I am 50 years old and BOD is the GOAT player from Ireland in my time watching. He is also up there with the best 13s of all time. I really enjoyed his early days due to his blinding pace. He lost that later but his all round game improved to make up for it. But wow that pace and break was amazing.
Probably my favourite player ever. Would have loved to have seen a Welshman as talented as him to play for us for all those years. Truly unbelievable player. Slightly disappointed in the way it's been harped on about him being dropped for that Lions Test. I get he was disappointed but I feel he should have left it at that and not spoken so much about it.

B.O.D. unfortunately comes across as a huge egotist and player who believes far too much in the over the top publicity which has surrounded much of his personal achievements to the team and the great success in a team which he was part of both with Leinster, Ireland and the Lions in cup competitions, six nation test matches and on tour. Being interviewed by a teammate in Keith Wood certainly did not help in keeping him grounded and objective which centred far too much on personal glorification and inflation of a player who was only able to become a successful pirate in his finishing and provision of opportunities for teammates because of the largely unsung graft and selflessness of those other squad and team players.
