- This is probably one of the coolest announcements I've ever made. Years ago I designed a computer mouse, today that design is finally a reality and together with 8BitDo we have launched it onto the world. Watch the video and find out what it's all about!

How happy I am to know this thing comes true! I've been in love with this design since I first saw it many years ago. I'm a retro gamer at heart, a design lover, and my first gaming console was a NES... so you can imagine the rest.
It's good to know that a company like 8Bitdo takes care of the production, they're trully awesome.

Used negatively charged wood, burns backwards. Starts like ashes and coals, ends up as beautiful boards in the end.

I got this mouse today and have to say it's quite fun to use, I'm glad you had this idea back in '08 and actually managed to make it a reality after all these years!
The only "issue" is that it's missing the middle click, if you're ever working on an updated version would it be possible to have a double tap on the scroll wheel activate a middle click? Most touch sensors for stuff like bluetooth headphones these days can easily interpret multiple gestures differently, so that should be able to be fitted in now more easily than back in 2019, and would be a great addition to an otherwise already great mouse.
Still, I'm very glad you made this. I needed a mouse for my Steam Deck when it's docked so I can interact with the linux environment more easily and this mouse fits the bill perfectly while also looking pretty. The middle click is thankfully not that important for my uses on the Deck, so it's not a deal breaker in any way.
Just thank you so much for pushing/ warp the design to production. 8bitdo amaze me every time great stuff :)
Someone should write a game in the NES style where this controller is 'required' to play.

Congratulations Daniel! I would submit Clarke's 3rd law is what you have achieved on your long journey to a great product. Nicely done! I've had my controls set for the heart of the sun, since 68' but little did I know that it would take until 86' with an intentional near miss and firing the retros that the voyage home would end up 35 years before I left this morning. I've gone out to find myself. If I should return before I get back; please keep me here. I warp, therefore I am. 6 thumbs up!

I wish it was Bluetooth... I can't spare the USB port... Beautiful! It's one thing to make your design, so satisfying. I can't even imagine how would it feel to see your own vision as a product.

Very cool mouse! I have one that I use with a pi 3 in a retro NES case with 2 wireless NES controllers. Works well for retro games that needs a mouse. Mostly I use my NES pi3 as an Amiga with my external Amiga USB keyboard. I have 2 wired USB NES controllers as well so that I can have 4 NES controllers connected in order to play 4 player Amiga games on my retro little retro box... Its been around a year since I have put this gem together and the mouse is the crown jewel in my micro retro NES setup... Just need to get the NES mousepad too

Congratulations on successfully WARPing reality to bring this inspired design to the world as an official (er, unofficial) product! I was trying to think of a way to use this on an original console, but I should have considered the emulator and button remapping first. (Duh!)
