Super Cool! Emotional for me and I didn't turn a wrench on it. It's a super airplane. Congratulations seven years late.

What was the reason the plane was 'heavy on controls'? Is it by design or some other issue?

  • @tpsu129

Does that count as a prop strike?

An RV-10 would be the perfect kit plane if they started using the Rotax engines...

It’s an experimental acft, use what you want. Vans builds the kits for Lycoming but there are PLENTY of examples of people using other engines....but if you were a fan of Vans, you would have know that; the RV12 does use a Rotax.
On their website, they go into some depth about the engines and why Lycoming; in case you care... go here..... www.vansaircraft.com/powerplants/

I THINK THR RVS ARE STATICALLY AND DYNAMICALLY STABLE THEREFORE HVY. ON THE CONTROLS....."Live long and prosper"

The RV series are incredibly light on the controls. Very big control services. The majority of them are also aerobatic. This is coming from my time in a 6 and a 10.

You can tell these are plane people, they all look to be over 60 years old.

What would have really sucked is to have developed some kind of health issue while building the plane.

8 years? Get less of a life, bro!

+P4cooler1 I meant it as it took a long time, because life was getting in the way. Not a insult, like "get a life".
