little bit of the following, but now I understand 😢 you are one of those channels that I started watching in the beginning of my journey, and you inspired me a lot. But beyond anything you deserve to be well and happy and not get yourself sick. I know you probably have goals that you want to achieve in your life always put you first. 🤗

I also think I can relate in some ways to the way you feel right now, because I got burned out some time ago. I think it is so important to stop sometimes, like you do right now, and reflect on what it is that drives us, that make us happy, to take care of ourselves and to try to slow down and find a balance in life that will make us happy - but it sure is not easy! I remember your first video, when you sat on the floor - I subscribed in a second, because your passion for perfume was so genuine and your descriptions spot on. I'm not surprised you're tired after your huge effort in December and all the extra pressure of the launch of CQ. I completely get where you’re coming from, but just know that there are so many of us out there that really appreciate your content, and even if you post once a month or whenever you feel inspired and motivated to do it, we’ll be here eagerly waiting for it :)
I always genuinely look forward to watching your content Gabby, I could always see that you are a hard working fragrance content provider. I thank you for that. Maybe you could just diminish the amount of videos you do, like provide one video per week or even one every two weeks, or even one per month, or one whenever you feel like it instead? Just a thought, because the most important thing is to enjoy what you do, and not to feel too much pressure, especially since this is basically a hobby for you, it should always be fun. Therefore, Whenever you do decide to post a video, subbies like myself will be very thrilled and have something to look forward to. I find this happens to many content reviewers a lot. They post a lot and work so much that they just stop cold turkey because it becomes too much. I think the reviewers doing TH-cam as a hobby, that post at random times through out the year or whenever they feel like it, are much less tired. If you decide to leave, you could always take a break and come back. I love the niche videos, Gabby, even if I cannot afford some of it! Your videos are unique and resonate with hard-core fragrance lovers. We don't need to hear about the basics anymore. People who are starting their "fragrance journey" enjoy watching the "top-10-designer" kind of videos but us, old-timers, prefer your unique style of videos!
Gabby, please don't leave! You are the only TH-camr I watch every single video of! We really appreciate your honesty and that you are always so real and open with us.
For me, personally, 5 videos per week was also too much. I think 1-3 videos a week would be perfect as most of us also have full-time jobs. Also, I feel like people also like more interactive videos like the one you did with your friend where you had to guess the perfumes. First impressions videos are also interesting to watch, even though the opinion about those perfumes might change later on. I Would love to see those types of videos once in a while. I believe you could make fewer but more diverse videos so that you can have better engagement. Also, I think you should totally be paid for this job as it's a lot of hard work, so don't be afraid to accept sponsored offers or to ask to get paid for featuring the perfumes. There is no way a youtuber can last without doing this!

You are one of the first TH-camers I started watching when I discovered my love for perfumes. I enjoy watching you and I really wouldn’t want you to quit (yes, for selfish reasons, because watching your videos gives me joy), but perhaps take a month off and recharge your batteries, set boundaries, and see if you’d like to come back. People definitely take you for granted. Don’t worry about people getting offended. Know you’re not offensive and you can’t make everyone happy, it’s beyond your control. Lots of love to you Gabby. ❤️

Absolutely gutted. Your videos are great, the way you describe fragrances is brilliant and totally on point. It would be so sad if you give up now after you've come so far. There is always 1 or 2 small minded people but the majority of people watching are supportive and genuinely nice people. Please take a break and recharge and hopefully you'll feel differently after a rest ❤️
Hi Gaby I love your content including your personality, taste and fragrance description, I’m sorry to hear about your burnt out, it must feel like being in a hamster’s wheel and not being able to slow down and take a break. I think one of the problem you are facing is that you cover mostly niche and most people don’t do niche that’s why they don’t appreciate some content. I wish you could stay on your own terms but if your heart is not in it than is better to leave. Best of Luck 😘
