Thanks Bud, indeed, having a dog is almost primaeval and ancient partnership, I am fortunate to have deer fenced woodlands nearby safe from livestock, however, our new dog will be on a lead until its 18 months so it will take a while. All the best. Harry.

question ... I gather that this fire rope is 3/8 inch gasket material for the door on a wood stove. is that correct? also why would it not work in a trangia (or knock off) stove?
It’s a sheltered spot, but as ugly as it gets I’m afraid. No flora or fauna the sun is blocked out and no wildlife. I hate those tightly planted pine forests. Thanks for the vid.

If you had the bigger BCB mk 2 stove you could use a trangia alcohol burner
