Words hurt
I hope that Julia and her mother can have a better relationship in the long run. The ending was good and breathtaking.
I love this movie. Thank you. :)
I'm glad you like it
First of all after the mother threw all of Julia's friends out If I were Julia I would have just left with them. Then I would have told that witch to go to hell.

This is some really bad writing. The whole notion of Julia talking to her sister like her mother talks to her is heavy handed and lacks truthfulness. And there should be no reconciliation. This mother is a piece of garbage. Get to graduation, move out and never look back.
@TheAfterschoolSpecialist, realized after seeing this several times that this story could've been told as an afterschool special multiple times with each having totally different outcomes. This Julia got lucky in realizing what we call now intergenerational abuse. A lot of people don't. Either they continue the cycle of abuse in their own family. Or they become so hurt, and lack the help and guidance they needed, that they grow up traumatized to the extent that they cannot see there ever being a solution to the abuse. Not for them or anyone else. This at least had a positive outcome, where Julia realized the cycle of abuse, that she needed help and her mother Elenore smashing that plate at the end was very good symbolism for breaking that abusive cycle. Seen so many people in my life who lived through this sort of emotional abuse. Sadly, they really couldn't be friends because they never got help and couldn't trust people. Hope that Julia here gets quality help and is able to trust others and herself.
Spot on as usual! Thank you for watching and commenting.

What's with the weird split screen?
www.youtube.com/@TheAfterschoolSpecialist/about
@@TheAfterschoolSpecialist Oh well it is difficult to watch for us older people. I LOVED these growing up and just wish it was available in full screen. It is just almost impossible to watch in a half a screen. Ty for at least uploading them, but it's very hard to watch for those of us with older eyes lol. :)
If you're attempting to watch them on a phone, then you may need to use a computer monitor. Invariably, this may not be a good fit for you. There are several other channels devoted to afterschool specials.
Can you please upload Summer Switch?
It's scheduled to be uploaded next month.
