Hi just came across, your channel. Up in Aberdeenshire, just bought a blue MT07. Also got a RE 350 Meteor. , and Honda Rebel 500, which I now need to sell, since buying the MT. Good luck, with the channel.😊
thank you so much! yeah for sure gonna fix that for next vid.. can’t seem to get it quite right yet haha. either too low or too high 🙄 glad to see you stuck around from the first vid, means a lot!!:)
🎉 Lovely first video and great scenery too 😁 Good information too on the 125 cc. You're sense of humour is lovely too.. We enjoyed the Gas station part 😁.. Keep up the vids 👍
hahahaha, thank you so much!! can’t say i enjoyed the gas station part 🤣 really appreciate that, can’t wait for you to see the next vid, even better scenery coming soon!
nice chatty vlog :) I learnt on an MT07 and now ride a CBR650. Personally i think you should make content that you want to make and not what people want to see you'll enjoy making it more then and you won't be as worried about will this or that video do really well or fail and then stress about why it failed etc.
@@KirstOn2wheelz I did a DAS course and went straight to my A1 licence and found them to be very similar in power, the MT07 has a more upright position to the CBR and if i remember correctly (i can barely remember yesterday and i passed 6 years ago) the MT07 has gear indicators while my CBR does not, but I prefer the look of the faired bikes to naked ones. If you're considering a CBR go have a sit on one to see how you feel about the position vs the MT07.
No idea how I found your channel, but great stuff all round. Keep you eyes peeled for my green meanie pootling about there. I try and nod wave to as many bikers as I can. As a new rider myself, its a great feeling being on two wheels. Ride safe
thank you so much! will defo keep an eye out for your green meanie, ninja is it?!👀 best of luck with your biking journey, i’m loving mine so far! ride safe!:)
Decent fun vlog. It's fun to see a new rider discover all the stuff us old buggers have ;^) I feel your pain with the closed petrol station. The disbelief "are they shut?" Repeat hehe. Been there. Once had one closed and then the next (according to TomTom) was no longer a petrol station at all so I ended up out of fuel and calling the AA. Embarrassing and annoying. And then you get range anxiety for the rest of your life... Doh!... Another reason low capacity bikes are best ;^) Some advice if you're up for it: - Your bit rate seems low. Even at 1080p, try and choose high bitrates when recording, editing and outputting and you'll get less blockiness. There are advised settings for TH-cam. It could be the low light as well though, which is just hard to deal with no matter what. Lower camera angle. Less sky and some bike is a good view and also the camera will get more detail if it isn't trying to expose for the sky too Maybe chest mount so we don't get so much swinging-head-cam - You do need to look around of course, but it can make people feel ill. The newer cams have better steadying, but we can't all have those I know. The mic is fine and clear, but sounds a bit boomy when the visor is shut. In winter it's hard to keep it cracked, but it does sound more natural as the sound isn't trapped inside your helmet. Maybe consider using the camera audio for bike/ambient sound and the microphone as a separate recording you add on in editing? More complex but part of the fun (?) Using voice-over afterwards is actually ok depending on the vid type. If you're 'narrating' a ride, rather than chatting as you ride, it's ok. It's also easier as you can concentrate on riding at the time and later edit the vid exactly how you like without worrying about where/when you were talking. I like the captions, but you might need to leave them up a little longer. If they are longer, people can pause I suppose, but might want to be tapping screens or clicking mice too often. As much as I like saltiness, the 'bad' language will mean TH-cam limits you. Annoying, but there it is. Good stuff! Keep it up! Haven't done one in a while, myself - must get out there...
thank you so much! haha yeah, petrol was an absolute mare! i have awful range anxiety already but, getting stranded with no petrol is my worst nightmare. yeah i completely agree with all that advice! in my most recent vid i managed to fix the quality and gopro angle. will take everything else into consideration for sure though! really appreciate all the tips i can get, it’s a learning curve for sure.. especially with the language!🤣
Great start to a channel, it’s always nice to see a channel start and watch it progress. Don’t change what you are doing, you have captured yourself and your personality and that’s what will attract viewers. Make your videos to what you like and don’t try to make them thinking it’s what the viewer want to see. Keep going, only you can stop yourself now 💪🏻👍🏻
ah thank you so so much!! that really means a lot to me🫶 you have some really cool bike vids yourself, would love to do some of the bike trips you have done in the future, switzlerand looks class😁
@@KirstOn2wheelz Switzerland was stunning but I found the great routes are quite short, the 3 main passes you can do in a couple of hours. Vosge area of southern France is amazing. We are doing the Pyrenees mountains in July so looking forward to that. Have you got a destination you would like to do in the next couple of years? You should pick one and commit to doing it, honestly European tours are so addictive. You’ve already beat any insecurity by starting your channel, aim high and achieve your dreams.
Got another outer hebrides bike trip booked with my dad for next year, so excited for that! Italy has some reallyyyy nice roads so would love to get to Italy eventually, something I’d definitely need to work towards though as it would be a rather big trip, wouldn’t mind riding a Panigale through the Italian Alps!! Congrats on your first vlog, nice to hear a fellow Scot and reasonably close to me out vlogging. Your confidence will grow and hopefully your channel also
Just vlogging as you ride on scenic routes is fine ! Most of us react in some way when we see Police vehicles, personally I’d recommend going on the Police run 1 day BikeSafe course which is not only a good safety course but it lets you appreciate how professional and skilful Police motorcyclists are. It’s also fun 🤪 going out on a ride as part of the course and having a Police bike tail you for several miles. It is said the best way to get over any phobia’s you have is to face your fears !

Great videos so far and looking forward to seeing a lot of the roads you have the pleasure of riding, Scotland has the best biking roads I've ever been on. If you ever decide to do a track day, the James Whitham ones are fantastic, really friendly with low numbers and really top class racers doing the coaching, they even do one at Knockhill which I'm hoping to get over too next year. This was fun to watch😊 I´m a soon 1000 year old man, and even if you haven´t ask for it...i will still give you some advice: Stay away from use of bad words on YT...it will help your channel grow faster because of filters and stuff that regulated the algorythm. I know it´s common to use some chili-words occationally, but it will not help you in the long run😉 When coming to a left curve, especially at daytime, try to stay right in your lane, that will help you to see what´s coming around the corner earlier so that you can be prepaired much earlier, Driving at night (as you don´t like) is actually often easier than daytime because you know if there´s a car coming because of the lights....especially important while driving on narrow roads. I think your channel will grow pretty fast, if you keep those movies posted and find important/interesting content going. I have driven motorcycles for many years...just sold my -89 Honda VT1100 Shadow, and have decided to buy a -25 Honda NC750X-DCT in april. It might be useful to start learning the free version of Davinci Resolve so that in the future you can record in LOG format and do the image processing as a step before editing ⛽⛽⛽

I think you would be better on the track on your own bike. You will learn a lot more about it's real handling which is useful for the road. Knockhill might do courses for the track on their bikes although I'm not sure. Keep it shiny side up...🏍

Re. content ideas: I think your experiences as a young rider (and I guess female too might still be less than usual?) are interesting in themselves. Try and experience all the aspects other riders are experiencing, but tell us how it feels from your point of view rather than just from some kind of anonymous 'reviewers' point of view. As a 'quite' old man it sometimes feels that there are pretty much only old men out there riding and so the type of content we see is usually appropriate to us I suppose, but something from your angle is more interesting in many ways. I would hope it is encouraging to other young people to try riding too, which would be good.
