    I have one like that and the .223. Just got the 300 Win Mag 24” threaded this weekend. I love them

    Slick gun, it would be even nicer if it was the AAC-SD heavy barrel version. Makes that 20" barrel really pop and increases the rigidity even more!!

    Just got my rem 5r back today. They sent a new rifle out instead of replacing the bent barrel. To bad the new rifle came with a chipped stock and what looks like 100 rounds worth of wear on the bolt and grease and grime all over the rifle. It got sent back again. all i want is the rifle i paid for like yours. Dont think its to much to ask for.

    Nice rifle man! I got the same set up but blued not the stainless. First thing I did was toss out the stock and put a quality stock on mine. I hate that hogue stock that came with it. Then I got me a Leupold 6x20-50mm Mark 4 scope. Harris bipod, new bolt knob, unipod for the comb piece, got me a nice scope cover and crown protector to carry it when I'm out shooting it and last but not least kestrel shooter wind guage. Got my dope all set for it with 175gr sierra ammo. This thing is killer. Hit 1000, going to start the build on my next rifle to hit a mile. Have fun out there!

      @LionWolfTactical  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Bro! Man your rig sounds like a really nice piece of kit! That Mark 4 has lots of great feed back! How do you like the scope? I totally agree about the 1000 yards. Lots of people think a 308 needs more than 20Inch to hit 1000 yards, and its just not true. 20 inch barrels are totally fine for 1k yards, I've seen 16 and 18 inch yards reach out to 1k. The times we even shoot to 1k is so small, that buying a rig thats geared for 1k and beyond doesn't make sense, and haven a 1k yard max is fine with me and my style of shooting. This Rifle is Amazing. I am considering buying a Accuracy International Stock, but possibly saving up for the new Army Sniper rifle, as Remington has made it available to public.
      Thanks for watching bro!

      LionWolf Tactical the scope can handle anything. It's tough as nails. A buddy helped me set up my rifle, he's an army sniper soon to start working as an instructor. He shoots the .308 or for longer shots the 300 Win Mag, so all his dope is set for those two calibers. He's taken the Mark 4 scope through two tours and it always held up so it's battle tested, definitely worth the money.

      This is not a houge stock. The 5r comes with a high quailty Hs percision stock

      By your own description you don't have the same rifle. Sounds like you have a regular 700. Not a 5r milspec. Quite a few differences.

    I Love this rifle! I hope it is as accurate as mine! I don't know if these are hit or miss since they are mass produced, but hopefully it's a 1/2 moa rifle.

    Nice, don't know how much yours cost, I think I got the poor Mans version. Just placed an order for 20inch SPS Tactical 308 heavy barrel 1:12 Twist yesterday. I wrestle with the idea of getting 1:10 Twist, but I am shooting 110, 147grain to 165grain max, and people told me I will be fine with 1:12. I also decided to put it on a Bell and Carlson stock and not even bother with the factory stock. Yes I place an order for Timney Trigger the same day. After all the upgrades, I guess its really not a poor mans version anymore. At least I already have the Nikkon 308 scope and Atlas bi-pod for it already, so a little saved there.

    • @LionWolfTactical
      @LionWolfTactical  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey John, yeah man the sps tactical is a very nice rig, you can't go wrong with if, other than the 5r rifling and the 1:11.25 twist rate, our rifles are essentially the same, give or take. But poor man? Not by any means!
      Timney trigger is a nice trigger, that nikon shoot get the job done, and the stock you got is reviewed nice as well. Mine came with the HS Precision, which I like, so if I do change it will be for a Accuracy International, but am in no rush to do that.
      You will love your SPS, and will be able to reach out and touch anywhere in a 308's range, 800 meters and in, even 1,000 yards, but I would stay 800 yards or under.
      Chances are you wont go over 500 yards often Ahah!
      Thanks for watching, let me know how yours shoots bro'

    great rifle man, I got the same rifle with the 24 inch barrel to get a little more velocity and full performance out the cartridge. Also didn't need a suppessor thread, since I never plan on using one. Great choice man hope your enjoying it. Also 20 inch is fine and such and will get you to 1000 just in my case I perfered a little longer to get a little less drop and keep the speed up a bit:)

      How you enjoyed your 5r so far? I find mine to be exceptionally well put together and really capable. Even with cheap 7.62x51 ZQIs at walmart get around a inch which is wonderful. Sure with smks or more quality ammo be well under sub moa.

      @LionWolfTactical  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Landry Jones Oh Man, I love it. Very durable, reliable, accurate, and a joy to shoot. Especially now, since I add recoil butt pad, and flash suppressor, both which helped extremely well with recoil, and makes follow up shots and following the round much easier. Plus, my shoulder isn't killing me after 2 hours of range time anymore. lol Hows yours? How far you bring her out yet? 300 yards? 100? 1000? hah

    Nice. I went with the 24". What optics did you mount? I put a Leupold Mk 4 L/RT M1 variable power on mine, same as the M24. A little pricy, but I really like the mil dot reticle. As well I got a really cool B&T Industries Atlas bipod. Again, a little pricy but they are really cool. You'd need to mount a bottom rail as well.

    • @LionWolfTactical
      @LionWolfTactical  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man,
      Yeah I went with 20 inch due to both usability of a threaded flash hider or suppressor and still being easier to maneuver with either installed, plus a 20 inch is perfect for 800 meters and in. I put a primary arms FFP which works great, but will he going with a nightforce or mark 4
      I also put a pachmayr butt pad on
      How you like the rifle?

    • @LionWolfTactical
      @LionWolfTactical  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I put a Timney trigger, a Pachmayr Decelerator Slip on Butt Pad, Primary Arms 4X14X30mm FFP scope, Harris Bipod, 308 Threaded Flash suppressor, butt stock pouch that has a cheek weld, pouch, and spot for 6 rounds. So far that's about it.
      I will be upgrading my scope and stock and getting a silencer one day.
      Thanks for watching man !

  • @JamesIbby

    Nice !!! does it have a detachable magazine ? also how is the recoil on it. whats the difference between a longer barrel or the 20. Im thinking of getting this or the cz 550 predator, because the CZ already has a scope on it? any suggestions or advice

    • @LionWolfTactical
      @LionWolfTactical  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks for watching. It doesn't have detachable mag, it has a bullet insert.
      The recoil was pretty rough before I added the flash hider and softer butt pad, but more than manageable either way. I like a comfortable rifle, so I'm not thinking about my shoulder but focusing on my target and sights.
      20 inch is perfect for the capabilities for a .308 caliber. Some go with 22-24 inch for .308, you will gain roughly 100-200 fps with those, but its also heavier and less flexibility when maneuvering. If you don't plan on going past 800-1000 yards, there is no need for anything more than 20inch, plus you can put a silencer on a 20 inch and after will just be the same length as a 24 without silencer, so another benefit .
      You want to go further then 1000 yards? Go with a different caliber, like .338 Lapua or .300 WIN
      Hope that helped!

    • @LionWolfTactical
      @LionWolfTactical  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would definitely recommend It, and no issues outside of the recall they had with the triggers. However, I haven't shot it enough to give a longevity review worth any real facts, but from the rounds I have put through it, the only 2 downsides are cost per round and the kick on your shoulder lol! Thing is sub moa for sure! Aha!

      joshm416 I have visited a friend in Vancouver a few times and yeah, I was surprised. He took me to a few gun shops, and they pretty much had the same stuff as gun shops where I am in Texas. The only thing I thought sucked was that handguns and AR's are "restricted" which meant we couldn't just go out in the bush and shoot them.

    Would you recommend this rifle in a .223? Because i really want a good, accurate, and reliable remington 700 with a 20-22 inch (heavy-ish) barrel. im stuck between this and the sps tactical. Also, is the twist in .223 1:9 or is it the weird 1:11.25?

    • @LionWolfTactical
      @LionWolfTactical  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Zach! I believe the 223 is 1:9 twist rate, and I would recommend it in 223, if you don't plan on going long range with the need for penetration at distance.
      However with a 75 grain or 77 grain you can reach out and hit something with fair penetration at distance.
      I chose the 308, because it's just more capable at long range for most proposes.
      But, if 223 would be good for your usage, I say go for it. Keep in mind an SPS tactical is a very accurate and dependable rifle, and you will do well with it.
      Thanks for watching!
