Thanks for the video. Creators like you help to educate us but also make using our drones more fun. With that said, I'm confused about a few things. Maybe you can help clarify. After watching your video, I read the comments and your responses. Here's my questions/comments. Please correct me if I'm wrong. You mentioned that while using the C1, the video quality reduces to 480. That's because you're screen recording, right? Someone also asked about removing gridlines, and you mentioned that you can't (because it's a screen recording). In another comment, you mentioned that after recording, you would have to sync in post. I guess my question is........ if you have to sync in post and record in a lesser quality with gridlines, why bother with this set-up? Just because it plugs into the controller? If you have to sync in post anyway, you might as well get a wireless mic that doesn't jack into the controller and allows you to record in better quality. Thoughts?
I recently bought this wireless mic, for my dji rc controller , how ever I can not get it to start recording . How did you get the mic to engage and record?
Sounded good, but I don't understand how it works. What device are you recording the audio to? And how are you syncing it with your video? When I'm using the controller, my video is being recorded to the drone. But I don't see that the audio is being recorded there.
put a sd card in controller, put the usb c reciever in controller, turn on the controller, turn on the transmitter, start screen recording, now its with audio. the sync them together let the drone take you in focus, clap in your hands. in postproduction the clap is your syncpoint 👍
Didn't the Mavic 2 pro have an on-board RC mic that recorded on the video, ? Will the audio file have to be laid over the video? Or will it work same as the Mavic 2 pro
I’ve got a dumb question about this 🙈. Is the audio being recorded on to the sd card in the controller and the video on to the sd card in the drone? If so, how do you synchronise the 2 together?

You sync it in post production, like Premiere Pro, KineMaster, or whatever you use to edit your videos. Hope that helps!
Can you possibly use the apple airpods connected to bluetooth? ive used them on my android tablet plenty of times and it connects right up.. it has a built in mic(s) and would also put the screens audio into the ear buds too hopefully..? DJI RC Controller w/ M3P.
You jumped ahead of me and got the Hollyland model that I ought to have bought. Instead I got the M1 version and had to source around for the proper USB-C dongle for it to work with the RC controlller. This would have been perfect
After watching your video, I bought a Lark C1 in USB C version to use with my DJI Mini 3 Pro, that I bought a couple of months ago. I can not get it to work. I have done a firmware update, but still no luck. Any suggestions, or am I doing something wrong?
I am seriously considering purchasing the Hollyland C1. My question is: what are the experiences like now? Still satisfied and would you buy it again if you had to do it all over again? Why yes or maybe why not? Am curious. Greetings from the Netherlands.
nice tip thanks!! i will try that!! i wish i could do the same with the mavic air 2 as well.. dji should do the m3 pro controller compatible with ma2 do, is that much to ask for!?? lol
I don't want wireless mics due to the potential RF interference between the RC & the Mini 3 Pro. I'm also looking for separate wired mics, with stereo channels, that I can either put on a table, or on their own stand; ideally, either shotgun, or parabolic.
So I bought the Lark c1 - It does not work with DJI RC N1 - Nor can I get it to work with the DJI rc - Very frustrated. I cannot find any tutorials to help and nothing has work thus far.
Oh no, sounds like something wrong as they are compatible. Try double checking the firmware on your controller is 100% up to date as it was only more recent DJI enabled mic support. It only works on the screen recording, not on the drone’s recording.

480p only on screen recording? Terrible. Not having a microphone is another reason i rather use my phone on the other remote. This remote seems like a waste of money to me. What is the actual advantage of that remote? Kther than not having to use a phone. Is there any useful features i don't know about? Great video though.

Great find and video. How do you trasfer the sound to the drone card

Epic video this time Simon, thanks for the mic info

Very nice video. The Lark C1 you demo'd appears to be a great mic to pair with the RC controller.
It would be nice if you did a step by step demonstration paring the device to the remote. I'll watch the video again and see if I missed anything.,
No need to pair. Just plug it in :)
WOW! Great catch, Simon! Sounds awesome and great specs! Thanks!

@@benjaminuffermann you recommend to clap before you initially start speaking?
@@benjaminuffermanngame changer. I didn’t have sd in remote. That may have been why
I can’t figure out how to get sound with it plugged in

Hi it's compatible with DSLR?

I just purchased the lark c1 in usb c to use with my DJI Mini 4 Pro and it doesn’t work with rc2 controller

I found my usbc hands free mic on my samsung s20 works fine for the job to
You mentioned about attaching the mic to the drone and it goes to 600 feet. Have you tried that?
nice tip thanks!! i will try that!! i wish i could do the same with the mavic air 2 as well..

Will this work with the RC-N1 controller? Thanks!
Has anyone actually got this to work on their mini pro 3?? I've ran several updates and I'm still not getting audio.

Personally, I have not noticed any interference but then for the most part I am not in a heavy radio area when I tend to fly.
Does the M1 mic setup work the same way.

I'm using the ULANZI Lavalier Microphone Wireless USB-C, J12 Wireless Microphone for my Dji Rc Controller
And it really, is very good for the price. 😊
Brilliant, thanks for the recommendation :)
Can you confirm this records also to the 4k recordings ? Or only to the screen recordings
Only to screen recording
Danke🙏thank you
With the screen recording, how do you get rid of the icons and the grid lines?
You can't. For clean video, record onto the memory card on the drone itself (however, this will have no audio).
Do theses still work on mimi 3 pro thanks
Will it work with the dji rc n1 using a phone for the screen?
FYI - I bought the mic for the DJI RC N1 - IT DOES NOT WORK! HAVE TO HAVE THE DJI RC.

Superb bit of kit sounds a good investment 👍
Ouch...they're not cheap that's for sure.
