Good explanation of a Yod. I have 6 - yes, 6 - of them in my natal chart. Really explains the experience of it. The only way to deal with it, in my experience, is to surrender deeply and constantly adjust. Being attached to any outcome is fatal to the intention. Ugh. Not easy energy to handle!

That said, as I've gotten older, I experience the wider orbs. I just stay in dialogue with each planet/asteroid each day...
One of the reasons Chris Renstrom is a legend is bec he not only understands astrology and its history well and can convey it for those uninitiated, he is also very literary minded and his tangents convey more allegorically than for instance, Rick Levine's (wonderful as well) but often too standardly archetypally minded approach. Renstrom's gift and it sounds like his background in theater is on display in pieces like this and these TH-cam pieces are sort of their own educational art form. I don't always agree with him on what a transit may mean or their significance which he can overstate (with dramatic flair) but as a man and teacher educating the community, he is one of a kind.

Oh Christopher, you've done it again. You have put your finger right on the information that has eluded me for clarity. I have a Yod in my Chart pointing to Saturn in Aries which means its a karmic promise that my soul wished me to learn by going through it. In June /68 Saturn was quincunx Pluto/Uranus in Virgo & quincunx Neptune in Scorpio. I happened to be born with my poor moon opposite Saturn too. (boomerang YOD) which is one of the most challenging Yod's that you can have. I can tell you that the aversion (to avoid what is real) due to forcing a vision, an obsession, or a want/ desire has been strong in my life. I often get blindsided acting on something to quickly or pushing my agenda or forcing my will and once I get it, I realized its not what I really wanted or it was not what I thought it would be. The universe has protected me a few times by using outright rejection (so I will back off) Later, I see the truth and thank my angels. I have begun the process of allowing my ego (willpower) to rest while I look at what is right in front of me to openly accept it for what it really is and explore how I feel about it before I act. If I do this, miracles happen. The universe leads me to exactly what I needed and it is often for my greatest good. I bring the deep intention but the FORM it arrives in, I would have have never thought of it on my own. It comes right out of left field but I "know" its right when I see it or hear it. I am 56 years old and finally allowing the script I have been living by to blow away in the wind along with my old life. I have pretty much been stripped down to bare bones so that I could see what ELSE is available. The possibilities that I may have missed. Did I mention that my Saturn in Aries is in my 12th house. My angels drop leads...and I follow. (but it looks like I am trail blazing on my own) LOL. I still have my Moon in Libra. I am here to learn to lead and follow. (both) when the time is right.

This I can't wait for. I have no Yods in my chart, but I know a half a dozen that do have one, or even 2 Yods. One that has 2 Yods have both in Venus and Jupiter with Pluto, other the same but with Saturn. Destruction, rebirth, expansion, hard lessons in matters of the heart. Why it took me so long to see it is beyond me, but I finally did. Firstly I had never had heard of one until maybe 2016. Yods are so, fascinating to me. Placements we get in our chart are no mishap, just purpose and intent. What we had coming from past life actions, in part. Looking forward to your rundown on such. It's blowing my mind just how much this talk resonates - it actually resonates physically. I was in convo with someone not too long ago whose Sun and Venus are quincunx to mine, and I noticed that at certain points in the convo, they actually averted their gaze to look at their hands or something else even. It made me wonder whether the person and I were energetically matched and it's something I'm still turning over in my head.
So interesting! HAVE to have it, SHOULD have it, COULD have it (and their associated gazes). I'm feeling all of those, possibly all at once. I can see how these would cause discomfort, as there will never be a fit. Yes, it's uncomfortable. Always have to remind myself to surrender and remember that this too shall pass. As fate will resolve these energies, and there will be balance in the end.
Who first wrote about the “Golden Yod” ? (two 144 & one 72 degree aspects instead of two 150 & one 60 degree aspects). I find the Golden Yod especially interesting because it is based on 72 which is 1/5th of 360…and 5 is symbolic of humanity 360 symbolic for God.
I read that if there's an opposing planet to the 'focal' one (Mars, in this case), that it somehow facilitates in that 'fated' process (i.e. release)??

I have a yod in my natal chart that I’ve never really understood so today’s lecture brought so much light. Thanks, Christopher! I can see many events in my life happening as they should (let’s call it fate) but my insistence for a different result (or perhaps resistance, the finger of god is my ASC in Taurus) often means a tremendous waste of energy and a certain sense of frustration. In the end I accept the results and I’m glad they happened but the clarity you gave today means an opportunity for reflection on the battles worth fighting. If the results are always the same, which situations I could accept right from the start?

I have a yod Mars on the MC,to Neptune 3rd Saturn 4th .Pluto activated it 2010 What happened that day was beyond belief everything changed,13 years later I can only conclude it was truely the hand of God that pointed something that had been until that time hidden.

Fascinating! I know exactly that feeling when someone averts their gaze. If I know them well, the immediate response is "what?" Coz there's something. And they might obfuscate, but you know there's something. Sometimes, they're just bored, or self-involved of course. The gaze is a very interesting concept, and this idea for astrology is intriguing.

I am looking to move to an apartment closer to my son and granddaughter in another city 2 hrs away. My income is low and am not on HUD, yet. I can't believe how much rent has increased. 😳 I am moving forward in Faith/good karma and the fact my credit score is high and I have never been late with my rent. Emotionally i have already moved but am VERY aware of hoping to not be too much of a polly-anna in this whole process. At least my apartment is getting a Great clean and organizing job. I have 3, and I know for sure one of them was activated. An unusual incident occured that brought out a Psychic-Medium ability that changed my life. Im obviously very curious what the other 2 will be. I have an idea of what will occur with the next activation, but I'm unsure of when it will take place. Finding a You is easy. Let's say you have the Sun in Gemini. Go to the zodiac sign opposite Gemini which is Sagittarius. Let's say you have nothing in Sagittarius but you do have a Jupiter in Capricorn and a Mars in Scorpio. That's a You which is basically an iiscsceles triangle. So the formula is look to see if you have planets in signs flanking the sign opposite the planet you're looking at. If you do you have a Yod. But the orb is usually pretty tight - like 2-3 degrees. 🙂
So the focus point is the SUN. Mars and Jupiter opposes the sun. So Jupiter and Mars will work together to find a way to meet the Sun. Am I understanding this correctly.
That was fascinating, and now I have to watch that series. Lol I experience thing like this in my life, no matter how hard I try sometimes I just can't get things to happen, but if I just accept it will turn out however it is going to makes it easier to accept. Sometimes good and sometimes not. The YOD in my chart is Pluto in Virgo in 3rd and Neptune in Sagittarius in 5th pointing to Sataurn in Aries in 10th. And with Saturn is Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Chiron with North Node in same sign but a few degrees away in Aries but in 9th house.

I have Sun and Venus at the apex in my 12H Gemini. The stuff that I want to have and the stuff that I actually have doesn't match up. Lots of unfulfilled desires. Partial success. Many times had to settle for less craving those desires that seems to be denied from me by fate (but others have it easily since young and I have a sense of futility) makes me quite sorrowful and bitter.

One that has 2 Yods have both in Venus and Jupiter with Pluto, other the same but with Saturn. Destruction, rebirth, expansion, hard lessons in matters of the heart. Why it took me so long to see it is beyond me, but I finally did. Firstly I had never had heard of one until maybe 2016. Yods are so, fascinating to me. Placements we get in our chart are no mishap, just purpose and intent. What we had coming from past life actions, in part. Looking forward to your rundown on such. It's blowing my mind just how much this talk resonates - it actually resonates physically. I was in convo with someone not too long ago whose Sun and Venus are quincunx to mine, and I noticed that at certain points in the convo, they actually averted their gaze to look at their hands or something else even. It made me wonder whether the person and I were energetically matched and it's something I'm still turning over in my head.

So interesting! HAVE to have it, SHOULD have it, COULD have it (and their associated gazes). I'm feeling all of those, possibly all at once. I can see how these would cause discomfort, as there will never be a fit. Yes, it's uncomfortable. Always have to remind myself to surrender and remember that this too shall pass. As fate will resolve these energies, and there will be balance in the end.

Who first wrote about the “Golden Yod” ? (two 144 & one 72 degree aspects instead of two 150 & one 60 degree aspects).
I find the Golden Yod especially interesting because it is based on 72 which is 1/5th of 360…and 5 is symbolic of humanity 360 symbolic for God.

I have a yod in my natal chart that I’ve never really understood so today’s lecture brought so much light. Thanks, Christopher! I can see many events in my life happening as they should (let’s call it fate) but my insistence for a different result (or perhaps resistance, the finger of god is my ASC in Taurus) often means a tremendous waste of energy and a certain sense of frustration.
In the end I accept the results and I’m glad they happened but the clarity you gave today means an opportunity for reflection on the battles worth fighting. If the results are always the same, which situations I could accept right from the start?
I got an angular Yod pointing to my 1H, and ya’ got to look at transits, progressions, and synastry opposite the peak of the Yod.

I have a yod Mars on the MC,to Neptune 3rd Saturn 4th .Pluto activated it 2010 What happened that day was beyond belief everything changed,13 years later I can only conclude it was truely the hand of God that pointed something that had been until that time hidden.

Fascinating! I know exactly that feeling when someone averts their gaze. If I know them well, the immediate response is "what?" Coz there's something. And they might obfuscate, but you know there's something. Sometimes, they're just bored, or self-involved of course. The gaze is a very interesting concept, and this idea for astrology is intriguing.

I am looking to move to an apartment closer to my son and granddaughter in another city 2 hrs away. My income is low and am not on HUD, yet. I can't believe how much rent has increased. 😳 I am moving forward in Faith/good karma and the fact my credit score is high and I have never been late with my rent. Emotionally i have already moved but am VERY aware of hoping to not be too much of a polly-anna in this whole process. At least my apartment is getting a Great clean and organizing job. Christpher, I admire your knowledge but I like you even more as a person. I am a sun Capricorn, ruled by saturn and I have several other planets jn Capricorn.
I had 4 exes come back in the past day...I had to look to astrology. This explains it...and am giving them another chance, but so far, not a fit.
My mercury in cancer 4th house sextile pluto in virgo 6th house and both are 150 degree to jupiter in aquarius 12th house. I try to figure out what it can mean🤔

Finding a You is easy. Let's say you have the Sun in Gemini. Go to the zodiac sign opposite Gemini which is Sagittarius. Let's say you have nothing in Sagittarius but you do have a Jupiter in Capricorn and a Mars in Scorpio. That's a You which is basically an iiscsceles triangle. So the formula is look to see if you have planets in signs flanking the sign opposite the planet you're looking at. If you do you have a Yod. But the orb is usually pretty tight - like 2-3 degrees. 🙂
So the focus point is the SUN. Mars and Jupiter opposes the sun. So Jupiter and Mars will work together to find a way to meet the Sun. Am I understanding this correctly.

I experience thing like this in my life, no matter how hard I try sometimes I just can't get things to happen, but if I just accept it will turn out however it is going to makes it easier to accept. Sometimes good and sometimes not. The YOD in my chart is Pluto in Virgo in 3rd and Neptune in Sagittarius in 5th pointing to Sataurn in Aries in 10th. And with Saturn is Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Chiron with North Node in same sign but a few degrees away in Aries but in 9th house.

I have Sun and Venus at the apex in my 12H Gemini. The stuff that I want to have and the stuff that I actually have doesn't match up. Lots of unfulfilled desires. Partial success. Many times had to settle for less craving those desires that seems to be denied from me by fate (but others have it easily since young and I have a sense of futility) makes me quite sorrowful and bitter.
