Every once in a while I would do a search for this episode on TH-cam & today this came up. You have made my weekend! You have made my 2024. I always said that if I had ever got the chance to meet Kyra Sedgwick in person, I was going to ask her what Pearl Bailey was like.
There's a video here on TH-cam that's a promo for A Modern Fairy Tale from the early '90s. ABC re-aired AMFT as a 2-part episode on ABC's Weekend Special around 1991 or '92.
@@TheAfterschoolSpecialist I bet when people saw A Modern Fairy Tale in 1993 found out that AMFT premiered in 1985 probably thought it was dated. 1993 was so different than 1985 in terms of pop culture and the way teenagers dressed and acted.

ABC replayed afterschool specials a lot as weekend specials. We've even seen replays on HBO and Disney.
