- Today we are touring a beautiful family farm! It once was a 70 cow dairy farm and has recently transitioned to being a crop farm. Over the years they have acquired some amazing John Deere Tractors and Equipment, along with adding on and upkeeping a spectacular set of farm buildings. It’s ashamed so many Wisconsin Dairy Farmers and all over the Nation are not milking anymore. What a beautiful setup.
same thing has happened here in the UK around me everyone milked and now no one does , it seems crazy to me

Beautiful farm, I hate to see the cows gone. To me, the animals are what bring a farm to life.
Nice looking tractors
Loved to see the barn tour and the dairy setups. Unfortunately most of those size dairy farms are empty in our area of Wisconsin because of milk prices and retirements. We stopped milking in 2000 in a 50 cow stantion barn and gutted it for storage purposes. That setup looks like it is almost turn key to start milking cows again.
What an amazing farm, and a beautiful cow barn!! Very similar to the bigger dairy farms where I grew up in New Jersey, same barn cleaners!! Those tractors are so well cared for, wow!! Everything is so clean, thanks so much for the tour!!
real nice john deere's the old ones were really good. sad to see a farm that was that well set up shut down because there was no way to make a living just like here we are the only farm left on our road now. take care, be safe and well.
For 12 years I drove trucks in our 48 states and there are so many barns just like this that have no life left in them, just sitting idle.

What a beautiful site all the well kept green John Deere tractors.Barn is great set up for milking.I do understand the decision since many farmers around this area are going to mainly crops and losing a lot of dairy farms.Thank you and your family for taking time out to show us this great farm tour.

Always super interesting to see what others do for farming and their knowledge. What works here doesn't work there, or maybe what works there will work here.
Love the 4320 !!! But also the 4450 and the 3020 !! And maybe all the them !! Really like to personally see the barn and walk through it
looking at that old cow barn was like going back to the 1940s, that is really old time great looking farm, that's my kind of farm good video, every interesting

The shame is that our government wants all the small family farms gone.
More than the feds. Locals taxed my farm out of existence. Government people are low-life scum. Look at the disabled veteran in Tennessee the FBI killed. It's everywhere.

Back in the 60's, we had 2 4020's to farm with, then my dad traded one of them for a 4320. We thought we had really upgraded, lol. It had more power, but wow, that engine put out A LOT of heat, lot more than the 4020's. Ours was just like this one, diesel, wide front end, row crop. That is a very nice restoration. Thanks for sharing.

You should buy the 4320 to pull your planter you have for your farm. It would make a great addition to the Geriok farm equipment line up.

4320 was the favorite for sure.
They definitely should still raise feeder cattle with that nice of a farm setup and feedlot. Fill the silos again with feed . Raise like 100 weaned beef or dairy steers to like 800-900 lbs then sell to auction.
Nice video. The stanchons in the dairy barn reminds me of our operation back in the 1950s. We had 18 stanchions with 9 to a side. The cows faced each other and were fed down the middle. However we did not have a gutter cleaner.
Those guys got a lot to be proud of, very nice farm.

That was a nice place. Love the architecture of the old wood barns. Everything now days is red iron, sheet metal, and concrete. All the green paint is looking good too. From old to newer they all were equally sharp. I heard him mention a TW 25 that was sold. I've noticed from all my farming TH-camrs that Blue paint just wasn't that popular out there. How near to your farm is this one. I noticed the terrain here is a bit more flat.
4450 and 4560 and 4320 are my favorites
My family's barn had a jamesway bunk feeder like the one in that barnyard. It rarely had a problem besides periodic replacing the galvanized hood sections that the shuttle rode on because they would rust out. The single chain conveyors that went to it would rust out more often
They are right down the road form me, worked on the harvestore silo unloader their for a bit till the old man pulled the plug!
What an awesome fleet and dairy set up. Brings a tear to my eye that the cows are gone. But I understand why.

Nice farm! Can't argue with the tractor lineup, either, lol. None of the ones I worked on had conveyor systems, and our gutter cleaners ran it up a ramp and into the spreader, but everything else looks very familiar.
You certainly did get a workout filling those mows with hay and straw! BUT, come fall, winter and spring, it sure made feeding and bedding easier to have them all right there.
Last one I was at had a 5-something with a loader; a 4020 (silo blower, and feed grinder, mainly) 2 2950's (a little of everything- inc snowblowing in winter. 1 lived on the TMR mixer), a 2440 (turd hearse, mostly); a 4440 (plowing and chopping), an 8440 (plowing/tillage, and pile packing), and some sort of all wheel steer Case. Can't remember the model#, but it had a big ol Detroit in it, with a bellow that could be heard for miles under a load!! (big square baler, chisel plow, hauling grain wagons) It was interesting, hopping from tractor to tractor- so many different tranny's to adjust too. Shuttle shift on the bucket tractor; syncro on the 4020; hi-lo on the 29's, quad on the 24; powershift on the 44... I REALLY liked the 29's for most things, but in crap weather and when we were cleaning out the freestall barn, it was the 2440- it had heat! and a radio, lol. The 29's were both open station, but flat floored. It seemed like you had 1/4 acre of floor space, lol. He had a JD backhoe, too, most days it was used to load the TMR mixer from the piles.

Almost made me cry seeing that empty barn but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do at least they still crop farm I don’t think I could do it I would get a couple beef beautiful equipment

They take a lot of pride in their machinery and facilities. A number of dairy farms in our area have made similar transitions. The whole video was interesting. Hate to see facilities/silos/etc. sitting unused, but every farm has it's own circumstances that have driven the decision to change their operation. Some have begun raising heifers for large dairies or feeding beef cattle to make use of their livestock facilities.

Where is the top member of the 3 point on the 4320? I grew up on a 1965 4020. My first tractor was a 1968 5020. I now have a 4010 and a 4020. The transmission on the 4320 you run is called sycro range.
Any thought to raising beef? Really nice feedlot there 🐃
Would be kinda cool to have a rock pulverizer on a farm with rocks, that way you could put the rock dust back on the field for the minerals.

You guys need a 4320.
Synchro range transmission in that 4320 is confusing when you first look at it but once you get used to it's really simple. First one I ever drove was a neighbors and he just told me to get on it help him pull out another tractor he had stuck. I starred at it for a couple minutes and he finally jumped up there and told me how to put it in gear.
