Wow! So great. I have Pluto in Leo with my Moon and Sun and this is the first time I have heard about "everything always taking so much time" - and indeed I experience that far too often! One of my favorite opera moments is the aria Possente Spiritu in Monteverdi's Orfeo. During this aria Orfeo charms Charon to take him into the underworld so he can rescue Euridice. I have performed this aria on triple harp several times (big harp solo) one of my favorites being during performances in the Salzburg Festival. The aria is like a meeting between Pluto and Venus!
: ) Thank you for another great lesson Christopher.

Having a big fat cry at the end of this wonderful storytelling. I saying to someone recently as it’s my Chiron return and Pluto’s dance macabre is playing out in my 7th, I feel like I’m being reborn and it’s extremely painful. Thank you Christopher, this gives me strength and greater resilience. As a Cancer rising, I truly carry home within. 💕As Pluto entered Cap in 2008, I gave birth to my amazing daughter that has special needs, my marriage ended mid transit and as we come to the end, my older sons are leaving the nest. Please be gentle in these last few retrogradations Pluto 🙏❤

Oh Kim, I hear ya girl. I also have Cancer rising as do my twin daughters, 26 all of us in the 7th house. I haven't felt safe in "Earth School" terms anyway, since 2009 when we lost our home as a lot of people did. My heart goes out to you, but I do know, we all made a choice to come here when we did. Once I surrendered and I mean completely, I found Peace amid all the pain. Christopher's storytelling today reminds me again even though I FEEL this everyday. Earth School duality, but also can bring great Beauty.

Yes, as you know, Christopher I am (past) groaning with the Pluto return to my rising sign🙄; I get the “need” to go through an ordeal (again?!) in order to transform. Still, it’s like being made to do it (again?!) that just makes me not want to re-live what I’ve learned, though I now appreciate it, but it is like, why (again?!)?😱 However, I do appreciate your insight as to Hades’ coolness as he interacts with people; he could be angry with things, but he is not. Hmmmm🤔, with the fact/task that the (returning) ordeal is to remind me that the ordeal is to involve evolution. Thank you!!

I am Capricorn 29 with Scorpio Asc. 25. Pluto conj my Sun and at the same time squaring my S. Node Aries 5th h conj Chiron and N. Node 29 Libra 11th. My natal Pluto also in 11th h. My Cap stellium in the 2nd house squaring Pluto (except thankfully the Sun) Mercury, Mars, Moon and finally Sun. My 3rd house is in 0 Aquarius. It has been a long and painful ride... Being a Saturn Plutonian helps me understand those energies but it was hard stuff that I know I needed to reveal my true self, my purpose and realize that the true wealth is within me. My value and my talents. I am cutting cords with the past. Found out that I am a round peg not fitting in this square hole. Just at the point of coming out of the cocoon. I ve killed every part of me a thousand times. At a soul level I know I ve accepted the challenge. I am coming out of the Underworld soon. Return to innocence..

Pluto has been transiting my natal sun in the 8th house for years and years now. I really thought it was going to kill me, especially when I got COVID long haul. I mean, maybe it still will, but I'm still here. I've been laying in bed for a couple years, frustrated at having no life anymore and not seeming like much of a future. But there's been a subtle shift in the Plutonian experience this past year. I'm starting to feel like instead of destroying me, it's working an angle of self-empowerment. I'm can't say for sure, since I'm still in the middle of it (but interestingly, the shift seems to be happening around the time that Pluto has finally surpassed my natal sun, even though it's gonna continue to back over it like a dump truck for a while to come, but at least he's not hovering right on top, anymore). In fact, I've been starting to feel like I'm in the cocoon phase where I'm now just dissolved caterpillar guts trapped in the dark with no clue what is going on, but there's this faint possibility now hinting that I might just emerge as a butterfly?
If I could attribute this impression to anything, it's that dealing with Pluto is having all your illusions shattered. Which sucks really hard, because man survives on hope. But the rose-colored glasses adjustment to the gray color of the brutality of reality eventually shifts your vision to what is real. And there really is a power to seeing things as they are, including yourself. I wouldn't really wish it on anyone. But it's like the Universe sitting your butt down in a time-out, and the time-out is so long- past the chagrin, past the frustration, past the antsiness, past the despair, the grief, the cynicism- like, it's the time factor that makes the ultimate shift, because you just can't run away from it. There's nowhere to run and you're just stuck with yourself until you can finally come to an agreement with what you don't like. Like the old saying, "Wherever you go, there you are." It's almost like a years-long meditation, where you slowly out-wait the fluctuations of the mind until you finally come to this still place of power within, but created instead as a full-bodied, life experience. I wouldn't have ever thought of Pluto this way, but now that I've been living it, it's integrating into my consciousness. I don't know about the past life angle, as I had been dealing with a lot of past life stuff all before the Pluto transit and almost none during. The Pluto transit has felt a lot more like a black hole, to me. The place where you're stuck outside time and space, getting turned inside out.

Dear Christopher and astrology hub, thank you so much for this episode. The experience of a relentless Pluto deconstructive process into finding one's truth or path (or even carrying generational trauma) is overwhelming. I feel that when I explain it, no one cares to listen because it is so frightening the possibility that it might happen to them if they dare look. So, the fact that you here so compassionately explain the ways in which it can happen, without judging, was very supportive for me. Even though we never met, it is like "OK, this friend gets it and can honor me."

Astrologers tell me I'm Plutonian...I really just want to enjoy my life but I am still trying to figure out how. I never feel at home anywhere and have been travelling my entire adult life, so I definitely carry home with me, but it's still hard. Thank you for this espisode. 💜

Thank you for this 🙏 my Juno is at 29 capricorn, 8th house. I got married in 2008 when pluto was at O degrees. We divorced in 2021. Im curious what this retrograde back over my juno may bring..

Pluto conjunct my 27 Cap Moon, while Neptune has conjunct my Pisces Sun, has been humbling, insightful, deepening, soulful, and more challenging than I anticipated. And yes, the feeling of being punished has come up on several occasions over the past year.
One more conjunction awaits in the coming months. Perhaps this transformative process will then reveal its ultimate gift. Thank you Christopher for beautifully articulating this Plutonian inward process from a mythological perspective..

Thank you for your work on Pluto and this teaching. Being a co-Capricorn and someone who lightly writes about mundane astrology, I have watched and tried to learn the expressions of Pluto in practical terms during the Cap transit. I have appreciated your presentation of the Hades story with extra characters. What Pluto will effect from 29 deg. r to 27 deg. r Cap and back again may be spelling finito to systems and structures we have already seen brought asunder but there are some stragglers who have resisted the msg that the past is not coming back (diehard extremists in D.C., for example). World leaders who were finished but tried to hold on for a comeback and new vote. But Pluto is literally dragging them offstage. Pluto is telling the recalcitrant cohorts who have refused to give up, that they must or go home. The point of extremist weather and radical land mass changes has been made. Now systems have baked in accommodating that as the new normal in deed as well as words. So in Aquarius, next year and onward, I see the people, in groups or masses, "change" the way they do civics locally to internationally and Middle of the Roader will think they have escaped Hades. They won't vote the traditional way - this is the cleaning out; the people are changing themselves. As to the big one that is never addressed, I watch the ruined system of Education. Collapsed under rules and regulations meant to bring it down so technology (Uranus) could prevail. But it isn't a desired system. Pluto represents its fracture - I believe. It seems education will be taken apart at the administrative level in Pluto's Aquarius; it has already started. Little Red Schoolhouse pods of social gatherings for simple learning and some technology for research. After some of the "Rs" have been achieved, maybe students will move from 8th grade to Trade School and later maybe college or some variance of this of their own choosing, but it will be better because it has been simplified for the people with less governmental interference or the people won't play. That is how I see Pluto in Quarius expressing until almost 2040 . We are entering a rejuvenating, uplifting phase - very beautiful.

How can I be almost looking forward to this next 6 months after your poetic prophetic charming reconciling rendition with words & images of what is & has been the experience of prolonged almost-but-never-given-death/hell, to recent promises of imminent rebirth, & now to see it as ok (even a relief) to sink back into where unnamed prolonged agony taunted me so long, accompanied only by my lonely fevered prayers. Could it be this time will help bring a balm to even those past times as I tread with increasing sure-footedness onwards & backwards but ever further along this long road home?
    Thank You Christopher ❤🍀🙏🏽

Once again you explain so well the dynamics of the moment. I decided to try to figure out why I almost died when I discovered Astrology and Pluto. With ♑️ sun, Mercury and rising he has been having fun with me since that fateful time in 2018 - and my entire world has transformed since he entered Cap in 2008.

minute 35 on is so poignant - life on earth is about "working with" the transits - with my grand square in the last 4 cardinal degrees this last path of Pluto through my 5th having squared my moon, then Sun and now Mercury and Neptune it has been a roller coaster. Working with transformation I am reminded of the song "Immortality" by the Bee Gees, sung by Celine Dion. th-cam.com/video/bZolfKgW5Is/w-d-xo.html

I swaer to goodness. Every time I listen to you, it seems as if you are speaking directly to me. Last time Plito entered Capricorn, my husband of 30 years walked away from the family. He moved thousands of miles away. After a 6 month period, I decided that I could either stop living or move forward. I moved forward. Took a promotion at work, took another one, bought a car, got my house in order, and now, I am my own woman about to retire. Along the past 8 yrs, life has happened, and I dealt with each occurrence by myself! So, i say to Pluto, come on ,dude." I am nowva different person, and I am smarter, braver, and stronger than I was the last time you entered my life. Thank you ,Christopher. I have been dreading Pluto again. But after your talk, I realize that I have nothing to fear.

Colorful and meaningful helpful and yet bittersweet. My natal pluto is exactly conjunct natal Venus in a stellium with Lilith sun Mercury and south node in Leo 11th house.
It’s very familiar story of transformation of my life through or including all I have loved. Death and rebirth long periods of time readjusting and then it happens again. Leaving everything behind changes with the pluto transits are always serious but it’s become a lifting up process making me move into areas that helped me achieve freedom from pain and acceptance of God as my guiding light and help all through my life.
Since Saturn and Neptune are conjunct in my first house natally I thank God they are positive influences to my pluto/Venus transformative influences.

Thank you Soooo much for this wonderful teaching about Pluto. I learned so much and can see that my last trip to the underworld was when I lost my mom, 2 1/2 years ago. I am in the painful Ascent process now. It really helps to see my journey in the light of a journey to Hades. It validates the ordeal. I would like to say to others out there who are not sure they can make the journey back, that being broken doesn't mean necessarily that a greater wholeness is not possible. In fact, I have been broken many times and have become more whole as a result. I like to think of it as Elizabeth Lesser calls it in the title of her book, Broken Open: How Difficult Times Can Help Is Grow. Christopher, I do appreciate the lack of judgement you communicate regarding the outcome of the trip to Hades... and, for me trusting the process does help me to be open to the possibilities in the Ascent and return. Of course, there are also times when I have questioned whether I would survive and whether I would want to continue. At those times, being honest about how I am feeling is as important as the times when I feel better about the process and can trust this transformational time. Hope this is helpful. 🌺🌺🌺

Having an illegal amount (4) of planets in Pluto, I can personally describe the planet as the butterfly. One must go into the underworld (Chrysalis) to find solitude, to process the necessary change to emerge (butterfly) into the new light in a more knowledgeable, beautiful way. The butterfly knows this and embraces the beauty of the new world with excitement as it flutters it's wings without fear for it understands that without the process life cannot emerge in a new way. Do not fear pluto but embrace the butterfly.

Aqua rising here: we had pluto in aquarius for 2 months. so it was a preview of what we get next year. I felt a heavy waight when pluto was in my ascendent. and bossy people. Also people stalking and demanding what i should do. i am not ready for that pluto transiting for 20 years in my ascendent. so now when its back in capricorn i have a litle rest in my job and everywhere.
